Welcome Kelly, your family will have so much fun on the cruise. I think a week before the cruise in WDW sounds like so much fun. We usually add one day, but never a whole week. My kids can't miss that much school.

I'd love to add on a week before or after, but we can only do one day max with the kids in school. That sounds fantastic!

Hi everyone. I haven't had much time lately to check the boards, but this week I suddenly got the Disney bug and decided to book everything. So the flight is set, the hotels are done, and the transportation is reserved. :yay:

I think I just wanted to have it all done so that my group (11 of us) would stop asking me questions!! Anyway, getting everything organized has me so excited. Can't wait! :cloud9:

I wish I would have booked flights already. Prices have already gone up. Grrr. :scared1:

bump...

getting to the six month mark!

I just checked the cruise price and for my cruise, it has gone up $600 since I booked in January!

Hi! We are in the process of changing our booked cruise to this one, thanks to deployment schedules!! We are very excited, and cruised the Eastern itinarary this past February, we had beautiful weather, so hoping for more of the same!
I am looking for excursions, ny husband wants to parasail. My children are Darren and Deanna, they will be 10 and 12 at the time of the cruise. I know they would love to be in touch wth other kids there ages.
We are flying in from Germany a week before the cruise and wll go to Disney for that week, my husband wants to be well adjusted to the time change before the cruise begins! We will stay at BCV and on Friday head to the port probably to the Residence Inn where we stayed last time.
Anyway, we are all excited, and can't wait! Guess we can all be excited here together!

Hi Everyone,

Only 6 months left. Anyone excited yet? Has anyone decided on what excursions they might want to do? :woohoo:

Still hoping for banana boat thing (assuming my kids are old enough), parasailing for me.

hi there, have any of you cruised this itinerary at this time of year before? just wondering about the weather and water activities. we are booked for may '09 but may have to move our reservation and this is a week we are considering...

This is my first January cruise. From what I understand, typically the weather is in the low 80s. water temps are on the cool side, but depending on what part of the country you live in, it may seem like super warm water for you (if you normally couldn't go swimming in January, for instance).

DH, me, DS12 and DS6. went on the eastern 1/19 last year too. being from the midwest the water was fine and I'm usually a wimp about cold water. swam at CC even. would have been fine there except for the wind. everywhere else was great. it's all about getting closer to the equator!

hoping to do the palo high tea this time. we lucked out and got brunch and dinner last time.

Hi everyone!!!
We are booked for this cruise to celebrate my MIL's 60th birthday!

Our group includes:
Me (Sara) -- 33
Joey (my DH) -- turning 38 the last day of the cruise!
Grace (DD#1) -- 7 (she turns 8 two weeks after the cruise)
Becca (DD#2) -- 5 now (she'll be 6 when we cruise)
Janet -- MIL--turning 60 on 1/26!!!
Kim (SIL) -- 38
Jay (BIL) -- 34
Amelia (my adorable niece) -- 2 now (she'll be 3 when we cruise)

DH and I took a cruise for our honeymoon but this is the first cruise for everyone else and the first Disney Cruise for all of us--we are VERY excited!

Hi there,
Need adopted family/friends  since this is my first time cruising solo, though I have been on the Disney cruises several times before. I'm nervous that I will feel odd, especially at dinner time. I'm mid-40's and have two children 12 & 17. I'll be taking my son on the eastern cruise in May for his graduation and my daughter opted for WDW next Oct for fall break. I know myself though, I'll get a major case of spring fever/winter blues so I booked a cruise in the heart of the dreary season.

Thanks,:)

hi everyone! this is a first time cruise for my hubby larry & I! i am very excited but nervous that hubby will be bored.. he is skeptical there are not enough things to keep him busy while on board.. any ideas?pirate: also he thinks that he may get seasick. we are on deck 7, and as a" first timer "on board i thought this would be a good location???

hi again. i amsiting here thinking how great it is gonna be on the magic in january! from where i am with my dhpirate: january will be cold and snowy:guilty: just imagine getting to port and there she sits the beautiful magic! all warm and welcoming!!:cheer2: a few words about myslef and the dhpirate: we live very near plymouth rock. anyone heard of the pilgrims out there? i am a grandmother of 6! yes 6! both dh & i have never crusied but been to wdw many times. now that we are 'all grown up" it is time for us to play!:yay: so i booked this cruise with the thoughts of acting like i am 5 since i just turned 50. we dropped the zero just for fun! i am nervous about this trip having never done anything like this before. i am also new at blogging. so i apologize up front for any mistakes along the way.:surfweb: but here goes the countdown is beginning.... 4 months and 27 days left to our 15/50 cruise!:cheer2:

Less than five months! Got to love that! Welcome to the thread! Magic, tell your husband he will have plenty of things to do on the ship. Buy the Passporter guide to DCL if you haven't already. It's helpful. :)

My partner and I booked this cruise. We are from Michigan. We will arrive three days early to do WDW. Our son will turn 5 onboard the cruise.

another newbie like us! welcome to you :goodvibes there is sooooo much to learn about all the "magic". i have purchased a passporter. thanks melrose :worship: although it is not the latest edition but it is a wealth of knowledge.:thumbsup2
i changed our ressie, so now we can book the shore excursions and palo sooner! i just called dcl & asked them (for those other newbies) to add the romance package. its a little more $$ but well worth it  even dh pirate: said go for it so we can book sooner:dance3:
