It is going to be awful lonely having that whole ship to ourselves. Anybody else going on 1/10/04 the Eastern trek of the Magic?

Hi STeveandTonya. I am so glad to finally see someone else going on the 1/10/04 Eastern Cruise. I read the boards often and this is the first mention I have seen for this date. I am thinking that maybe the ship will not be so busy. Is this usually a slow time to cruise. My family and I are very excited.

Finally someone else on the ship. Where in New York are you from? We have two kids, a dtr. 8 and a son 7,(ages when it sails. We can't wait.

We live in Yorktown Heights. This is about 35 minutes from Manhattan. We also have two children. We have two little boys. They will be 2 and 4 when we cruise. Is this your first Disney Cruise? It is for us and we are so excited. We are deciding now if we will fly in the night before. I am a little nervous about the weather in New York in January and I don't want to miss the ship. What are your plans? I just told my husband that we will not be alone on January 10, 2004. Do you plan to let your children try out the clubs?

We will be driving down from Oklahoma a few days early. My sister in law and her family live in Orlando, so we will be staying with her. She has a son who will be 4 in October. We are trying to talk them into going on the cruise. Yes, this is our first Disney cruise or any cruise. We are definitely trying out the kids clubs.

HOORAY PEOPLE ON JAN 10!!! I am glad to see others going on this week!!! I am so looking forward to it and it is going to be a Christmas surprise for my 8yr old and for my husband!! I am glad to meet you and I want to say that these boards are great and they were so helpful last year before our first cruise!!!

Last year we went Jan 4 and the weather was a bit chilly at times and we had rough seas but it was still FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Hi Ruley3. I am glad to hear from someone else for the Jan. 10 cruise. You are going to surprise your family that is great. How are you going to tell them? I am sure it will be a happy day in your house when they find out. If you don't mind I just have a few questions for you since you went at this time last year. I am curious about the weather at this time of year. Did you get any days that you could swim? What was the temperature around? I also wanted to ask you if the ship was full when you sailed last year. I know it tends to be a slow time of year. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the 1/10/04 cruise, ruley3. Where in N.C. are you? My wife and I lived in northeastern N.C. for several years before moving out to tornado alley. Glad to know that there will be at least a dozen or so people on board with us.

Hello there I posted on the other thread also before reading this one! ......About the weather My son did most of the swimming onboard! We liked the hot tubs! However we did Snorkel in Cozumel and Castaway Cay ...plenty of people were sunbathing and attempting the water!! It was chilly at times especially when the wind blew!!! I am very cold natured though so it could have been me Anyway the ship was full (probably not at capacity like New Years cruise but still FULL!) It was such an AMAZING cruise!! I have not decided how I am going to surprise my hubby yet but I know it will be much earlier than my son since he has to take off vacation time!!! Does anyone know how to get the countdown? Oh and who did everyone book there cruise thru?
