Nope, I just like nuts. :rotfl2: I speak  myself don'tcha know.

The martini tasting is a BLAST! I'm up for doing it again. We did that on this last cruise and it was great. Unfortunately there were four of them (I hear sometimes five) and I'm not a big drinker, so I caught a little, shall we say, buzz. The ship was rolling a little and dh found it highly amusing when I said it was getting "swishy." Didn't live that one down the entire trip.

Oh yeah! I dont drinnk much either! LOL So I am very curious about this martini tasting! haha SWISHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl2:

I am up for any drink tasting. Actually I do not think i have actually even had a martini. Just the usual mixed or frozen drinks, beer, wine......you know the norm.

:teeth:

DH want to do beer tasting if the have it. He travelled Europe extensively in his 20's and prefers the dark or stout to American beer. I just think it tastes like burnt coffee. YUCK :rotfl2:

OK Now I would love to get together for a martini tasting with yall! It works wout good too, because, if I recall correctly there is no set time. Just from 4pm to close at the bar right? I am not for certain on that one though.

(4 is quite enough for me!) I love them to death but do not want more of the little critters running around! :rotfl:

?

My sister! haha I have found you at last! :rotfl2:

We're taking it easy for a bit! Today is the start of an easy couple of weeks for us...Tomorrow starts the first of 3 days of Ball for us. U of Wyo is hosting part of the Black Coaches Assoc Tournament, and we've got 3 days of basketball to get through. We both took Mon and Tues off so we'll have a great time! Tues night we'll have the sorest butts on this list!!! :goodvibes

Then, we work Wed and Thurs, then leave Thurs night for San Diego and my nephew's high school grad trip. We'll be home late Fri, the 25th. I can't wait to see how Carnival handles Thanksgiving dinner!!!

I'm going to read up and see if I can figure out how to post a pic I woke up to this am....I've never posted a pic before, so we'll see if it works!!! How's that for suspense......

kelli,
Upload the pic to a site like www.photobucket.com first. Then copy the link to the picture into the box that pops up when you hit the picture of the mountain and sun in your "reply to thread" box at the Dis...

No pirate costumes for us. My MIL will be with me, and she has never cruised before. So I just want her to be able to take it all in, so to speak. We will be in a lowly cat 11 stateroom. Karin, are you volunteering to give us a tour of your cat 3??!!?

Well, of course, this isn't the one I was originally gonna send...but these are my babies!! Gotta get what I can, when I can!!!!

OK, so, after all day of messing with this:

This is what I woke up to this morning!!! Thanks, Alvaro!!! He said he was on a yacht this morning!!!

I feel like I've worked all day...for crying out loud...... This calls for dancing bananas.....and just in case you all don't know how to pronounce it...

Its BAHna-na.....I learned that on the cruise in May.... :rotfl2: Can you tell I'm giddy over my accomplishment......

Of course! I still can't believe that we upgraded. In my mind I have to keep justifying it (we saved $ by not doing the dophin encounter, we're selling our old car, etc.)! I'm actually excited now. And I think we did the right thing. My DH is 6'4", I'm 5'10", and we have two tall, active kids. I was starting to get nervous that we'd be on top of each other. So no more justifying! I'm going to enjoy it, and you all can come tour! :wave2:

Minus the kids and that might of been fun! ;)

I can't believe you said that! ;) Well....yes I can but anyway.........LOL :rotfl2: I would be up for a martini tasting meet. That way we can all embarrass ourselves.

Kelli,
Way to go on posting the photos. I have been trying and trying to figure out how to post a pic on my signature. I will try again now that you have accomplished it!! :Pinkbounc You learn something new everyday!
Also, DS want to know if that is a new pic of cute little doggies and snow or is the snow is from another time. :confused3

I am a grinch. I HATE SNOW. Weird huh...live in the midwest but hates snow! Well I love being around family and most is around here so here we will stay. ::yes::

You know, when I wrote that sentence last night (in the midst of an incredibly horrible allergy attack, mind you), I thought twice about how I had worded it!! But alas, I wasn't thinking clearly enough to come up with another wording!! And yes, you're right...without the kids it would've worked just great!

Kelli--that really is quite an accomplishment! I spent a good deal of time trying to post mine, and it hasn't worked...or has it? Very cute, cute "kids," and for Alvaro--life is really rough, isn't it?!

BTW, if I can help you out in any way for your trip to San Diego, let me know. I can pm my phone number, just in case too.

It was a pic from last year....in fact, last year next week! It was Crystal's first big snow since she was just a couple months old, so she was loving it! We still haven't seen more than an inch so far this year....my hanging plants have died, but the planters on the deck are still blooming!

I was just so thrilled with how the pic came out, that I've kept it on my desktop! Well, we're off to the first day of Bball....talk to you all late tonight or in the morning.....

Julie, I hope those tornados weren't too close to you, I forget exactly where Ames is.....

Keep up the martini talk....I might be up for a taste or two....guessing they'll have an apple one and hopefully more sweet ones......

Hope you're feeling better, Karin!!! I'd say your allergies would be better if you didn't live in such an awful place......... :rotfl2: but my allergies are still acting up here too.....

They take after me............. :rotfl2:

Wanna do Legoland on Sunday? But yes, send me your number, and I'll at least call and say Hi!!!

Yes, I'm sure Alvaro was "tired" of hearing me tell him what an awesome job he had.....all day! :confused3

I think I'll skip the martini tasting--I just can't do hard alcohol anymore (unless it's in a margarita). I'd love a little wine tasting, however!

Julie, I don't blame you about the snow. Obviously, it doesn't snow here, but last Christmas we were snowed in with no power in the local mountains--the first 3 hours were a total blast, but the next two days were not much fun. My DH had to be rescued because it was snowing so hard and his car was quickly buried. It was quite a relief to get back to lower ground. But of course, now we only remember how "fun" it was! (Kinda like our memories about childbirth.)

Kelli,
It was really windy here but no tornados. Ames is about 90 min. from here. I was at a baby shower and new it was windy and rainy but was shocked when we got home at DD (17) told me about the tornados. Unbelievable for this time of year. It has been sooooo warm. Even in the 60's-70's last week....... Now snow is forecast Tuesday but it will not stick since the ground is still so warm.

Karin,
Hope your allergies are better today!

Amanda,
I'm shocked your so quiet. Just kidding :rotfl: What's up.
