Hey all,
We didn't "do" any of the adult evening stuff last time. We had the three kids and we were all pooped by 10. I love the idea of a nap! Hopefully William will get into the clubs. I definitely want to go to the Match your Mate. Bill and I have been together for 24 years. I know him better than he knows himself LOL>

Would also like to do some of the behind the scenes stuff.

Art has gotten so excited that we are now leaving after work on Wednesday 9-25 instead of the morning of 9-26. "If we start driving on Wednesday we can get into Virginia and have a jump on the drive". He's too funny. He even got new directions from a buddy at the American Legion! Last night he bumped me off the DIS so he could get caught up.

The excitement is starting to sandball ... I would have said snowball but that dosen't seem to fit!

Has anyone found out the real story on why Capt Hans won't be at the wheel? He was really nice.

Back to work ... EGH!

Elaine-- I've used that scrapbook website. She has some great ideas. Last cruise, I made sure I bought the Mickey and Minnie sailor postcards to use for scrapbook. The pages turned out really nice.

Delta down again?! You go girl! I am so glad you are getting a nice little break in price. I'm going over there myself now to check it out.

For Mike -
If my hips can fit, I am sure yours can also - we chubbies have ways of making 25 lbs fit into l0 lb containers! At least you don't have to wear panty hose! Now that can be an awful tight fit!!! Now I would say I wasn't going to button my shirt, but that wouldn't be a Disney cruise then - it's be Jerry Springer!

Got my Disney fix today at the Disney store in Fort Wayne - lots of stuff on sale there!! It was toooo tempting!

For EVERYONE ELSE -
Guess who finally got an Indiana quarter?! Nice design but they forgot the pig farms and cornfields.

Hello all-

All of us are getting very excited here also. We leave on the 25th also after the kids are out of school. We won't get into Orlando until almost 11PM. I hope the flights are smooth and on time!

Sorcerer (George)-I too am ready for football on Sunday. I think my Packers will be in San Diego next January--of course don't we all say that every year during preseason?? Anyway, keep Duce Staley healthy for me this year with those Eagles of yours. He's on my fantasy football team for the 3rd year in a row.

All for now. We have open house at school tonight--I get to break the news to the teachers that the kids will miss 7 days of school. They've all been great in the past so I don't expect any problems.

Hey everyone!!!! The excitement builds...........I can hardly wait....it's kinda like waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve.

I just called Disney and reserved a 1bdrm for Dennis and I beginning 21 Dec to 29 Dec 02. I couldn't believe they had the whole week just waiting for us. Now that we know where we will be for Christmas, I can concentrate on shopping for cruise clothes. I have to be in Montgomery for a Guard weekend this weekend..........so...........I will shop in the evenings in the malls. Smokin' credit cards here I come. Wonder if my lovable DH needs anything besides bathing suits???

We are leaving for the boat on the 26th....hope to see all of you that are early. What's to do at the Cape??? So far I haven't found anything of interest, except for the shuttle stuff. Oh well, maybe I can talk the DH into going to Disney for the day!!!!

Speaking of get togethers, since time is etting short, I thought I would re-cap are DIS meets for anyone who dosn't feel like reading 100+ pages to find out!


Friday, Sept 27th 8pm Radisson Pool Area. Kids meet and swim while grown ups meet and drink a cold beverage!Name tags and lanyards to be given out to the "Radisson Gang".

Sat. Sept 28th 5pm Deck 10 overlooking the Goofy Pool (dock side of the ship) If you are only able to make one of the get togethers this is the one you should try to make! We will be giving out name tags, lanyards and some other stuff! It will be a great photo op, and maybe the only time to see what everyone looks like so you can spot them during the rest of the cruise.

Sunday Sept. 29 5pm Key West. Bill Fish Pier (at Ocean Key Resort) just steps from where we dock. Music, Media, local politicians, Key Lime Pie, and of couse or host and hostess....

Monday Sept 30th 10:30am Palos BRUNCH! Contact TwinAve if you have not already if you wish to attend. Please note: there is a charge for this 10.00 per person and TwinAve will need your cabin number. The plan is to reserve 4 or 5 large tables. It is possible that we will have to stagger the times slightly.

Tuesday Oct. 1st 10am Captian Marvins Sting Ray City 1/2 day tour. You must make reservation on your own, but mention you are with the DIS group. Hopefully we will all be put on the same boat.


Rae, I have been watching the Shuttle info also. It has changed several times. Launch date says "NOT BEFORE" Oct 2nd. I am still hopeful it will be delayed a few days!

Chrystina...Christmas at WDW! How wonderful! What a nice thing to look forward to after the cruise.

Cathy...you got a great guy in Art! I like they way he thinks!

Big giant public I'm sorry to Mary. DH and I had our wires crossed. He took care of Captain Marvins for our family since he knew I wanted to do that excursion. He didn't remember that I was going to take Mary's extra spots and only add on our kids. I'm sorry for the mix up Mary.

Jul -- I read what you posted here about scrapbooking. I have bought all sorts of scrapbooking stuff, but haven't yet put together a page. I want to do it, but never can devote the time.

Elaine -- I'm another Dole Whip lover. Congrats on going back to school!

Ave -- your Captain Hans story had me laughing!

Chrystina --have your credit cards stopped smoking yet?


I would love to do the Key West meet. My only concern is dinner. We have the early seating and I have to see what is up with the DH and kids.

Here's another question: The Sailaway party is at 5PM right? I guess we would go straight from there to dinner if we have the early seating -- right?

I can't wait to meet you all. This past weekend I went to DIS meet at Webmaster Alex's house in Mass. Had a great time and got to meet a whole bunch of DISers. It is amazing how quickly you can connect with people when you have something like Disney in common.

Anybody heard what are dining times are for sure yet? Like Beth said for those of us with early seating, the sailaway party and the KeyWest meet will be hard to make. We will just get there and then have to leave to get ready for dinner. What is everybody else with main seating going to do? Get dressed for dinner first? If we do that we won't be wearing our "Discruisears" shirts. We won't feel like part of the group!

I have been told very recently, that the dining times are 5:30 and 7:45.

The first night on the ship, I don't think they really care too much what you wear. It is definitely causual. Lots of people don't have their luggage in time to change. I know on our last cruise we wore what we had worn to board since we didn't get our luggage until about 6 pm.

Looking forward to all the meets! We may not do the Palos on Monday. Will know for sure by Friday night at the Radisson.

William got a neat new haircut today. Says now he has time to let it "grow right". He never likes them the first few times. Heck, who am I kidding, he doesnt' give a fig!!! I don't like them the first few days!

Has gotten warm and humid here. The humidity is unusual. Hate it!!

Oldest DD made me up some cute disney business cards. They are nice to carry on with us, jsut in case!

I noticed some posts about the television coverage of 9/11. I have been watching some of the coverage and taping some. I can't get through it without crying. I've been reading the new 9/11 memories board and I posted my own 9/11 memories. I live in NJ about 1/2 hour from NYC. The New York skyline just doesn't look real to me now.

Hello there,
I want to sincerely thank everyone that is making all the efforts to meet Norm and I in Key West - I sincerely believe that those that go, will get a big enjoyment out of it. I am trying to finalize all the loose ends before the end of next week - after that can tell about all of who is going to be there etc.
Mary thanks for keeping up everything that you have done - its been a great help to me.
