DD and DS pirate costumes came today. I had ordered them from Shindugz.com. They were really cheap so I didn't expect much. They are great!! I am very impressed. They are both a bit big on them, but very cute!


We are heading out to see santa. Our town has a big deal at the legion hall where he meets with the kids and they get big bags of peanuts, candy, fruit, and gum. I remember going when I was small!

We're on this cruise also! I checked in way back at the beginning of the thread, but then got sidetracked and forgot all about this thread!

My question is: Has anyone had their room assigned yet from GYT? I'm patiently waiting, OK, OK... not so patiently... We're almost 4 weeks away and no room assignment yet!! Arrggghhhh....

Anybody else in the same boat? LOL Waiting for an assignment?

We booked with an actual room not a guarantee catagory. We haven't gotten our documents either. We are patiently waiting. We did get our magical express luggage tags for our precruise stay at the pop though.

Hey! I remember that you did post way back when! At that time I was too busy, and I couldn't keep up with all the posts and people going on this cruise. Welcome back!

We also have our room assignment, so I can't help you on when to expect that. But, it would be fun to get our docs soon. Way back when we booked, we were thinking about an early Jan cruise. I am so happy now that we decided to wait a couple of weeks because it's several extra weeks of preparing after the holidays. Whew.

Not this cruise, but for my cruise in Sept we booked GTY and did not get our room assg til probably cloe to 3 weeks out, bummer. But the good news was, we were upgraded to a cat 9. We booked a cat 12. So hopefully that means an upgrade for you, have you been checking DCLs website? that is how I found out last time.

I talked to DCL yesterday and she said 3 days... so that would be Friday! Let's see if she was right...

The wait is driving me crazy! This is the last time that I book gyt, I think! I can't take the pressure!!!!

One month from today, we'll be at Disney!

I have NO idea how I missed this thread, as I booked my trip in May! Anyway, I just got through all 46 pages and feel like I total intruder , especially since I wasn't on the repo cruise! So here we are:
Gayle (me-32) & best friend (Kara-31)
*Land/sea package 1/19-1/26
*Celebrating the completion of Kara's Ph.D.
*This will be my 17th trip to WDW (& 3rd in 3 months!)
*Late dinner seating
*Not leaving ship in Nassau
*Category 9 room
*Since we are newbie DCL, we didn't get the Palo brunch
*1st Disney cruise for both of us (Have only been on one other cruise - Carnival - 10 years ago, which was a complete nightmare)
*pre-cruise at POR

The good news is we aren't bringing husbands or kids ; the bad news is we don't have husbands or kids !

We've done a TON of research in order to know what's going on where. However, it feels weird entering into the new experience, especially after feeling like a total pro at WDW.

BIG Q: I didn't schedule Magical Express separately, as I presumed this would be part of the package; we bought transfers. I haven't received my luggage tags yet (I'll check again tonight in my frozen shrubs). This is the first time EVER I have used a TA, who I am VERY happy with. Should I be concerned? Call TA? Call DCL? Advice please!

The ONLY reason we did the package was to add the No Expire to the tix. Hello?! For only $55 extra $ I will bring home a 5 day PH!

This will be our first cruise with Disney. We cruised with Carnival about 3 years ago and it wasn't bad at all.
We are in late dinner seating also. And could not book anything at Palo either
30 more days to go...

I was able to get Palo for 10am on Wednesday, 1/25. I did it 90 days out at 6:30am.

We also are doing the Banana Boat (my son and I) and my MIL is getting the Manicure and Facial for Christmas from us!

I'm afraid to look online today, so I'll wait until tomorrow afternoon to see if our room assignment is there, lol. I can't keep being let down, lol...

It's almost time to start practicing the dances on the ship! "Slide to the left, slide to the right, criss cross, criss cross!!!! Everybody Clap Your Hands Now....."

I haven't been around for awhile. Just busy doing the normal holiday hustle & bustle. I thought I'd checkin & see how everyone's doing so I just got through catching up on all the posts.

I also wanted to go to the DCL site and play around by pulling up my reservations and I can't do it. It keeps telling me "We're having a problem with our reservation system that will prevent you from booking your vacation package or retrieving your reservation right now. We're sorry for any inconvenience. Please call your travel agent or call (800) 951-3532 weekdays 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. ET or weekends 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. ET and our agents will gladly assist you with all your Disney Cruise Line vacation planning needs". It seems to me that I have never been able to pull up my reservation. I can remember trying to when I got it paid in full. How frustrating. Is there anything on the site that I'm missing out on? Should I call the 800 number and ask them why?

I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday! Don't eat too much, save room for the cruise.

I just tried it at 1020p MT on Thurs...it worked fine.

Have you ever been able to log in? Just curious, because I had a heck of a time the first time. I have to use my confirm #, Keith's Bday, my email addy, and a password I use at work. It's quite a combination.....good luck!!!

Hi guys....... Now it's me that's not getting the emails when everyone posts. We have been busy with the holiday preparations and packing for our trip to N.Y. too. It sounds like the weather won't be too bad for driving.
I just tried and I got our reservation to come up on the website. I know you need to log in with your email, reservation number and birthdate. It aslo stated if you are having trouble logging in to try another birthdate of someone else in your party. Otherwide I don't know,

We didn't book any palo, but have made ressies for kids club and the spa online.

Less than a month now!
