I'm in Indiana so this is odd for us! I actually enjoy thunderstorms so I am a bit bummed we haven't had any major storms at all yet! We always get some good June/July ones so I can hold out hope. ;)

Come vist me in PA. :D we have had so darn many, and pretty bad at that. :( As a matter of fact we just had one last night and when the thundar cracked I must have jumped 3 feet  of course I had all my windows open during the storm.

Come next door... we've already had a few. One even knocked a tree down and blocked a four lane major road for an afternoon.

Of course after last summer with the hurricane like conditions we had and loss of power on a regular basis (3 days total once, and I live in a city that is considered a suburb of Columbus) I think i'd rather skip the storms this year.

I agree with you. I live in Indianapolis as well and we have had nothing. I love storms they are so soothing also I have been here since sept and we have had nothing. We had the flood but was just rain.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i HATE storms.......especially when they tend to spawn tornadoes

:scared:

I have been waiting for our first bad one. We always have bad storms in May. Maybe the storms will hold off until I am out of town next week.

We haven't had any bad storms yet either - not alot of rain for that matter.

I am from Indiana, so I know how stormy it can get. My parents were just telling me that they got rain on Friday, but nothing major.

While I love rain and thunderstorms, I share Scarlett873's fear of one of those storms spawning a tornado.

We had one around our work place last year (we were shuffled to the lowest part of the building) and I think my co-workers thought they were going to have to get me a bag before I hyperventilated. It was scary, and that is the closest I have been - or ever want to be - to a tornado!!!!

However - that may not be the truth. I believe it was 2 years ago that a tornado hit Fort Wayne (where I am from) about 1/2 mile from my inlaws - we were on our way home from visiting DH's grandparents (near Tipton) and saw the sky and we just knew there was a tornado. Luckily, it didn't hit their house - just the Best Buy and Kohl's near their house! It was still scary - so, storms are fine, but NO tornadoes!!!! Poor Nebraska was hit, was it yesterday, and Kansas, Texas, PA.....hope that isn't a forecast for how bad the storms will be this summer!!!

that was actually back in 2001 i believe!! i was living in ft wayne then...worked for a travel agency right across the street from that shopping center! i wasn't working that day...it was memorial day of that year i believe. i was with my now ex-husband at his parent's place in michigan...we lived not too far from that shopping center...it was amazing to see the way the grass and all of the plants and stuff in the yard looked after all that!! it was all laying down on the ground. eerie...

We've had several, including a nice one this afternoon.
