An upgrade at the port would be wonderful!! My DH said today "aren't you soon going to get the suitcases out to start getting packed"? I know it's close now. SuperWalmart had Disney craft items on clearance today. Perfect for keeping the kids busy while waiting for supper and in between courses. The 5 year old won't be the problem, it's the 1 yr old I'm worried about. I think I will be ordering and telling the to pack it up and I'll take it to my room. She just can't sit still very long.

OK, folks!!! I'm finally caught up!! I had to leave work early Wednes and go to the Doc...I was in and out in 10 minutes...looked at my throat, nose and ears and said, "Yep! You need an anitbiotic!" Good, coz I know I felt like crap.... 3 day version of antibio and after the first dose I slept an extra 2 1/2 hours over the first part of the week! Last day to work this YEAR!!!! Yeah!!

We're half packed for NYC, mostly just a shoes issue..my sil is planning on taking half her shoes...I told her fine, but they're not all coming back!!! My niece has had to work 11 hours yesterday and today and we leave at 8am.....she'll sleep all the way there, I'm sure...poor kid!

We're on deck 6 also....6084. Funny, our first cruise was 6086, so I hope I can keep that straight!!! I'd hate to be trying the wrong door!!

I've seen the inside of 6503 passing in the hall.....we were in 6500 in Sept '03....I was wishing I had an inside cabin for the darkness.....

Keith decided we'd just rent a car from the airport....if we're gonna be doing US or Sea World, we'll want a car. Our flight arrives at 410p. Yes, we're staying at Pop both sides of the cruise. We leave Florida on the 29th.

Anything else I've missed?!?

OH MY GOSH - how do I type SQUEALING on here?!

I saw everyone elses' posts about their room assignments. Well, we had booked a room - 2574. I saw all of you saying you were on deck 6, etc. So I just HAD to go check ours... we got upgraded to 6152!!!! We moved up 4 decks and 3 categories!!!!!!!!!!

Although I see we are at the very back - what I call the "Butt of the Boat"! It will be a hike to the room from the elevator, but Who cares?! We now have a verandah!

So much for getting any work done today!

Oh, Gayle!!! You don't know the half of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you're squealing now, you'll be AMAZED when you get in your room!!!! How many people in your party?!?!?!? You're next to the cabin we had on the PC cruise...the B.A. V!!!!!!! (bowling alley verandah!!)

It's a handicap room, but LOTS of room and a LARGER verandah than I'm paying for!!!! You'll have to look over the wall and see "my" bowling alley!!!!

There are only 2 of us in our party - me and my best friend.

Any insights or tips are appreciated! You've been there! I hear we get water dripping down from the decks above when they wash them down. We'll make sure to remember to close the verandah door!

You left me out, but it isn't your fault! I didn't/haven't posted ours yet. We're in 8086. I think that Karen (zakatak) has hers too, but I'll have to look back through the pages to find it. Maybe she'll repost.

Congrats on the upgrade! Many of us are aft! Look at a diagram of deck six and you'll see the bowling alley verandah of Kelli's room next to yours!

That is so wild. What is going on with deck 6? They are in for it putting us all near each other!!!!!!!

I saw we were next to the handicap room, but Bowling Alley Verandah??? What does THAT mean?

With only 2 people, you'll be very happy! And the door to the verandah has a small step, so water won't get in anyway. We were next door for 2 weeks cool1: ) and the ONLY problem we had was a little accumulation on the verandah, but the stateroom attendant squeegee'd it to the drain each day. We wouldn't even have noticed unless we were in the room at the right time.

Bowling alley verandah....started out as big a$$ verandah~~then B.A.V.~~then after MANY jokes about how we could bowl on that deck, it was soooooo long, we named it the bowling alley verandah, and joked about stealing (acquiring) olives and having a bowling contest.....

The only problem we had was that on the very back wall was a LARGE air intake, and we could hear that in the night. I'm SURE that sound will be muffled by 6154, and you won't have any trouble....

I thought 6152 was a handicap room, too, but after reading your post, I looked and remember that the time we had a HA room was on deck 7...2 HA rooms in back there..only 1 on deck 6....(see deck plans on DCL site) so your room is a basic room, but the deck will be bigger.

Did I mention how excited I'm getting. One of the guys mentioned tonight that I must be parttime anymore, for all the vacation time I've got coming up. I looked at the January schedule and its great~~I'm on vacation now til 1-9, work 2 days, off a day, work 3 days, off a day, work 3 days, on vacation again!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!

My MIL cancelled out which will make for a more romantic trip for my dh and I, except we're in separate rooms with the kids now! I've called and called and there is no connecting rooms available at all. So, we sleep in separate rooms... I guess Boys & Girls.

I'm so totally jealous of everyone else's upgrades. I booked this way back in May, figuring we'd be sure to bump up to 10s. Oh well... at least the November 2006 Magic is booked with actual staterooms, cat 9. Whew...

Anyone else dressing up for Pirate Night?
