I'm looking to book a 1 BDR @ BWV for Labor Day Weekend (9/1-9/4). I've never stayed at BWV before. I don't know which view to ask for and frankly don't know what my chances are getting each of the available views. Need some advice. Thanks.

It may be tough getting BWV for Labor Day. You won't have access to Standard view since that will be sold out. You probably won't have access to Boardwalk view since that will also be sold out. All that is left is the Preferred View - pool/water views. If they aren't booked already, too.

Good luck.

I think you would still have a good chance of getting a one bedroom for labor day. Most states schools are all open and family's with kids wont be visiting. The view is up to you and how important it is.I have soved money by renting standard view rooms and as such most are rented out first. The boardwalk views are supposed to be the best and are also highly sought after.I have enjoyed the preferred view room overlooking the quiet pool.I think if your serious you should start making phone calls now and see whats available..good luck

We had a quiet pool view (preferred) last September at BWV. Here it is:

We loved it!

I'm going to call MS tomorrow morning as soon as they open. I've heard that the Boardwalk views can be noisy. Is this true? What are the different preferred views again?

We are staying there in a week and were also worried about the noise from the Luna pool. When I asked MS the hours for the pool, I was told it was opened until midnite!! With DD 2 and DD 4, I don't think we can handle noise all day and nite. We have heard alot about the quiet pool. Does anyone know the hours? And is it really alot quieter? Any other suggested views to request for preferred? Any chance of seeing any fireworks from a non-BW view? Also, how far is the elevator from the quiet pool?

We had a 1 bedroom at BWV with the best view! We over looked the quiet pool and also the canal. I loved sitting on the balcony in the morning drinking my coffee watching the the activity in the canal. Loved it!!

Good luck on getting your rm.

Going on Labor Day weekend, you may not have to worry about this problem... If I were in your shoes, I would take what view that was available, and then waitlist for the one you want. :thumbsup2

Boardwalk View: Exactly what is sounds like... These are the rooms with a guaranteed view of the Boardwalk and the Lagoon... Some people love them, others prefer not to have them because of fear of the extra noise.. (Personally, I don't think the noise is that big of an issue.)

Preferred View: These rooms are the exact same point costs as the Boardwalk view, but have views of the canal or pool areas.

Standard View: Cheapest point wise... These rooms have views front the front of the resort... Usually the parking lot and the pond... Sometime these rooms can be a bit of a walk from the entrance into the resort... I prefer the Standard View over all others because I can stretch my points further and stay longer. :woohoo:

Hope this helps..
