I am still trying to get a mini vacation in. I might try for our anniversary.
Can't wait for July and my trip to Los Angeles.

OK...I was so not trying to get that pirate...Was trying to help someone else get it...Sorry about that!:)

Here I sit on spring break. I am reading about the things you all are doing, reading about going to the beach versus other ports, dreaming of being at the beach myself - and finally after 3 days of solid grading, I am almost finished with 36 research papers. This is NOT how I wanted to spend spring break. Oh well - September is coming!

I spent my spring break working too, so I feel for you! We usually don't ever go away for spring break because the cost of airfare is outrageous and the crowds are insane! Good luck with those research papers!

That's what I was doing too. That's ok Tina you needed another one anyway since you gave one away to Mark. :)

Conrats to Tina on the Pirate.

I too would love a 7 day cruise, but like someone said the price would probably be out of my range. I wonder if the next time DCL needs to do a 5 day cruise if DVC could nab that time slot. Even one more day would be great. As for ports of call, I would definitely prefer a 2nd day at CC over Nassau, but I did enjoy Key West the year we did that.

I vote for anoher sea day. There is so much to do and not enough time on the ship.

Do you find the 7 day a lot more than the 4 day?
Nancy and I were talking about it the other day.

I put that on my comment form last year, I wish the cruises were longer.

I like the two stops to CC, since we have younger children it's much safer than having to hail a cab in Mexico or anywhere else for that matter, the tram works great for us.

Congrats on the Pirates, I knew I would miss it.

Off to call DVC now, wish me luck!!

Thanks for the info. We will most definetly have to talk about it. I think it would be a Blast. And as you say if you book it on the Members Cruise you save a little.
After I got through talking to you I almost forgot about the laundry had to be folded and put away. If I didn,t get that done Nanc would ty to giv me a hard time. No not really.
Catch you guys later. My middle son is on his way over and we are going to go get a coffee at DD.

PS Jone its 62 degrees as I speak.

Ok, I just got off the phone with DVC and the member cruise is fully booked. I guess it was not meant to be this year, but I'll keep trying cuz you never know who will cancel.

How can you go to DD and not have a donut!!!! have a cream filled one for me!!!! Oh I can't remember the last donut I had. It was probably at topsiders on the 07 member cruise................

Since I talked to you the sun has come out and it's 71. Too bad I am inside.

Teresa sorry to her you didn't get on.

have a great Wednesday afternoon.

HI Joan
Grampa was good I just had a cup of Hazelnut black with NO DONUTS. As I said talking to you trying to break those habits and loose some weight.
I talked to Nancy about what we were talking about. She said it sound like a good idea we will see what happens. As you know Joan her mom and dad are 86 and 87 years old and as she said it all depends how things go with them. Also said laying around the pool at BCV that Saturday would be great and she does want to go to Jellyrolls, and an afternoon drink at Huricane Hanahs.

We also booked California Grill, breakfast at Chef Mickey's :mickeyjum and Boma:thumbsup2
We booked Crystal Palace for dinner (pre NSSHP), which is a first, since we usally have breakfast there. We had a bad experience at Liberty Tree last September when we ate there pre-Pirate Party, we had to wait an hour for our table, when we had a 5:30 reservation, so we missed the first part of the party, which annoyed us to no end (paying all that money and missing a chunk of it was bothersome:headache: .) On the flip side, we went out the side entrace of the restaurant and ended up with primo parade viewing in the handicap section, which was not full at all, so we stayed.:thumbsup2

I have a ressie at the Brown Derby for lunch the Saturday we get back, and I can't wait to try the new noodle bar in MK and the Yak & Yeti at AK. And the Food & Wine Festival.:woohoo:

We are also trying the Tusker House and Norway's breakfast for the first time--any thoughts? We are also having dinner for the first time at Artist Point.

I can already taste O'Hana's!
:ccat:

I booked exactly 180 days out and I couldn't get into Le Cellier the night I wanted (Friday, Sept. 19 was already booked), so I went with Saturday, the night before we leave. My sister really wanted to go there. Our reservation is for 7:55 so I don't believe we'll go to either Cape May or the dessert party.

They say a lot of people were booking early in the hopes of free dining. I guess everyone knows it did come through for anyone that might want to stay before the cruise.

Also booked Flying Fish (my favorite), Brown Derby (best in park restaurant), Ragland Road and Teppan Edo.

We really need 7 day crusies. We took a five day to Bermuda last year, and it was over before we blinked; just when you're getting into the groove, it's over and time to go home. I can't imagine how quickly this one is going to fly by. It seems like it will be a nice relaxing itinerary, with two CC stops. We extended the vacation with WDW stays before and after the cruise so we can run around like lunatics before and after:laughing:

Good morning everyone. Happy Thursday!

Dan - the 7 day cruises are more money but I think they are really worth it. You get to some great ports and the extra sea days are nice. The sea days on a regular cruise are a little quieter than those on the Member Cruise. Not quite as much planned. I've been known to take a nap or two. :)

Theresa - sorry to hear you weren't able to get on. Did you ask to get on the waitlist or just decide not to bother?

The sun shining and the birds are singing this morning. It's already 52 degrees at 7:30.
Today im going to take a break from the yard work and take it easy. Not getting any younger you know. I turn the big one on the 28th 65 .Although I will get my walk in. Nanc subbing again today so when she leaves I will go with her and walk back home. I'ts almost a three mile walk takes me about 40min.
Joan hope you get a walk in today. Looks like it would be nice for a beach walk.
Mary thanks for the info on the 7 day. We would love to do a 7 day. We will see what next year brings. Nancy's Mom and Dad are both in there late 80's. They are both showing signs of the time. So from this point on we don't know. It could be just fine we don't know.
Well enough of that. got to think postive.
Everybody have a great day
danandnan

Morning All! It sounds like you may get some bad weather today. I hope all will be fine. Dan - I must say, you inspire me with your health-conscious attitude. I would love to say I am walking 3 miles today. I would have to be at the beach to want to walk three miles, I think. Maybe that's why I need to move to the beach! Have a great day everyone!
