No they announced it ahead of time but not too far ahead so people who already had outfits planned most did not change to something more formal. The event itself was disorganized and basically had people standing around the atrium for 1/2 hour or more waiting for the Legends. When they finally did come out it was kind of anti-climatic. Didn't have the feel of a "Ball" to me. Still the rest of the cruise was so great it didn't really effect us one way or the other. I'm just saying they could do without planning something so formal.

It was a big let down. We all just stood around. They passed out food, but we just came from dinner. They let go of balloons. The little kids we all cranky and they really could not see anything. I hope they learned from that one. The shows were great. Richard Sherman was wonderful and then the three girls. I hope they can live up tp that again.

Joan and Mary Nancy and I and I fully agree that was a waste of time. The Legends were great but the ball was a bust.
As far as eating Saturday night I think the Dolphin or Swan would be fine. Then after we all could do our own thing or a group of us could go watch Eluminations.
Joan think I could talk Rog into going to the Rose and Crown Pub and having a cold one and I bet Mark would to . Right Mary?
Also I have to have my Funnal Cake HA HA .
I think what Nanc and I wil do for passes is we will be buying a 6 or 7 day Park Hopper with on experation. Then what we don't use this year we can next.
It's very cold here today and the wind is blowing very hard so I think instead of walking its the Tread Mill.
everybody hav a great day

I agree 100% Richard Sherman's show was wonderful! I loved the ladies as well. We were up on deck 5 looking down and it was hot up there! I do hope DVC has learned from it and I think they will have. Maybe that's why they haven't announced the theme yet...they want to perfect what they have. At least I hope so!

Hey Dan - no Mark wouldn't join you for a cold one if it is beer as he doesn't drink. However we've enjoyed dinner at Rose and Crown. No I'll be happy to join you for that Funnel Cake! Yum!

Where is the Rose & Crown? Roger will go anywhere for a cold one. Last year we went to ESPN to try and watch baseball and FSU. Ended up in our room and then at the bar in AKL waiting for dinner. Too bad the Yankkes and Red sox are not playing each other!!!!

What kind of tickets are you buying? Do you want to go into a park Saturday?

Joan the Rose and Crown Pub is in England in Epcot. Great place for fish and sticks good beer and a set down resturent.

Hi Joan,

Was just reading over the posts from last few days. As for your question, we will most likely buy a several day hopper pass with no expiration. That way it's good for a long time. As for Saturday, we don't know yet if we'll go to a park that day or not. Since we'll be there since Mon. we might need that day to rest up before the cruise. So it all depends on how the week goes. We might just end up at the BCV pool & laundry!! Hopefully we'll all do dinner somewhere Sat. night.

We will drive down late Friday and just get a cheap motel off property. So we will have all day Saturday. But a day at the pool will be fine with us. We can start the cruise a day early. :yay: We are going to stay until Sunday after the cruise so we will have lots of time for the parks.

So Joanne, you didn't get a reservation at a DVC resort before the cruise? If I lived in FL I think I'd do what you're doing so as to enjoy a whole day at Disney. We just have to play the whole park thing by ear I guess. Will have a better idea come Sept. We have 3 weddings & a beach vacation before then! $$$$$$

It's so windy here today I feel like I must be in Chicago, Mary. But it sure will help melt the snow.

Anyone following March madness? I filled out a sheet but didn't enter anywhere. Just keep track for the fun of it.

Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate!

Well we got the snow. Heavy, wet snow. Yuck! Thankfully it won't be around for long. I've just never heard the song "I'm dreaming of a white Easter" :lmao:

We have BCV for Saturday night, but we get in so late friday it's not worth the $$. On priceline we can get a room for $50.00.

I hope you get some nicer weather soon. It was really nice here today. I can remember when we lived in Maine and the kids were little, those cute little Easter outfits went on under snow suits to get to church!!!

Good morning everyone! Hope you don't mind I take a minute and do a very special shout out:

Happy Birthday Mark!

Just a quick note: My surgery went well. They found a fatty tumor that was the size of a golfball and sent it to be analyzed.
