We are brand new DVC owners and will be taking our first trip home in Nov (yeah!!). We will be staying at VWL in a 1 bdrm. I have a 3 yr old and infant twins so I need a room that isn't too big a hike to elevators but I'd love to see Bay Lake and Electric parade from a balcony. Is this possible?? Any suggestions?? Experiences?? Thanks so much. I've learned alot from this BB and hope to be a contributing member soon. So far I don't have any experience to share:o Thanks again.

Welcome Home! We stayed in room 5519 in July and loved it! It's close to the elevators, on the corner, so the room is actually bigger. Perfect view of lake, woods, pool. I wish you luck in getting a great room! Have a wonderful trip!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Could you please describe how this villa is set-up? Thanks! ;)

Sure...

When you walk in the front door to the left is the bathroom and to the right is the dining/living area. The regular rooms have like a bar seating in front of the kitchen. In 5519 the room was larger so the couch sat infront of the bar area. It has a dining room table w/4 chairs. When you're facing the TV there are 2 windows, to the left of the couch is the balcony and I guess what some people would call a hall way. It has an additional window and you can get the the masterbed room and the kitchen when passing thru this way. The masterbed seemed a bit larger, had it's own balcony as well. I would ask if it's available that day, especially w/3 children, I know you would LOVE the extra room! We couldn't believe when we walked in...we felt like we won lottery. Good luck!!:p

DH and I loved 5519 but kept saying that we were glad there were only 2 people in the room because it didn't seem like it would accomodate more than that as comfortably as a dedicated 1 BR. There was significantly less closet space.
