Oh, and thanks Cyndi for the info on sending a box. Seems pretty easy but I will have to figure out how soon to send it since I am way up here in AK!

Roo-Can't wait to see your little ones! It looks like there are several of us with infants/toddlers. We will have a blast in the new toddler pool!:dance3:

Wow only a little while to go. I have my hair appointment tomorrow, and my pedicure and waxing on thursday - so I'll be al ready when my mom leaves town:banana:

Finally got all the excusions, and reservations made. Now we just need to get the rainforest pass and our life will be complete.:cheer2:

And my boys decided that they are going to start sleeping through the night :cool1: although that will probably only last until the cruise then we will get them all messed up. But it will be worth it!!

WOW, we are up to 15 families for the FE. I think that's pretty good for mostly 1st timers. It seems we've all settled into this DIS addiction very nicely. But the question is.... Will we be able to quit once the trip is over?... my husband thinks not!

For our delivery of FE, it kind of has to change a little-
instead of 3 families x 4 nights (sat, sun, mon, tues)
it will be 4 families x 4 nights (sat sun mon tues) with one of the nights at 3 families.
Everyone still OK with this plan?? we've got 24 hours to finalize
AND 11 MORE DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cyndik1111, I only have 13 families, this is why... nikitta28 has 2 cabins so that family is posted twice on the FE list, but I only expect them to deliver gifts once. We also have to remember that BreccaGrace has pulled out of the FE exchange, because it was becoming to much for their family given other things going on for them right now (but I left them on the list in case anyone wanted to give them gifts anyway.)

That being said I assigned days for everyone to deliver (it is posted on the current FE list next to your name) and just added one family to Monday so there would be 4 deliveries made that one day.

Hey, we live about 3 miles from the Buffalo airport and we're flying out on the 21st too.
Maybe we'll see you in the airport- we're flying in to W palm beach to visit inlaws for a few. What time's your flight? We are 1150am Jetblue- LOVE THE TV/Leather seats/and extra room.

We are flying AirTran around noon - so really likely will see you! I currently have short on top hair with a fringe around the face and longer at back - and it is dyed with black and red patches (OK, sounds really weird but I like it LOL) and DH has red hair in kind of a military cut (not too much on top left!) and a red goatee (think younger Colonel Sanders:lmao: ) and 6 yo son who is blond and shaggy. Say hi if you see us!!!!

Thanks to everyone... totally excited we got in:banana: We are all looking forward to it, give us another excuse to go shopping :cheer2:
As I was reading through the thread I saw that Lindaso was looking for email buddies for her daughter and I believe that there are several that are already emailing. I talked to my DD and she was excited to have more email buddies and friends on the cruise, she's 10 going on 20 and don't think she wants the parents to cramp her style:confused3. Is there anyone organizing a meet for the kids? I know we will probably see very little of her during the cruise as she goes and does her own things.
We are all first time cruisers, but Disney veterans... we are actually still looking at excursions and what we can do with our 20 month old. Today we are booking the Sting Ray City Tour with Captain Marvins, we used to live in Miami and my DH and I have been to Key West many times. Still looking at what to do in Cozumel... anyone book something they are excited about in Cozumel?
We will be starting our vacation on Wednesday, spending 3 nights at the poly before the cruise, then another night, again at the poly after the cruise just to relax before we head back to a very cold New England.
Look forward to meeting everyone... I read that the meeting was at 3:15pm on the promenade lounge before the safety drills and then on the first day at sea. Did I get them right?

Hey I have a question about the 2nd meeting - it's at the cove coffee place right? Am I correct that we can not bring the boys there? If that is true we will work hard to get to the first meet and greet cuz I doubt we will make it to the other without the boys.

Okay another question - for those of you shipping boxes to the ship what are you planning on doing with the box for the way home? Is there a way to ship it back, or are you just going to put it into luggage? This paying for luggage when you fly is killing us how can we get all the junk for all of us into 2 large bags that weigh less then 50lbs?????

tw2123- sorry about the mix up on numbers. I didn't pay close attention when I counted. Still a pretty good showing IMO

I agree we have a great turnout. I just wanted to explain what I saw to make sure I wasn't missing anyone. I wouldn't want to leave anyone out.

Are we all closed up on the FE??? Cuz I am finishing packing, I bought the last of the FE gifts and if DH hears me say I need to go shopping for the FE again...

We're off Monday...if the planes are not frozen... -40 (that's Fahrenheit and celsius, because -40 is the joining point) for the next 3 nights. Let's say we are housebound now, and even if Florida weather is "only" in the 60's we will be swimming!!!

So, I am a little confused, do we give everyone gifts or only certain families certain nights, or do I give everyone gifts on Tuesday night? Sorry, I am kind of confused on how many gifts to have for folks. Please dumb it down for me:) Sorry!

OK- FE thing- (as I see it) you delivery all your stuff to all families sometime on Your assigned day( Tuesday for you) . You can do a few cabins at a time and spread it out all day, or all at once. You can save something for another day, if you want, but make the bulk of the delivery on Tuesday- We were thinking this would prevent FE overload, and spread the fun out. If tuesday isn't good for you, post it and someone will switch. or we'll work it out- no real hard and fast rules. after all this is suppose to be fun.

Oops, I didn't realize cove cafe was adults only. Want to switch the location? I do a little research- but if someone has a thought PLEASE chime in (I feel like I'm being controlling and making all the decisions. OK I am controlling, but I don't have to make all the decisions. Feel free to jump in and take over if you want to. I'm just about "controlled out" with this trip.

Yea, we have to close this FE thing(as much as I hate to exclude anyone) I just can't go to the store one more time. I have to get packing and ironing, and doing laundry and etc etc. Plus people will be leaving soon and might not check the site for updates.

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome. 10 more days! Today I got the kids excused from school, my mail stopped and went looking for "airline appropriate" luggage since I now have one bag that is TOO BIG.

We will try to come to a meet & greet, but traveling with a group of 19 it might just be chaos the first day. I know we will eat together but I don't think we will travel in a pack of 19 all the time. We aren't that organized!

First time cruiser here with questions:

Do the staterooms have amenities like shampoo, conditioner, lotion (like hotels have) or do i need to bring all that?

Should I bring our own beach towels to use on the boat? Will I need them for Castaway Cay or are they provided?

Love this site, all the great tips and nice people!

Thanks!
Emily

Hi everyone...checking in here with a confession. I haven't read this board in over 5 days and haven't given very much thought to this vacation at all. You are gonna die when I tell you the reason. Are you ready???

I have spent the last week reading the d*mn Twilight series and it has TAKEN OVER MY LIFE!! :rotfl2: Can you believe it?? I'm not obsessing over DCL, I'm obsessing over vampires. :lmao: :lmao:

But, that being said, I will be ready. I am 2/3 of the way done with book #3. I will probably finish #4 before we even set foot on the plane. And when it's all said and done, I will pack and have everything ready. I may be a walking zombie with no sleep but I'll try to be friendly when I meet you.

OK, confession over.

And what's this thing about fish extenders??

JUST KIDDING!!!:rotfl:

You and my 12 year old DD.

"Helloooooo, there's this thing called school, and it has nothing to do with some guy named Edward who's in desperate need of a tan!"

I turned my back and somehow got old.

LOVED the series - also an addict and read them one right after the other. Try your bets to save the last one until the ship - it is TOTALLY worth it!!!!!:thumbsup2

Really looking forward to this trip, especially with this brutal cold snap. Minus 20 here today plus wind chill - very nippy!!
This weekend is my official sort out the packing, buy dress pants for DS, figure out if DH has any nice clothes, go crazy weekend....and apparently I am supposed to go to Monster Trucks with the family on Saturday (what - do they not know we are leaving for Florida on WEDNESDAY!! :confused3 ). Anywho - looking forward to meeting everyone.

BeccaGrace - if you happen to read this and get a chance, would love to know if things are working out for you to join us?

I thought about leaving the last book to read on vacation. It would be great to have it on the airplane. BUT...I'm a little hesitant b/c I don't trust myself on the ship. I could just see the whole family heading off to the Golden Mickey's and me saying, "oh just go ahead and watch the show, I'm going to read my book in the room." :scared1:  :scared1:

I, too, am looking forward to getting out of this winter wonderland...two weeks of -40 - -50 has been terrible. It warmed up to 0 today and I didn't even need a jacket! Crazy how we Alaskans get excited when it reaches 0!

Question for everyone...I can't find the link that had the information on sending a package to my stateroom. Does anyone have the info on that? I thought there were package dimensions, etc, and I need the address and what I need to put on the address (stateroom)? I wanted to save some money and try to send my FE gifts, etc, ahead so they would be waiting on my stateroom when I arrive. Thanks!

I go in for my surgery tomorrow so hopefully, everything goes just fine and I will be heading to the airport on Thursday! I can't wait to meet everyone!

I'm thinking of you today!!! I understand what you're going through! Just relax and try and get some rest. Think of the blue ocean (and a warm ocean) that will surround you next week. My thoughts are with you.:flower3:

Total Twilight addict here too, read them all this summer when I should have been packing to move to Texas. No wonder everything just got thrown in boxes at the last minute.

I am heading to the bookstore right now for a cruise book. I would like to read something light and cheerful. Trying to stay away from vampires and murderers for awhile.

Happy packing everyone! 9 more days!

so glad to hear that there are other vampire junkies out there. I am loving the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlain Harris. OMG are they good and addicting. I am finding it hard to stop to pack or even do anything. Hoping I will have at least one left to read on the cruise. Once done with this series I hope to start the Twilight series, glad to hear you are all enjoying them.
Can't wait for the days to pass. Looking forward to sun and sand and not cold and snow.
