Hi all! I guess I am the first to start! I've been "cruising" the boards since I booked a week ago. I am hoping we aren't alone on the ship, lol! Who else is going?:dance3::rotfl:

I listed the cruise as a Bamamas cruise....but it is Carribbean!!! LOL! I don't care where we go, as long as we are on Disney!!!

Hi! I am hoping to start a fish extender (my first one), so let's meet and greet!:dance3::cheer2:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Looks like we are still the only family on this cruise....I guess I will get all my spa appointments, Palo reservations and lots and lots of pixie dust!!! LOL

We will probably be joining you. Talking over the choices with family. We were booked on the cruise right after this one, on February 2nd to Coz and CC. FLR rates just came out for the month of January. I'm not willing to wait and find out if the same will happen for February!

There will be 2 staterooms, Me, DH and DD in one and the inlaws in the other. Our cabin will do FE if we get some more participants. In laws don't know the DCL ropes, so I don't suspect they'll want to.

I'm so sorry, but our family actually had a conflict, so we cancelled this cruise and booked the January 14th sailing....enjoy your cruise!

We're officially booked, ready to sail, and wondering where all the other cruisers are!

We have 2 cabins booked so far. Cat 5B! First time we've had a balcony! We're on deck 7. We're working on asking other Florida family members to see if they want to join in on the great deals.

EDIT: Official Roll Call List

Hi everyone...were going too. Me(dad) aka Donald. Daisy(mom) and Goofy(7 yr old Brooke) so excited..cant wait!

Welcome, it seems we're the only two DIS Families on this ship! Are you also on cruise critic? There are a couple families over there too.

Good news is, all the reservations for spa, Palo, port adventures, and the nursery are WIDE open!

Hi Everyone,

My 10 year old daughter and I are sailing this one too (back to back with the Jan 24th Wonder to Bahamas). Can't wait! Agree these boards are very quiet! Do they ever cancel cruises if not enough people? I hope not!

We're booked on our first Disney Cruise on the Wonder leaving out of Miami on 1/28!! Myself, DW, DD-7 and DD-5. We've got our flights booked, rental car reserved to get to and from Port of Miami, hotel booked night before near Ft. Lauderdale, online check in completed, excursions booked, Brunch reservation at Palo, door magnets....I think the last thing we need to do is pack. :cool1:

Any advice from previous Disney Cruisers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is anyone doing a Fish Extender for this cruise? I am not sure how the process starts of getting people together to do it

We'll participate if we can get a group going. Just our cabin though, not the inlaws.

Welcome! Sounds like the only thing you are missing is pirate costumes! ;)

We've only sailed once before, on the Magic. But we did learn a few good tips.

*Eat lunch in Parrot Cay, the first day (and others if you want the buffet). They serve the same lunch buffet but you are seated at a table and a server gets your drinks and keeps them filled. More relaxing than the regular buffet, in our opinion. Quieter too.

*Directly after the lifeboat drill, get up to deck 10 to find a spot to watch the Sail Away Party from above. Generally less crowded and you get a good view of everything. But, you need to get there early to get a spot by the railing. We are going to bring our cameras to the lifeboat drill this time

*Bring your own booze in your carryon. It is allowed by DCL, as long as you carry it on. This way, you get what you like and it is much cheaper.

*Check the navigator bar hours for 2 for 1 deals. They are sometimes listed in one of the bars just before dinner service.

*The Disney shows are not to be missed and children CAN sleep through really loud music and pyro techniques, if you are willing to hold them while they sleep. DD fell asleep halfway through every night, she was zonked, so we didn't have to miss any of the shows. Her normal bedtime was around the same time as the shows.

Anyone have plans for the ports yet?

In GC we'll be booking the Turtle Farm thru their website to save some money.
In Cozumel, we're booking a day at Mr Sanchos and doing the All Inclusive package.
