TW - good job!!!

Yeah I haven't even started my FE yet - I got all the stuff to go in them just not ours yet. I did buy the fabric though so at least I'm almost there - 5 days to do that and laundry :)

Thanks for the weather update, I have been checking the weather channel website the last few days. It is good to hear about it from someone who actually experiencing it. Now hopefully it will stay sunny :sunny: and warm there. Enjoy your time in the sun before the cruise.

roobug - good luck with your FE, it took me a few days, but this is the first thing I have ever sewn, seriously I just got sewing machine after Christmas. So hopefully everything will go as you want it to and you will be able to make a wonderful FE.:)

i almost forget....
anyone interested in renting an electric car at keywest. I have been in contact with a woman who owns conch electric cars. she gave us a great price and said i can share- just print this email and bring with you and she'll honor price for all:

"Listen don't worry about the time frame I will give you a car from the time(around 12 pm ) you arrive with the cruise-ship until 5 pm for 83.20 tax and all inclusive.
It would normally be the price of a 2 hour rental.
The cars are very safe we have 5 seatbelts in each one and you could if you want have your daugther between you two up front because there is 3 seatbelts and there she would be fine. But we can provide a car seat if you request it. Usually kids love to seat in the back, because it is a higher seat and they have a nice view.
I am glad we finally could talk.
Take a copy of this e-mail so when my drivers come pick you up there is no problem about prices etc.
Renata 305-731-9933 cell"

then i asked her if i could share the price and she said

You can offer that same price to your other friends if they want to get a
car too. I would match yours.
Thank you
And we accept all credit cards.
See you sunday
Renata

Hey Cyndik1111
What electric car rental company is this with? It sounds like a lot of fun! pirate:

:cool1: We got an upgrade!!!:thumbsup2

So I called to see if I could purchase an upgrade to a cat 10 because with the boys I was thinking it would be nice to have the spit bathroom, and the room lay out looked better. Well she said okay so you are in 6022 - I was like uhhmmm no we are in 6539. So we looked up on the layout and it is a cat.8. So we got the spit bathroom, and now we have a window too :cool1:

So I guess I will try to put a note on our old room. But at least we are still on the same floor. Does anyone know what happens to the package that you mail? I sent that out on Friday so it is going to 6539 - how do we get it to our new room?

So I took the money we were going to spend on the upgrade and got the REAS package instead - lots of romance with the two babies in the room but still - we get breakfast in bed one morning so it will be worth it.

Congrats on your upgrade and on booking the REAS!!!! That is so great:)

I think conch car company.

And roobug- congrats on your upgrade- unfortunately one of your FE gifts from us has your old room number on it and it's too late for me to change it. I'm so sorry:sad1: But the robes in the REAS package look terrific and I think you get a bottle of wine. Sounds heavenly!

I just was thinking-
If anyone gets an upgrade at the port (or after today- since lots are flying out in the next day or two and might not check the boards)
Please either come to the 1st meet on saturday at 3:15 or get a message to us somehow.
If there is no FE hanging from a room- we probably shouldn't deliver until we are sure that our FE people are still in that room.

Congrats to roobug on your upgrade, how fun for you. I agree with cyndi if there is no FE on the room we shouldn't deliver, good thinking cyndi.

Safe travels to everyone leaving soon. I will be hanging out on these boards until Thursday.

OK, this is weird! I just checked our cruise for prices and room availability. It shows there is still one secret verandah room available (7120) we have the same room on deck 6. It sleeps 3 people. has a full verandah, that has a "slight" obstruction. (very slight based on pictures) it has the open railing with plexiglass etc. It use to be a cat. 6 (or 5) but people complained about the obstruction, so disney made it a navigators verandah (cat 7). The forums all say these rooms (4 of them) fill up 1 year out.

Anyway, why is one still open? does that mean our boat isn't full or just newbies that don't know about the room. or the economy and people didn't splurge.????

Also- this could be an FYI for anyone who wants to upgrade at the port. If it's still available- might be a good deal.

Good luck to everyone and see you on the big fun boat!

Hello all.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I've just booked a cabin on this sailing.

It is just my husband and myself and we have booked a Category 12.

This will be our first 7 day Disney cruise and our 11th Disney Cruise in total.

They are still showing all categories of cabins from 4 to 12 on the Disney Cruise Line website.

It is very unusual for us to book so close to a departure date but we are very tired of the cold and snow and we needed some time away.

We usually sail every January but were not planning to this year.

Guess we just couldn't stand it:thumbsup2

I hope that everyone has a wonderful cruise.

Hey Cruisin! I don't blame you at ALL for wanting to get out of the cold and snow! I live in North Pole, Alaska and believe me, I am SO tired of the cold and snow and constant darkness! I hope you have a great cruise! Hopefully you can make it to one of the meets!

Hey tw - I will be on until Thursday as well so I will keep checking the posts... I am still trying to finish my FE gifts!

Hi Cyndik1111

We did not join in the FE exchange. However we would love to come to the meet and greet. Our cabin is 7556.
Leaving tomorrow. i am so excited!!!:cool1:

A quick hey to all of you from the MK!!!

we got in yeserday and had a fabulous day. Crowds are great; I posted a thread on the Theme Park forum. DD was so excited to be here with her cousin and rode BTMR together twice (imagine my 4 year old and 8 year old together at the very front of the train!!!) Fireworks were starting as werode the 2nd time, truly magica!

I'll be on every AM or so, it's coooollllddd to day (high of 50F!!!)

DH and I are so TIRED and looking forward to the cruise!

Hello Cruisin' - great to hear you broke down and decided to book. We are also SO SO SO sick of the cold, and the snow!!!

Sophie - thanks for the update - we are flying out tomorrow and even if it is a little nippy down there, it beats the pants off the weather up here so swimming pool here I come LOL :beach:

I have been keeping an eye on the available cabins and it really looks like we will not be at full sailing capacity. As Crusin mentioned, pretty much all Cat. are showing availability and I called last week to DCL and they actually have 2 Cat 3s (1 midship) and a Cat 2 available!!! Now, given the prices they quoted me, even with the Port discount I really don't think we could swing it, but I am really hoping I can move up from a porthole to a verandah. We started out with a GTY 12 and got a Cat 9 so that is great by itself, but to be able to move to a 5 or 4 for just a little $$ would be super. Hoping for pixiedust: but not really too worried if it does not work out.

We are flying out of BUF tomorrow around noon so I have to finish packing tonight and keep hounding DH to find his dress pants. He is a car guy (for a living) so does not exactly have 3 piece suits just lying around! I guess if he worked in an office it would be not such a big deal, but for us there is the one outfit for him which is used for all occasions and because we recently moved things are a little out of their usual place! Anyway, if you see a man in a shirt and tie and underwear on formal night you will know who it is!!
BeccaGrace - maybe that could be part of the 'underwear exchange'? LOL :crazy2:

Hmmm, I wonder how expensive it would be to upgrade at the port? We have a oceanview window now--but a verandah would be way better! Also, what would they do if I ordered a b-day celebration for our original room? Would they be able to switch it before we got in the room if it was early enough? Hmmm...
:beach:

Well, I have just printed our boarding passes so we are officially all-systems-go for our flight. I actually upgraded to business class (never done that before!) and will keep it a surprise for DH and DS. We are in Row 1 so maybe DS will get to check out the cockpit which I think he would like! Now I just have some :laundy: to do at home, pack up my desk here at work (it's also my last day in this job - am moving to a new job at a new location when we get back) and do a little running around. I'll then pick up DS at school and finalize packing and what we are wearing tomorrow morning. We will be leaving around 7am to drive to Buffalo (am just going to check the weather forecast now but should be OK) and then we will be ON OUR WAY!!!!!!

Can't wait to see everyone and visit the Magic again!

PS - Just watched Obama on TV - OMG he truly is an exceptional speaker....wish our PM was that engaging :sad2: It is interesting that even in Canada almost our whole department was in the lunchroom watching the swearing in and the speech.....we are all hoping for great things to come!

 DutchsMommy

I am also in Canada.

We fly out of Detroit, Michigan.:thumbsup2

Have a great trip.
