Hi again everyone! We are so excited to be in the 75-day window!!!

Can we please be added to the fish extender list? We have two cabins (2640 and 3638) but will only have one fish extender for the three children in our group.

Here is our group info again:

Me (Sara) -- 33
Joey (my DH) -- turning 38 the last day of the cruise!
Grace (DD#1) -- 7 (she turns 8 two weeks after the cruise)
Becca (DD#2) -- 6
Janet -- MIL--turning 60 on 1/26!!!
Kim (SIL) -- 38
Jay (BIL) -- 34
Amelia (my adorable niece) -- 3

I had a ton of error messages when trying to make reservations last night but finally got our excursions booked at 2am! Here is what we have planned.

Key West -- the boys are doing the white knuckle boat trip; the girls and kids are just exploring on our own

Grand Cayman -- we are all going to Boatswain's; I was nervous about the mixed reviews but we are hopeful that we will all enjoy it

Cozumel -- we all doing the Dolphin Discovery

My DH and BIL are taking my MIL to Palo on Formal Night (her actual birthday); they are getting all dolled up in tuxes (so NOT my dh!) for her 60th birthday:) I was only able to get 8:30 but it worked out because then my SIL and I were able to get High Tea that afternoon so we have our own time to treat her and she can have some sweets to hold her over until dinner:)

DH and I booked an exotic Rasul for the second sea day:) My MIL wants to do a cabana massage on Castaway Cay, so that is our birthday present to her (since the cruise was her gift to all of us!!!).

I am so relieved about having all of that booked. Now our only dilemma is being waitlisted for first dining. My dd has a medical need though and her neurologist is filling out the medical forms listing it, so hopefully that will help get us on the earlier plan.

Less than 3 months!!!!!

congrats on all your reservations. When i logged on at midnight, the tea was blocked out, but we got brunch at Palos, the only thing I really wanted. It is for Sunday morning at 1030 am. I figure we can hit keywest after . I'll put DH5 in the club for the hour or two, that's where she'll want to be anyway. I noticed there were lots of dinner slots open for Palos, another indication that the ship must not be too crowded.....ugh the economy! But this might bode well for all of us. BeccaGrace, which cabin are you hanging the Fish E from. Also, some people might want to surprise your MIL and DH with a little something, seeing that they have special events.

Is anyone spending the night in Cape C. before the cruise? There will be two families from our party staying at the Radisson....just an FYI. 74 days to go!!!!

Why can't I book the brunch? I really want to do this, not the dinner---I'm not a dress up person. :confused3

The brunch was full by the time I tried to book it last night. I thought it would be a nice thing for my husband and I to do, since we never have a moment to ourselves on vacation. Oh well...I booked the couples choice spa treatment instead!!! I think it was a good trade! The only other thing I've signed up for (so far) is parasailing at Castaway Cay. Our oldest three will do that with us. I plan on using the rest of our nursery hours a little bit at a time on the ship.

If you get to the terminal early enough and get on board early enough, you can make res for Palo brunch (or dinner). I have read that they "save" some spots for the day of. Also there are a couple of spa treatments that can only be booked on board in the spa the day of. The one we are hoping to get is the romantic hideaway for couples with a tea service, massage, verhanda with a hot tub and lounge chairs. 120 minutes of heaven!

I just checked the disney website and there was still brunch available for a table of 1 or 2 on sunday (keywest day) at 1030 am.

The wait is killing me!

I just booked our excursion online and paid the final payment. The airline tickets were paid a few months ago. Now there is nothing to do but wait.

Our son is turning 5 during the cruise and he is excited too. We've already watched the Travel Channel show about Disney Cruise Line a couple of times now.

Nope, it won't let me. I can reserve dinner, but not brunch. I'll try when I get there........ ;) The brunch and the tea are blocked out........ oh well!

Hi everyone...we'll be on this cruise with you guys. I was putting off joining this meet until we were paid in full, you know, just in case we backed out. But no such luck, you're stuck with us!!

We are cruising with our neighbors and another family from our town. My kids are Stephanie (11), Tommy (will be 9 at sailing), and Kevin (6). The families with us have 2 girls that will be 11, a boy who will be 7 and a girl who is 6.

We are Chuck and Linda, we're 40  and this will be our second Disney cruise. If you want to learn all about us, click on the link below for our trip report from 2006 (and then you will want to completely avoid us on the ship!!).

Steph wants to join the FE exchange but I'm still thinking about it. Don't know if I want to obsess over it or not ;). Looking forward to chatting with you guys.

If you don't, you'll be sorry when you get on the boat and see all the FEs filled with goodies. Just do something simple.

Gosh, after reading your report, I feel like I know you. Can't wait to meet you. I have to tell you that it is 12:43 am and I am laughing out loud/ and hard. I just read the part about beer belly guy while you were in Palos. That was hilarious! Is one of the couples that is going with you the same from your 1st cruise? Does Kevin still avoid "pish" water? and do you think he'll do the kids club this time?

Are you going to do the FE thing with us? Since you have a birthday boy, it might be extra special for him.

I'm still reading up on the FE thing. I need something to do to help me pass the time, so shopping for the FE and gifts could actually help! We are in room 6103 and our son's 5th birthday is Thursday (Jan. 29).

What is the total number of kids signed up so far? Is there a special DIS cruise meet logo to attach to our FEs so we all know who we are? If not, is anyone interested in making one that is unique to our cruise?

I'm also starting to read the discussion threads about making a custom door magnet. There is so much to learn for a first Disney cruise!

I too am trying to figure out this whole magnet thing. I am so computer-challenged. Some how I'll manage something.

I didn't know we were suppose to come up with a special DIS cruise meet logo- I think most of us are new to this whole thing. I'll think about it, but if anyone else has ideas, PLEASE post.

It looks like there are 9 "groups" of families that are signed up for the FE. It includes 20 boys and girls ages 2-14. If LINDASO and company join (and we hope they do) that will add 3 more families and 7 more children. If you join... well you can do the math.

I have always been a "more the merrier" kind of person, so I encourage all to join. You will NOT be graded on your FE or gifts (I'd fail) so don't let it stress you out. It is just for fun (for the kids).

This happened to us at the 100 day mark (or whatever the day count is for Castaway Club folks). Not sure why?

We are SO going for an upgrade at the Port - fingers crossed LOL.

Hello and Welcome to our new cruisers - looking forward to a great trip! :thumbsup2

Mighty Mike I wasn't sure if you wanted to be added to the FE exchange or not, so please let me know what you want.

Also regarding the magnets on our first cruise we did not have them, then last year I felt like I could make them, I think I stressed about it for 2 months trying to get it figured out. I was still making them the night before we left. I don't know how I managed to make them trial and error I think. Also my husband (a software engineer) was able to help, actually he probably ended up doing most of the work. So good luck to you. I haven't decided if I will be doing it again.

Also I was hoping someone could remind me, did we decide to assign days for the FE exchange? We have enough people now so each day can be assigned to a family and some days can have 2 families making deliveries. I am still hoping we will get more people to join too. Just something to figure out as we get closer to our vacation.

If someone comes up with a logo for us that would be awesome, it just won't be me not my area of expertise.

I hope everyone enjoys planning their trips. : )
