Is anyone out there running/walking in the Disneyland 1/2 marathon in september? Would love to hear from others who are doing this inaugural event!
I'm doing Vineman but I thought about doing IMAZ as my first. I'm bringing my family to Vineman but I hear it's not much of a spectator course. I'm so psyched for this race but also sooooo nervous! I'm not shooting for a specific time...I just want to finish. If you ever make your way to LA, my first Oly was the LA Triathlon a couple of years ago. That was a great race for both participant and spectator. Tons of people line the course to cheer you on. It's a really great atmosphere.myleanne said:Lap3
Noticed in your countdown you're doing your first ironman...which one are you doing? My husband started doing sprint tri's, and olympic tri's about a year ago. He's hoping to do the Ironman here in Arizona next April.

Cool! I live on the west side...near the corner of Madera and LA Avenue.Disney Hot Mama said:Hi lap3
I live in Simi too. - on the East side.
How old are your kids? I was thinking of doing this but never registered. My kids are 8 & 10 so I think they could do the 5K Do you plan to 'train' or just go for it?
I must say, you must be a real athlete. I have been busting my buns to get to a 15 min pace for the Minnie next weekend!!just FYI, there is a 15 minute/mile pace required to finish the 5k, I think many/most people can do this with little training.
