thanks for sharing the seet pictures of your DD and the very cute skirt :thumbsup2

The skirt looks great Stephanie!! I have started a few projects. We'll see how they end up.

I love my Rebel and your pictures look fantastic! Looks like you're already getting the hang of it. :goodvibes

The skirt is awesome! I have a sewing machine (got it just a few months ago) but still haven't made anything with it. I would love to one day be able to make something that cute! Your DD is so adorable. :)

That skirt looks great! And the pictures from your new camera are great too. Was the skirt hard to make? I'd love to make some skirts for DD, I never really thought about it before, just dresses!

The skirt looks so cute. You did a great job for it to be the first clothing you've sewn. :thumbsup2

How exciting that you've gotten a new camera. Looks like you're getting some good pictures with it already. I love my rebel xsi, but I still shoot on auto-mode most the time! :)

What a cute skirt!!! I must say, being a ballet teacher, I LOVE the middle picture. Look at her beautiful little tendu!!! :goodvibes

Thank you Meghan :) I figured you would like that picture if you noticed :) What a good little dancer.

You did a great job on the skirt! The skirt and the little girl in it are adorable:cutie:

Thank you Jenny! :goodvibes

Thanks Katie! I love the Rebel XS I just got. We were debating between XS and XSi but after speaking to my friend who has a degree in photojournalism, for what I want to do the XS will suit us well. :goodvibes

It looks great, Stephanie!! Very good job! I love it!!!!

She looks so cute in those pics, too. I have a Rebel XT (about 4 years old) and it takes really good pics. I still haven't figured out how to use it properly, unfortunately. I am not sure I'm taking it to Disney, though. It's so big and difficult to lug around...but I love the pics it takes...decisions, decisions! :confused3

Thanks Leanne! I sure your things will look great! Thanks--I am still trying to figure my way around. I have not been brave enough to try out the full manual settings let, but one of these days I will. Perhaps not before we go to Disney, but at some point.

Thanks Christina! The big thing is just diving in and trying. There are some great tutorials on YouTube that you can watch. There are a few I want to watch (again) before I start the next two projects. :goodvibes

Thank you!! The most difficult part was adding the elastic around the bottom of the skirt because you have to pull it taunt and sew it down at the same time. It really was fairly easy to make. :thumbsup2

There are great patterns on You Can Make This or Etsy. This skirt directions are from Etsy.

Thanks Michelle--I am pleased with how the skirt turned out. I debated between the xs and xsi but after speaking to a friend (photojournalist) she said with what I hoped to capture the xs would be a great camera for us. :thumbsup2

Very cute skirt (and model) Congrats on the new camera. Pics look really good!

Hey Stephanie! As I said earlier, you did a great job on the skirt! Very cute! I can't believe you just got that camera! You were taking pictures today like a pro! :thumbsup2 Would you mind sending me a few of the photos?

Emily had such a fun time playing with Lilian, she can't wait until next week. She told me we need to get a water bottle like yours too!

Very cute skirt! Your dd looks so cut in it too. :goodvibes

I have a Rebel xt and love it! It's actually spending a couple of weeks at Canon getting repaired because I got the dreaded 'Err 99' message that is somewhat common with some of the older models. I was just starting to use full manual mode and feel like I knew what I was doing (after a year, lol) when it broke. *sigh* Oh well, only a couple more weeks and I'll have it back! I hope you're having fun with your camera!

You're very right! You actually really inspired me with the skirt so I am shopping online for fabric to try something out. It's not going to be a skirt or anything, but it'll be a first step!!!

I'm joining in; still have much to go back and read :)
We'll be there around the same time (sept 15 - 20)!!
Your DD is adorable :cutie:

Cute skirt!! You did a great job! :)
Congrats on the new camera too! I am hoping to get a new camera soon too! I too am looking at the canon rebel.

Thank you! I am happy with it :) They are much bigger than other cameras. What bag are you carrying to the park? Are you thinking a backpack? a smaller VB bag?

Great job on the skirt!! Lilian is adorable!

Thanks Jenny! I think so but I am biased. :lovestruc

Very cute skirt (and model) Congrats on the new camera. Pics look really good!
