Hi all,

well I decided to book a parasailing excursion for Castaway Cay, at 3:30pm. I thought it was a bit $$$ but I decided the chances of getting an OBC for the fuel surcharge are getting better and better...so.

Anyone else signed up for 3:30? I will be leaving my family behind...DD is too young, but Dh would totally do it if he could.

Hi! to all the new disers and to the old. We are all getting excited here. The boys are getting very anxious. We likely will play it low key on the cruise but do plan on going to Cape Canaveral the day prior to sailing. Nothing like 3 boys and high tech stuff. Otherwise the boys are just looking forward to the pool, ocean and the sand. I see a giant sand crater in our future....likely many. Glad to see that all the kids will be about the same age groups. They will all have a blast together and hopefully make lasting friendships and great email buddies. Hoping that us parents will be able to do the same.:)

OK, seriously, I CANNOT be the only person obsessing about this cruise...can I...:)

Right now I am shopping for an FE either on ebay or from a dis person; trying to get swicthed to early dining with daily calls to DCL; looking up oil prices to see if I will get my fuel surcharge reimbursed (dec. 18, people!!!); getting FE trinkets while I do my xmas shopping, and checking DCL website to see if we have a stateroom assigned!!!

I also love trip reports!

I guess that's it for now. What else are you guys working on for your cruise?

Oh no my friend, you are NOT the only person obsessing! My husband is ready to stage an intervention for my "disney illness"! Not a moment goes by that I am not thinking about this cruise. I actually skipped my run today, just to spend more time at the craft store looking for FE stuff.

Speaking of running, did you hear that "Jay" is being transfered to the Magic. So hopefully we will get to do the CC 5k.

I've read/reseached this so much that I hope I'm not going to be disappointed because I am expecting so much, and little will be a surprise.

Sophie and Cyndi you are so funny obsessing over the cruise. I suppose I to think about the cruise a lot. However I am trying to make it through Christmas before I start panicing about the cruise stuff. I haven't even begun thinking about gifts for the FE exchange. I also don't know how I am going to make our families FE I am hoping to get a sewing machine for Christmas then I will be able to make one (we'll see how that goes).
Well I am glad everyone is getting excited about the cruise and hopefully everyone will get their fuel surcharge back.

Yay for Jay! I would love to do this run, however DH may win out. In either case, at least it gives DH something to get excited about!

BTW I have started a trip report. DH thinks it is pathetic and a cry for attention...maybe he's right!!! lol Here it is, I will also add it to my siggy in a minute. Come on over and post some stuff!

ok, I'm an airhead! I just read some other's posts and see that they know about this amazing place. Please, anyone with advanced knowledge of this place... please offer insight

Hi Cyndi,

I saw lots of info on cruisecritic boards. It sounds like a good place, but with a cost per person and everything is included. Good reviews all around!

Cyndi,

me again. I saw your magnet for our cruise (Mickey head, 3 people, cabin #, names and date) . Can you tell me what image you started from...I would steal your idea for our door. I am lazy, just need to change the names and remove the cabin #...we have no cabin number yet)!!! I think by personalizing we have less ripoff chances!

off to bed I go!

shhh... don't tell anyone, those (hopefully) are going to be one of our FE gifts... yours wont have a cabin number, unless you get one within a week or two from the sail date... I wish i was going to bed, I'm still at work Ugh

Hi everyone...I am having computer problems and it's driving me crazy! As for Nachi, we've never been but I've read the reviews and we booked it. I'm a little concerned about the weather but we'll roll the dice. Last time we went to Chankanaab for the dolphin swim so this is cheaper than that by a lot!!

Most of the reviews I read said that kids will be bored and they're better off at Paradise Beach which has the water trampoline and iceberg climb. This advice I just don't get. We take our kids to the beach all the time and they don't suffer b/c there's no toys to climb on in the water. What the heck more do they need than water and sand??

Besides, if they're out there with a million other kids climbing on that stuff, then I have to be out there with them supervising and I much prefer sitting on my butt drinking margaritas...so there! That's my 2 cents on the subject :thumbsup2

Linda,

I agree with you on the toys. If nachi didn't have a cover charge we'd be heading there too. I will be looking for all you guys' report on that place because we're sure to go back to Coz one of these days!

BTW, will you be doing a trip report? I loved your cruise report from a couple years ago! popcorn::

Just popping in to say woo hoo! We can finally say "our cruise is next month!" :cool1:

Linda,
I'm with you on the toys. Actually my daughter is too young for that stuff and all I'll hear is her whining about how she wants to go out there. So I too will have to be out there with a bunch of 11 year olds- not my idea of relaxation. Also, I heard food/drink was expensive and it can get crowded. So we think Nachi will be the best choice for us. We'll see.

Oh man, now you guys have me 2nd guessing myself! I hate that ...lol. More research ahead (however, Dh would be the one chasing DD around, that is how it usually goes!)

Any other cruisers booked their excursions yet?

OK, I tried to avoid it, I tried to stay away, I didn't want to obsess. BUT...seeing as how I just PURCHASED something for the FE exchange, I guess I should officially JOIN the FE exchange :lmao:

We are Chuck, Linda, Stephanie (11), Tommy (9) and Kevin (6) and we are in rooms 2624 and 2622. I'm not sure which door the FE will hang from, we'll have to decide once we get on the ship.

Hope it's not too late. Thanks!!
