num1tigerfan said:I think we are trying that and the wine tasting too. I don't know if we'll like it, but were up to try anything! We are used to the norm or beer, wine, & margaritas. Sounds a bit boring so i guess we should broaden the horizon a bit. Especially when the kiddies will be busy at the club!
Alvaro said he'd be at any tating they had! LOL![]()

Maybe we should start looking at previous 4-day navigators to find out when all these tastings might be offered....so we can make sure that we fit them all in!num1tigerfan said:I knew if you heard the word "tasting" you'd message!![]()
hope everyone is surviving the preholiday stress!!![]()
I would love to have the front yard covered in snow for the kids, but keep it off the streets!num1tigerfan said:if you are sad about skipping the snow, you can come here. There is not a line for ours!![]()
Today all of the schools are closed again. We had ice and are in the process of 3-6 more additional inches of snow. The college that DH works at is closed too so he is home too. Maybe we will make Christmas cookies today.![]()
I will frequent any place that is (or now used to be) managed by Mondavi! (I went to UC Davis, where he is a major benefactor.) This will be a must when I have babysitters around (my parents).M4travels said:Karin, you'll have a great time, I'm sure. I, too, really like Taste Pilots. Please, please, PLEASE find the time some weekend to do The Vineyard Room. I think most people are put off by this restaurant as it is pricey (probably the only other restaurant at the part that's pricier is Club 33 but if you go there your entrance to the park is covered), however, we have had the most phenomenal service here. When it first opened and was managed by Mondavi it was very good and I was concerned when Disney took it over, but they have done nothing wrong, IMO. Mark, our ONLY waiter, Javier from the service bar, Teri, who was front of house, and Chad, the executive chef, have made us feel like family there. We have actually run into them at GC and have had drinks after park has closed.
I'd love to hear about CCI. Have you stayed here before? GC does get expensive so those trips are few and far between. We've stayed at The Anabella a few times and have had very restful nights.

Actually, I would probably only do the martini tasting for the social aspects. Wine tasting would be much more up my alley.
No! I'm still here procrastinating!num1tigerfan said:Did you get your paper written?
Tahoe said:No! I'm still here procrastinating! In fact, I'm going to go look at recent navigators on another site right now, but I don't think they'll let me post the url. I have to get this letter written--it's 1/2 done, and once Connor gets in bed, I'll be able to finish it. Then I can look at it again tomorrow night and hand it over on Friday--whew. It's still hanging over me....
I'll look for the navigators right now.
Tahoe said:I just looked at Barb's (inkognito on this board) website and found navigators from an 11/05 4-day cruise. Don't want to get in trouble for posting the url!!
Martini tasting seems to be everyday for extended periods of time and so could possibly be on a drop-in basis without reservations. It's $15 per person.
Wine tasting for this particular cruise was from 3-4pm on the last (sea) day. It's $12 pp and requires reservations, which I think can be made at least the day before.
Beer tasting was at 2pm on the sea day. It's $10 pp and offers beers "from around the world." Don't know about reservations.
Then on the last day there is a 2 for 1 Martini Hour from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Bottoms up!![]()
(Now it's officially time to finish the recommendation letter!)
