Poor Beckham - the thrill of scoring made him puke !!! unless its morning sickness.. Posh does want a daughter .... ;) :teeth:

It was goal of the tournament for me so far!!It was brilliant!!Finally he showed his worth.

Now,we've got to go through it all again.

Was he really sick? I was on the ward working dashing from telly to telly, missed the goal but saw the replay and insisted on standing still for two minutes to watch the end of the match. I'll miss next Saturday's as well, its very inconsiderate to kick off just as my shift starts :confused3

Yes, he was very very sick - apparently he was feeling unwell before the game.

Must have been eating Cabury's chocolate. Poor chap its a wonder he managed to run around for that long, I'd have been flat out.

You obviously didn't see Rodriguez' winning goal for Argentina against Mexico then? :confused3 Beckham is well past his prime and can only dream of scoring goals of that quality these days!

Oh Nighttrain. I am am a huge David Beckham fan. You can call me sad if you like people at work do :rotfl: I think he is fab. Not only for his football skills :lmao: I have to say though that he has gone through so many up and downs in his career. I think since he has been at Real Madrid thier sort of play is totally different to English football. You cant place all your bettings on two guys i.e Beckham and Rooney. It takes all other players to help out. I think there are so many players off form at the moment. It does happen time to time in thier career. I think David Beckham is an ace player and people tend to forget about all the essential critical goals he has delivered to get us to quater finals or even into the Euro Cup 2004. Sorry if I am sounding off, but I personally dont think he deserves those type of comments from media etc.. As for him being sick I can only think of it being down to heat stroke or Victorias cooking :rotfl2:

Lizzy, I totally understand where your coming from. I am a nurse and I missed the opening game and the Sweden game. I was so pleased to see yesterdays game and I am also off for the England V Portugal.

Did anyone see that game last night Portugal V Holland. It was an entertaining match. All I can say is Yay Deco is out. Hopefully this will help us out on Saturday.

Well, another game where we play poorly but still win, guess its better than playing well and losing! I do feel sorry for Lampard though, apparently he's had more shots on goal than any other player so far and still not one going in? Heard today they're going back to a four four two for the next match so, hopefully that'll be a play well, win situation.

Becks was dehydrated and more than likely that added to the heat was what made him sick....poor guy...and I think Robinson was very considerate when he slightly stretched his knee but made it worse to let the guys get some water and regroup...nice thinking robbo!
