Where are you staying Friday night? We are at the Radission in Cape C. It looks like they have a great pool. very close to the terminal. If you decide to come to Cape c on Friday, and stay at the radisson, let me know- we'll look for you.
Lots of people rent cars from orlando to cape C (one way) for about $50.
Good luck on the trip changes.

We let Disney do our air and hotel arrangements. Big mistake--we would have saved about $500 if we booked it ourselves. And we could have arranged our own flight leaving Friday and stayed at our own hotel and still come out less. Oh well, lessons learned!

So, as it is, we are changed to flying into Orlando one day prior (on Friday the 23rd). Disney only had the Hyatt at the airport available--but its a really nice hotel and convenient. We won't get there til late but at least we will be there and in plenty of time to catch that ship!

Anyone else staying at the Hyatt at the Orlando airport on Friday, Jan. 23?
:goodvibes

Yep we are - we are in the same situation.

Although I don't know if you will want to be anywhere near us, they have us in middle seats for all the flights:scared1: , with DH and one of the boys in one row, and me and the other boy in another row. I still nurse and they don't do well with bottles so I'm sure that they are going to be:furious: I was given the suggestion of bringing earplugs for those around us - so hopefully that will make us some friends.

The only plus is that we do get in early so we will have time to get them recovered.

I nursed my DD on the plane, i just used one of her blankets to kind of cover up a little. The other option is to hit the bathroom and nurse. But that is tough because it ties up a BR for a while.
Don't feel bad about nursing "in public". Those babies are entitle to eat!

Yeah I have a cover - my concern is that the boys are in different rows - so I can't really nurse them at the same time plus I will have two strangers on either side of me - could make nursing a little rough. Ahh well we will be on the cruise after so that will make it worth while.

Hey does anyone know if all the rooms have bathtubs? It didn't ocure to me to question that - having kids is so new for us. All these things that I never had to think about before.

Hi All!

My family of three boys (12, 9 & 6), husband and I will be on this cruise along with more family and extended family - 19 in all. This is our first cruise ever (a few in our group have done the DCL 3 nighter). We are getting so excited. I have enjoyed reading back through your posts and getting some good tips. lindaso, I am half way through your trip report, it is GREAT! and funny! I am glad i found DIS a few days ago ...

Good luck with your FE gifts, i will have to pass, I can't think of one more thing to add to my chaos. Starting to get stressed out since there is only 11 days left! We are coming from Texas - which just recently moved to. The rest of the family is coming from Ohio and Kentucky. It will be a nice reunion, especially for my boys who miss their grandparents and cousins a lot.

We haven't planned too much, just going to enjoy the ocean breeze, (hopefully) a warm sandy beach and all the ship has to offer. I know it will be a great time, it's Disney!

We are in rooms 2629 & 2631, looks like close to some of you DISers! :)

Come to one of our meet/greets. They aren't just for FE exchangers. There are lots of boys in our FE group about your boys' ages. They can "meet" a new friend on day one and then have someone to look for in the clubs.
Well hope to see you on the boat.

Hello Everyone - man this trip is getting close!!!!

To all the WNYers - you guys just keep getting dumped on with the snow eh?! We are apparently heading into a deep freeze over the next few days - minus 20 plus windchill - :scared1: Man I get so sick of winter around this time! Oh well, thank goodness I have something to look forward to!! I am actually moving jobs (same company, different job) so Jan 20th will be my last day and then we fly out to Orlando on the 21st so things are a little hectic to say the least!! Trying to wrap up the job stuff and get stuff organized for our trip is getting me a bit frazzled. Tonight is haircut and dye job for me so at least that will be out of the way. I just got my US dollar mastercard so I don't have to pay the yucky exchange rate this trip which is nice. Gotta get my toes painted at some point and start pulling out shorts and such to see what does and doesn't fit everyone any more. Man, so much to do, so little time! I am hoping to get most stuff done this weekend and I am PRAYING we don't have bad weather next week when we are supposed to fly out (heading over to Buffalo to fly down - MUCH cheaper!!!!!). Welcome to our new cruisers - looking forward to meeting everyone!:woohoo:

Yeah I have to get the haircut and toe nails done too - there really is so little time. Lucky for me my mom is in town watching the boys for me so I can get out and get these things done. :woohoo: Can't wait to meet everyone!

I was just thinking this morning, maybe I should go splurge on a pedicure! I'm looking forward to actually seeing my toes for a week! They've been burried in winter gear for too long already!

Yes us WNY'ers are heading into the deep freeze tomorrow! And a blizzard to top mabye! AHH!! As long as I get outta here I don't care!

Hello All!
I've spent the last couple of days reading throught the various threads and gleaning a TON of information. This place is a goldmine for info. My wife & three daughters(12, 10, & 8) are coming on our very first cruise and are with some extended family, much like the fine lass above. Since I discovered this thread a bit late in the game, We too are going to pass on the FE's (too much other stuff to worry about at this point, no offense) but we're all extremely excited for this trip. Maybe it's the fact that it's 10 below here in western Michigan right now:eek:! This trip can't come soon enough and we're looking forward to meeting & making some new friends in a little more than a week.

Cheers!

Welcome! make sure you try to make one of our meet/greets- no commitment- just friendly hellos and maybe kids hooking up for playtime.
Be thankful you discovered this forum so late- it is so addicting, many many hours wasted on here- well not wasted- but my housework has really suffered.

Hey, we live about 3 miles from the Buffalo airport and we're flying out on the 21st too.
Maybe we'll see you in the airport- we're flying in to W palm beach to visit inlaws for a few. What time's your flight? We are 1150am Jetblue- LOVE THE TV/Leather seats/and extra room.

I, too, am looking forward to getting out of this winter wonderland...two weeks of -40 - -50 has been terrible. It warmed up to 0 today and I didn't even need a jacket! Crazy how we Alaskans get excited when it reaches 0!

Question for everyone...I can't find the link that had the information on sending a package to my stateroom. Does anyone have the info on that? I thought there were package dimensions, etc, and I need the address and what I need to put on the address (stateroom)? I wanted to save some money and try to send my FE gifts, etc, ahead so they would be waiting on my stateroom when I arrive. Thanks!

I go in for my surgery tomorrow so hopefully, everything goes just fine and I will be heading to the airport on Thursday! I can't wait to meet everyone!

*** I have left BeccaGrace on the list, I know she has pulled out of the FE exchange, but with the hopes that they will make cruise, I thought if anyone has extras you could drop them off some gifts.

WOW, we are up to 15 families for the FE. I think that's pretty good for mostly 1st timers. It seems we've all settled into this DIS addiction very nicely. But the question is.... Will we be able to quit once the trip is over?... my husband thinks not!

For our delivery of FE, it kind of has to change a little-
instead of 3 families x 4 nights (sat, sun, mon, tues)
it will be 4 families x 4 nights (sat sun mon tues) with one of the nights at 3 families.
Everyone still OK with this plan?? we've got 24 hours to finalize
AND 11 MORE DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I am a little confused, do we give everyone gifts or only certain families certain nights, or do I give everyone gifts on Tuesday night? Sorry, I am kind of confused on how many gifts to have for folks. Please dumb it down for me:) Sorry!
