They updated the cruise site. Now it says less.....Not even a poll.

Welcome S.S. Member Cruisers! This year's voyage is getting closer, and we have some exciting news on the horizon. In just a few weeks, we'll be announcing our theme for S.S. Member Cruise 2008! This year's theme is shaping all the events, speakers and special surprises we have planned, so be sure to come back soon to learn all about it. As our sail date approaches, we'll be revealing more and more details right here — and you won't believe all the thrills coming your way!

Gary - with the new board rules you might have to revise your pirates. We need to close the thread once it reaches 3750 posts. So will we start over with each thread at 1 (which would seem easiest) or will you be carrying over from this thread. Something to think about. I think making the 3750 a high number pirate would be good and then starting over with the count (but keeping everyone's pirates in tact). Does that make sense?

That makes great sense to me! We'll keep everyones score and restart the post count at one.

We won't be one the Member Cruise next year. We'll be hosting family at OKW early December of 2009.

We are exactly a month away from our Baltic cruise on Crown Princess!!

I was at my mom's at Kissimmee today. weather is great. There might be some rain this weekend because there is a tropical depression forming in Costa Rica. Hope you have a great time.

Joan- enjoy your visit to the House of the Mouse!

Mary-I did really well last week with walking 40 min every day, then I hurt my back. It will be a few days then I will be out there again. My goal is to lose 50 lbs. before the cruise.

Dan-Congrats with the grandson. That is amazing.

I wish they would give us more on the website! It is very disappointing that they don't give us more. Even some teasers would be better than nothing!

Good Morning everyone! I am back from Alaska...Short trip, but it was great to catch up with my friend. I really didnt get to do much sightseeing due to the time constraints and the wake and funeral. But overall it was a great time! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Tonight Haylee has girl scout camping and then tomorrow she bridges over from brownies to girl scouts. Otherwise this weekend is a catchup weekend for me, I have alot of laundry and cleaning due to being gone for the last 5 days!

Dan, you are 100% correct. We will all be together and we will have a great time. Even on the 2006 cruise where DVC seemed to drop the ball a number of times Mark and I still enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. I'm sure the same will happen this time. I just wish DVC would "get" that while we all love surprises we all love planning and knowing a bit about what is coming up. Guess we got spoiled by the 2005 cruise as far as planning and then the 2007 cruise as far as guests.

Welcome to the 2008 DVC Member Cruise Meets Thread!


Mark and I will be happy to do the website again as well as DIS buttons for everyone. Here is the info we'll be looking for.

Send your info to member2008@monorailgreen.info

• Dis name of anyone in your party that has one. We want at least one person from each group to be an active DIS member.
• Real names of eveyone in your party and relationship (husband, wife, daughter, friend, etc.)
• Cabin number(required only for the button - if you don't want it published we will honor that but we want to make sure the buttons get to you if you miss the meets)
• Birthdays of everyone in your party
• Anniversary date
• Year you bought into DVC and where you own (for the buttons)
• Early/late seating
• Where you are staying the night before the cruise? (not for the grid on the web page but so we can try and coordinate a DIS meet the night before)
• Button? yes or no (specify who is getting one- be detailed!)
• Photo (.jpg or .gif please so we can get to "meet" you and your family)

The above is just a way for everyone to get to know each other before the cruise. If the group wants we can password protect the picture gallery page.

How much info you give is totally up to you. We only ask for the cabin numbers for the buttons so we don't get stuck with them and have no way to get them to you.

Also the buttons are at no cost to you. They are our gift to the group to help identify fellow DISers.

Nancy & I just gat back fro WDW, we went to the Welcome Home Wednesday thing at the Altantic Dance Club... and we won A FREE CRUISE for Next Year !!!

Just Kidding ;-) any ways I spoke with a DVC Cast member and he told me that thet were going to do thatmini update the the web page but in one month they would be announcing the Theme. So we need to stay tuned.

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday!

We had beautiful weather here yesterday so Mark made good use of it and did tons of yard work including getting all the canna's in the ground. I helped with that and did a lot of laundry as well.

Today looks to be just as nice a day so after Mass we're going to head down to the zoo. We are members and haven't been for a while.
