Okay, I'm getting ready to book and can only get the 1 bedrm. We have two kids ages 8 and 10. Anyone stayed in the 1 bedrm with four people? Does it feel crowded? Is it worth it to book Bonnet Creek 1 bedrm over other resorts like Wyndham Cypress Palms 2 bedrm? (I'm getting same rate there for 2 bedrm)

We've stayed one time in a 1 Bedroom Presidential. I think they'll be room enough for 4 since two are your children. I would not suggest it for 4 if there were 2 couples. The kitchen and dining areas are large so once you're past the sleeping part, there's definitely enough square footage for everyone to not feel crowded. I'm assuming (and I may be wrong) that the Presidential units and regular units are the same size. One side note though, I've seen some people getting great rates for the 2 Bedroom at Bonnet Creek (just about $100/night). They're probably booking in the 60 day window and that seems to be easy enough to do there. We traveled in busy April and booked at the 60 day mark (i.e. reduced rate) without any problem. Just sayin'....:3dglasses

thanks for your help. i'm booking through afvc so getting the 1 bedrm for 53$ night. Is is worth it? I can't seem to find a rate that cheap on any other website. I'm looking at bonnet creek over the wyndham property because it has such great reviews and pics, plus the nice pools.

I would take Wyndham Bonnet Creek - the location and pools/lazy rivers are awesome.

We just got back from BC and we were in a 1 BR -- we being 2 adults and DD9. We would like to have had more room, and will get a two-bedroom next time...but we're using our Wyndham points, not paying OOP.

I guess I'd have to decide how much difference I'd have to pay over the length of the stay, but if you can swing it, I'd go for the 2 BR. Don't forget that a two-bedroom is also a two-bathroom, and that can make a big difference sometimes.

No, because with my two kids we ALWAYS get 2BR units (or, at worst, 1BR+lofts). I would not want to make do in a 1BR to save a few bucks. If money isn't tight, get the 2BR. If money is tight, I would rather get a 2BR at Vistana or Cypress Pointe (where you might be able to rent for a little bit less).

Thanks, I'm going thru ge travel and getting a 53$ night rate. The rate is the same for the 1bedrm at bonnet creek or the 2bdrm at cypress palms. vistana is not a choice through this club. Do you know anything about wyndham cypress palms?

If the kids are like mine and won't sleep together on the sofabed, that's one problem. If you're not on the same sleeping schedule, that's another.

I really like having everybody tucked away in a bedroom at night. DH can stay up late watching movies in the living room while the rest of us go to bed. I can get up early in the morning to read and relax without waking anyone up.

On the other hand, if a 1br was all we could get, we'd survive. it just wouldn't be optimal.

Thanks, do you know anything about cypress palms? I really am feeling like i need the 2 bedrm but its' not available for my timeframe at bonnet creek, but is at cypress palms.

We stayed at Wyndham Cypress Palms a couple of times. It has been several years but as I remember it was nice but not spectacular. Just a regular swimming pool, mabe 2, no shuttles to the parks, and I think it is quite a drive to the parks because of the traffic. It is still much better than a hotel room though. 4 people in a one bedroom is doable but for a whole week it might get cramped unless you only use the room for sleeping.

Cypress Palms is in Kissimmee just off of Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway - it sits behind a couple of restaurants like a Cracker Barrel, Chili's, - it doesn't have themed pools with slides like Bonnet Creek. I'm not sure if it's been completely remodeled or not yet. It will have just regular swimming pools - no lazy rivers, themed slides, etc. like Bonnet Creek. It comes up frequently on RCI on Last Call Deals for under $300 for the week.

Can you go later? I saw some 2 bedrooms on the government site at Bonnet Creek for November and December for $53 a night.

I just booked that week got a 2 bedroom the week after thanksgiving on the government site 349.00 plus tax can't wait B creek looks great cant wait to stay there hoping for warm weather so we could swim :lmao::lmao:

Have you ever been at that time of year? What are crowds like? I am in a quandry....the week after thanskgiving 2bdrm bonnet creek or october 22 at cypress palms 2bdrm.

I have been there that week love it the weather could be cool or warm it depends love that time of year we usually stay at disney we are dvc owners but with the deal I got for b creek I saved my points and we are going to stay there. Love all the decorations that time of year...good luck with your decision....

I wouldn't swear to this, but I'm pretty sure the BC pools are heated. The weather during our stay last week was very mild (60's at night, 80's during the day, except Friday) and we noticed the warmth of the pools. Even on Thursday afternoon, which was rather warm, you could feel the warmth.

Of course you have to get out of the pool sometime...and that's where the problem might come.

Thanks for all your help! I almost went with the week after Thanksgiving just to get Bonnet Creek 2bdrm at that price...but the sad reality is that our holidays are always so stressful with kids activities and entertaining, I knew I couldn't handle a trip at that time of year in addition!

And, because DH was adamant that we get the great prices on getravelop instead of going through another site, we opted for Wyndham Cypress Palms 2bdrm unit in October, our total price with VIP discount was 337$ for 7 days!!!! I will definitely scout out Bonnet Creek, though, and be watching for the 2 bdrm for our next trip!

Tracy, enjoy your stay!

have a great stay october is a great time to go. One question what is a VIP discount ????
