09/28/2002 Cruise

Patty ..... Please have a SAFE trip. Enjoy your Disney Fix but I must say I am realllllllllllllly jealous!

Mike & Kathy ... How is Stacey doing?

RE Survivor ... getting worried about Pascal, he is looking awfully thin. I really like him, he's kind of like Roger. I know Tulirose would have a word or two to say about that.

RE CSI - Could they put any more twists into that guy with the car accident/suicide!

Re my "Craft Room" ... well about 1 more trip to GoodWill and I may have it all empties out. You know how you save patterns, etc to do later, etc. Well I'm going to try and really houseclean out the old stuff. Kathy ... glad to hear that a lot of us have the same problem with that.

Check back later....

Hello all past 9/22ers!

Sorry to be posting to this thread, since we can't join in the fun, but I have a question!

We were planning on joining ya all (for Mike and Kathy!) for the September 2004 cruise, since Tulirose and Viking will be there too, however the Magic will be in dry dock so what are the plans now? Does anyone know?

Please let me know.

Dan

P.S. Mike and Kathy, do you have a new email address? I have written you 2 long letters, but they keep getting sent back to me. I haven't forgotten about you 2, think of you often when we see the towels. Please email me a correct address!

Dan and Scott, I also am planning to go inSept 2003. I was sort of waiting for Eric and Anja to pick the dates since they are doing the back to back cruise thing. I also was going to see how the Eastern and Western compare. So nice to hear you will be joining 2003 trip, wish you were on this Sept one!

PS I think the Oct cruise (after dry dock) might be the way to go??

Mike and Kathy...what do you think?

RE CSI: I'm not sure where the incident took place, but I did read about it in the Philadelphia Inquirer. A woman actually did hit a pedestrian and left him on the car in the garage for several days. Yuck. I would not have believed the CSI story except for the fact that it really happened to some poor guy. The twist about the suicide was a bit much. I guess the writers wanted to add their own personal touch.

I love discussing my favorite TV shows. Besides Survivor, which others are your must-sees? I'm a big fan of West Wing, Alias, The Agency, and a few more (I'm embarrassed to admit I watch a lot of TV--hey, I do read, too!)

Dan and Scott you are always welcome to join in the discussion at any time whether you are going or not. By the way it is yall;)

I think that Eric and Anja are planning on going in October of 2003. October the 10th is his birthday and he will be hitting the big 40:D I think Anja's birthday is the 14th of October. Hoping that we all can book the october cruise together again in 2003.

Stacey is doing well. Her obgyn doctor has scheduled her csection for the 21st of May.

The cruisetoberfest II is shaping up to be in October of 2003. Dan and Scott I will PM you guys with email address. Mike

Good morning all. Talked to Dan and Scott last night and they are doing fine. Talked to Rich DH of Tulirose and they are doing great also.

Have to be short as breakfast dishes are waiting in the sink:rolleyes: A guys work is never done.

Is anyone thinking about going to the mel fisher museum in key west and look at the atocha treasures? Mike

Was cooking dinner and missed the sailing of the magic again:mad:

Busy Weekend...
Hi Everyone, one week closer to The Cruise! Got lots done this weekend. Washed my mini-van, finished the laundry, and matched up ALL the socks in the odd sock bag!!!! Plus worked Sat. night. Just finished making breakfast for my team at work. I do this the first Monday of every month. This time it's an Apricot-Chocolate Tea Ring with Cappuccino Cafe Mocha to drink. I just have to warm it up in the morning and drizzle it with the sugar glaze. Never made this before, but it looks real yummy!
I'm thinking about quitting my second job. I love the job, but hate missing every other weekend with my family. Summer is here and we do a lot of boating, fishing, ect.
Had my gum surgery 2 weeks ago, they had a cancellation and called me. Everything went fine. Glad it's over. I go back this week for a "healing check". Twin sis and her family will be here for Memorial Day Weekend. Can't wait.:bounce: :bounce:
Anyone know what is the latest on the T-shirts? Is it still an iron-on tranfer?
Well, Good Night from Florida!! Ave

Ave I haven't had any luck digitizing the logo's yet. Still trying, but it looks like iron on transfers. Mike

Sorry everyone, we gotta get a digitizing class or two more under our belts. :o The lady who was teaching it didn't know anymore than we did. Mike was way ahead of her in the computer area but we must have missed a few things. Maybe Power Alaska's wife will have more luck digitizing the logo, otherwise it is iron on.

Stacey came down yesterday to visit on the couch because she was so bored at home. Mike drove to get her and we drove her home last night after Eric got home from class. Has a doctor's appointment today. I was asleep for the most part due to working the past two nights. But had a nice visit when I "woke" up. (Never did get fully awake) I hate that.

Erik, tell Anja hello from us. Did you get your car? I've told everyone at work about the car. Showed some of the doctors the picture of it. One of them gets on the computer to look at hot cars while he is waiting for something or other to happen in the nursery. :D (Like a delivery that we have to go on) They are impressed with your choice. :D

Good to hear from Dan and Scott. Hope to see you on another cruise with us. Poor old us can't get away from Tennessee very often.

Take care everyone. Have a great Memorial weekend Mary and Ave. Kathy

Watch for a post from "the scorcer1" another new cruiser to our group!
Ave..counting the days till we are in PCB. Please hug the kids for me! See you soon.
Kathy, glad DD is doing well!Tell her hang in there!
Hi to Eric and Anja! Glad your trip was fun. We would love a "trip report"!
I just finished the book "Left Behind". Pretty interesting. Anyone read it?I guess I'll have to go get the next book in the series now!

I found a dress on e-Bay for the cruise. The auction is over tonight so I have my fingers crossed!

Stacey had to spend the night in the hospital last night due to high blood pressure. She and Katie are fine and are home this morning. Two weeks from today is when she is going to deliver.

We are looking forward to this cruise and reuniting with old friends and new ones. Karen are you able to keep up with Annabelle? Young ones are so full of energy:)

I guess that Patty is enjoying her trip to disneyland.

Ave glad that you are feeling better after you surgery. I think that there is a chocolate souffle in Palo's with you name on it:D

Mike

HOWDY!!!!!!! We are back!!!!!!! (Boo ho!!!)

The trip was so awesome!!!!!!!

We spent the first weekend in Atlanta, Golfed, got manicure and pedicure, ate GREAT mexican food.

Then headed to WDW! Stayed at AKL! We had an even better room than last time! Animals like crazy right outside our room! We did each park two times, and MK three times. We went to the pool (which at the AKL is PHENOM!!!) every single day and sometimes at night too! Annabelle went crazy for the Mickey wake up call every morning. We saw lots of characters. We ate at Chef Mickey's one night, Ohanas one night, CIndy's in the morning, and then Primetime the last night. We had such a blast!

This was our first trip where Annabelle had an autograph book and wanted all the characters to sign it. We got the best video and pictures. And our first experience with my need to kick Aladdin's butt! (he was rude)

Annabelle pin traded for the first time. We got a free lanyard and pin for paying with American Express and so she had one to trade. We saw a lady with a "Doug Live" pin, and I was like, "Annabelle, look its Doug, do you want to trade? You can pick any pin you want." And instead of Doug, she picks some ugly Lion pin with no words on it. I was like, "No, don't you want this one?" But she insisted. So, she got to keep the lion. Ugh. :)

Annabelle had such a good time. She waited in lines so patiently. She never fussed or whined. Seriously. She is such a good park kid. (must be all that good training!)

It was a really relaxing trip for us, so we only shot 3 hours of video and 8 rolls of film. :)

The only downer was the heat. (We used to live in So. Florida, so we remember the incredible heat, but heat like this is unusual for April/May) It was 90's all week, and 104 (heat index) on Sat.

We got to see SIL and new baby! She is beautiful!

Favorte part: Seeing Annabelle really get excited about doing stuff and knowing what she wanted to do. Ex: See Jessie, go on Pooh ride, etc.

Ride home was stressful. While driving through Atlanta, we were in heavy traffic when just ahead of us was a five car accident involving a guy on a motorcycle. It seriously looked like Nascar does on tv with smoke and cars spinning. We were the last car ro stop as the guy from the motorcycle slid across three lanes of traffic and stopped right in front of us. Joe had already taken evasive action to slow down and pull to the shoulder to avoid hitting someone in front of us and to avoid getting hit from behind when we saw the guy slide across in front of us. So I got out to help him while Joe stayed with annabelle and called 911. It was very stressful. We left when the police arrived, as we didn't actually see the accident. We made good time home, but just were extra cautious.

We arrived home last night, unpacked, got up this morning, hid all the dirty clothes in the washing machine, had the realtors come through, and went to pick up Kona. And now we are all about to settle down for a nice long nap!

Glad to hear Katie didn't come while I was gone!

Glad to hear all surgeries went well.

Can't wait to hear from Patty and Lynette and get their trip reports!

Everyone have a great day!

Hi all, Thought I`d drop by. Sounds like you all are having a good time, just like last year. Uor cruises are getting closer.
I got the last piece in place today. Finally, Southwest is booking through part of October. And they extended the Friends Fly Free. That was good to hear. I had some credit from earlier in the year, so we are going for only 148 extra for the two of us. Without that it would still only be 264 for the both of us round trip. That takes care of the Raddison and car rentals with some for dinner.Just thought you would like to know in case anyone was interested.

We are doing fine. Going to see our daughter and son in law this week-end. Mom`s day and anniversary(30yrs).

Take it easy. I`m off to make potato salad.

John. "any day on land is just another day"

GoofyDisney: Glad to here you had such a good time on your trip. We've been to AK twice, the first time was in April of 98, before they officaly opened. Have never been to the AKL but plan to do it in the future.
Papa: With all the money I have spent on my teeth lately, there better be a choc. souflee with my name on it. Also a prime rib or two. I have been perusing the menu options and have had to place a drop cloth on my keyboard.
My team did not win the team of the quater:( and we missed it by a very small margin. I was Very bummed all day. Guess we just have to try harder next month.
Beach Boys will be in PC for Memorial Day Weekend!(The real ones) Outdoor Concert. Help Me Rhonda!!
Bye for now. Ave

Welcome back Karen and crew. Glad that you had a great time. Ave are you going to take Mary with you to see the beach boys? Careful girl if you listen to the beach boys you will be dating yourself(age). Kathy and I have seen the Righteous Brothers several times when they were in town.(Oh my Love, my darling I hunger for your kiss) Oops there I go telling my age:D

Hope every has a wonderful evening and we will catch you on the boards in the am. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise:bounce: Mike

Hi Folks,

what's up? I found you on page 2;)
No Mike, the car hasn't arrived yet. They had delivery problems with the GPS-supplier. We'll have to wait til first week of June. If it hasn't arrived then, you better watch CNN for the following headline: "Carsalesman strangled by impatient customer" :D
The problem with my adressbook, which is still on the old computer, should be solved until sunday. Then I will send some pics from Disneyland Paris and the brandnew Walt Disney Studios themepark. If anyone of the Non-Cruisetoberfesters also wants some pics, just mail me: Viking
Tomorrow we have a holiday over here and a great weather forecast:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hi Eric. Give Anja a big hug from us. On onboard navigation system. My aren't you the fancy guy. Don't have a builtin system, but I do have a handheld gps and a laptop that I use. I can also download maps into my handheld gps and it has automatic routing with turn by turn maps and directions. If you have a handheld gps also Eric go to http://www.geocaching.com and look for hidden caches in your area.

Getting closer gang, 142 days left till we cruise:bounce:
