Hello all!

Just returned from a weekender, and boy were we SHOCKED!!! The entire resort was empty!

Arrived Friday afternoon---walk-ons for almost everything. Even at that time, ToT FP was under 45 minutes away, Indy was 1 hour! Enjoyed a leisurely evening riding anything we wanted! Walked on Matterhorn and Alice just after the fireworks.

Saturday---expected the usual huge crowds. Nowhere near what we expected. We should have known it was going to be slow when we called on Thursday for BB ressies, and had our choice of times!! Obviously busier than Friday, but still nowhere near "normal". At around noon, Soarin' only had a 15 minute wait!

Sunday was the busiest of the days, if you can believe it! Monsters, Inc was closed all day Sunday (MV 3D was, too) for the press junket, so I'm glad we rode like crazy Fri and Sat.

So let's all make a note for 2007---weekend after MLK is a winner!!!

Great news, we leave this friday and hopefully it will be slow as well......

That is awesome! I LOVE it when Disney isn't crowded! We were there the week OF MLK (Monday through Thursday) and the only reason we got Fastpasses were for the scrapbook!! We walked on to almost everything as well! It was WONDERFUL!

The weekend before was fairly uncrowded too (I put day 1 of my trip report on the trip reports board a couple of nights ago) although I tend to think that some of it may have been the result of rain on Saturday. Most stuff had short waits, but the weather did also result in cancellation of the parade on Saturday afternoon and the fireworks on both Saturday and Sunday nights (Did get to see Fantasmic on Sunday though.) The only ride we even bothered using fastpasses on was Space Mountain.

That is good to know! We went in the middle of September after Labor day as well, and never had to use fastpasses either. I always had my suspicions that certain weeks in September and Januuary were the best months! :goodvibes

I still remember going to Space Mountain and almost walking on (about a 5 minute wait at that final "launching room"), looking at my watch in disbelief and seeing that it said 1:15 pm. Aren't slow times the best??? :woohoo:
