09/28/2002 Cruise

Hi guys,

Twinave - Sounds great, the more "eyes" the merrier! My kids are counting the days.

Beth E - I have a 6 year old daughter who would love to play with 2 girls close to her age.

Lauren

Sounds like we are going to have a fun bunch! Is most everyone going to have a light blue t-shirt or are there going to be other colors?

I am not too crazy about T-shirts, my kids and hubby will get T's but I was thinking about a swimsuit coverup for me. (That is all I intend to be in for most of the cruise!!!!)

I was also thinking of using two of the "things" (I don't wan't to let the cat out of the bag) for Pillowcases and dropping them off at guest services for autographs for the kids!

Thanks again Goofynut!

Karen ... Moving in One Week OMG, you poor girl!

For everyone that got "the package" ... I have light blue t's for my husband and myself and I also got a nice short sleeve "ladies" top for myself. Whatever you use, should be OK and fun.

Dan & Scott ... not to feel left out, I'll send you a package.

While I'm at it I'll send one to Tulirose too!

Well gotta get to bed ... worked out of town today and I have to finish off all my cases tomottow and the end of month reports cause we have to go to Rochester NY friday for a memorial service for one of Art's uncles.

Don't make too many pages for me to read when I get back!!!

have a nice one

:bounce:

Cathy please be careful on your trip to Rochester and tell Art he has our condolences on the loss of his uncle. I know that everyone including myself wish to thank you for all of the time and the hard work that you have done for everyone on this cruise.

Guess that I will lay it down for the night and will try to catch everone tomorrow. Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise. Mike

Have to be careful about all the lurkers stealing our 1,000th post on this thread:p

Taking a few seconds to check in ....

Mike --- Thank's. I like to do these things to help make it a super cruise experience for our DIS Family. It's just me ... like when I did all my volunteer fire & rescue stuff ... I enjoy helping out and getting a smile back in return. Sorry to say my health dosen't allow me that stuff anymore so this is keeping me going.

MLShields ... I think it was you, love the idea of a pillowcase for one of our "package" items. Good idea that even us adults can use as a keepsake. I've read that you can do that with shirts, autograph books, etc. Could also do this on a t-shirt, then when we get home just sew up the arm & neck, holes .. stuff with batting and then sew up the bottom .. voila, unique sofa pillow!

Well, its off to Rochester ... Check back on Sunday night (unless someone has a laptop I can borrow over the weekend!)

I found us buried back on page 2:eek: ! Thought I would bump us up. Well I think I have procrastinated enough. I need to exercise and then I have to start cleaning my house. :( Yuck!

I am getting more and more excited about this cruise with each passing day. I can't wait!!!

Rellingtwin - thank you for sending me the list and for adding me to it! I'm always pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the people who love Disney. It's so nice to meet people and have something instantly in common with them.

MLShields -- I told my daughters that there was going to be a girl near their age to play with. They've known about Wendy's boys (and I know that there will be no shortage of kids on the ship) but it is nice to be able to tell them in advance of at least one female in the right age bracket.

Now I can tell my husband that there will be car talk too! Actually I make him sound far worse than he is. He does like Disney -- just not as much as I do. We have gone twice without kids since 1997. And once with our older daughter.

Hi Rae519! Yes I am/was a big Lone Gunmen and X Files fan. I was sorry to see both shows go off the air.

@Goofynut -- I will PM you with my snail mail address. Thank you for including me on the insignia stuff! Can't wait to see it.

I look forward to meeting all of you. :D

So when do we start the thread for Oct 11th?

Goofynut - save some of your creative juices for next year's logo.

Been lurking around and keeping up to date. Glad to see everyone is well. Can't wait to get everyone together agin next year. As you may know I'll be on the 2 cruises prior so maybe DH and I will see you getting off when you are just starting out.

Thread is already started windy. Viking (Eric) has one going. Mike

Hello all and another day closer to our cruise.
Kathy's aunt passed away on thursday and she went to the funeral today. Her uncle received a double whammy. Not only did his wife pass away, but the day before he lost his brother. She he had two funerals to go to today:( Kathy has lost an aunt and uncle within the past month.

Other than that things are moving right along. Had a very hot day yesterday and another one on tap for today.

Cathy there is nothing to snorkeling. Just tell Art not to breathe when his snorkel dips under the water and he will be fine.

Mike

a brief check in......haven't even had time to catch up, but, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about Cathy's relatives. That has really got to be tough. Tell her that I'm thinking about her, and Hope that we get to join all of you.

Take care.....give her loads of hugs.
Patty

Condolences also to Art on the loss of his uncle. If we can try to remember that the sum of our loved ones life is more than the event of their passing and our grief from their absence, just maybe we can get through it.

God bless and take care,
Rae

Ok, so now I have to look for next year's link.

Sorry to hear of everyone's loses. Why does it never seem to be all happy thoughts?

Thanks everyone and Windy so that you don't have to search too hard young lady here is the link10/11/2003

Ask and you shall receive.:)

Good morning all. Hope that this day finds you all doing well. The sun is shining and the birds are singing and it is another day closer to September.

Mary hope that you and George have about finished with your construction. Man that is a mess to clean up after.

Cathy hope that you and Art made it back home safe and sound.

Ave which one is older you or Mary? Just wondered if you two ever switched identities at school to fool the teachers;)

Still haven't decided on Key West excursions yet. Have to do some more looking. I hope that I have time today as I am baby sitting so that Stacey can do some of her homework.

Talk to you later as Katie is getting fussy:cool: Mike

Good morning all! 90 days to go.
Mike I am 5 min older then Ave. And no we never had the courage to switch places in school, but we did figure out it was just as much fun to make people THINK we did!"Keep 'em guessing" was our motto!LOL!

Our constuction will be on going for the next few years. My DH always said he would love to buy an old house and fix it up. I on the other hand, want a new house to decorate!
Well he got his wish with this house. And remodleing while you are living in the house is NOT what he thought it would be!

Please tell Kathy our prayers are with you all and your families.

@GoofyNut...hope you and Art are back home safe. My condolences to you both as well!

We (DS and I) head to the "Big Apple" this Thursday!I spoke with my "Baby" brother(Tony) this am and he has all sorts of fun things planned for our stay. A big cookout/party on the 4th, dinner with TuliRose on the 5th, we will spend the day in NYC(with sister Katie) on the 6th, and go sailing with my oldest brother(Joe) on the 7th.

Since this is the 1st Independence Day since the 9/11 attack, I am told New Yorkers' are planning some very cool events!

Sorry to hear about our DIS family losses for Art and doubly with Kathy. Hugs and prayers to you both.

Anxious to see Mary and her son end of this week. I can't believe the time is here already. Did you get my PM with my phone number?

And speaking of time flying, today was teenson's graduation!! Boo Hoo!!!! It was great. Thursday was the prom. Here is a link to two pictures from the prom, if you are interested:
