I can't believe easter is so early. I have another month to get all of the bread out of my house for Passover. I have surgery on Friday so I doubt I'll be doing anything on the weekend.

Hi Dan - thanks for the info on LLBean.

Haven't heard anything from Robin, but I'm sure she'll update us as soon as she knows (and has time). :)

I was just coming to post an update. I had a message on my machine when I got home. We have been assigned our number. I will call them back tommorrow and then email all the participants the number. I will call this weekend to see if we can get the illumination dinner.

Good morning everyone! Thanks for the update Robin. Here's hoping we can get the Epcot dinner!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Lets all keep our fingers crossed!!!!

Dan- Sounds like fun seeing the kids hockey team with the finals....

Have a great Wednesday every one!!!! It is dark and rainy here today. I feel sorry for these spring breakers we haven't have the nicest weather the last few weeks.

We would like to join all of you for dinner but since we're driving down I don't think we can make it in time. We're hoping to be in Georgia by Saturday night.
Is there going to be a gathering Sunday morning somewhere in WDW? Maybe we could make that.

I hope Spring shows up soon. This morning we are getting a mixture of snow and rain. The weather man says it isn't going to amount to much. As my dad you to say it's poor mans fertlizer.
Tonight Nanc and I are going to my grandsons celebration of the winning hockey season. We will be going to a local resturant the coaches farther runs. It should be fun.
We just got off the phone with Member Services to change our flight number for Magical Express for Sept.
Robin thanks for the update. Let us know what our next step will be. It sounds like things are coming together. I hope we get the Eluminations Dinner.
Everybody have a great day

Okay - I have good news and bad news.

We have our Grand Gathering Number - we can order merchadise, etc.

Bad News - The International Dinner will not be held in Sept due to the Food and Wine Festival.

The Safari Dinner is on Sunday night so that is no go.

That leaves the Fireworks cruise. See below for a description and let me know what we think.

(180 days is Tuesday)

Magical Fireworks Voyage
Set sail with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee from Disney's Contemporary Resort. When you arrive at the Resort, check the Daily Event Board inside to see where to meet your "mateys" and start your adventure. Chow down on some pirate grub of snacks and beverages before you board the boat. Then, with a pirate as your host, sail on an unforgettable evening voyage around the Seven Seas Lagoon. Test your Disney trivia, sing songs and enjoy a magical performance of the Electrical Water Pageant. — all from the perfect vantage point for the fireworks spectacular set high above Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom® Park.

As you sail back to your Resort Port, your pirate host entertains you with the story of Peter Pan, ending just in time for you to discover Pan himself waiting on shore to greet your family, sign autographs and pose for photos. Even better, if you've got a birthday, reunion, anniversary or other special occasion in your group, Pan and the pirates help you celebrate!

Price:
Adults and Juniors - $43.99, Children (ages 3-9) - $24.99 (available 180 days prior)

Important - there was a thing at the bottom or the Grand Gathering screen which said we could ask about planning our own special event if we have 20 or more people. I will call later today and find out what is available. I would have to have firm commitment by at least 20 people. Payments are due 45 days prior to the event.

Oh Robin that is too bad. As for the pirate cruise...it is a lot of fun and we enjoyed it when we did it in 2006 but I think for this particular time we'll pass on that. We really wanted to stay in the Epcot area.

I think we have enough interest to have 20 people to set up something if they will do that. You can count us for 2 for that.

Just my 2 cents.

I have spoken with Disney catering. She is going to have a catering manager call me back to see what they can set up for us. I am going to see where we can have dinner in a room conducive to chit chat and maybe still have a reserved area to watch illuminations (maybe dessert).

This would be open to anyone, not just grand gatherings members. Also, I don't see why we can't order t-shirts from grand gathering for anyone also. any suggestions on what the t-shirt should say?

Robin, I think all 7 of us would be interested in something that didnt involve park admission. Our AP's expire, and we werent going to renew at this time! Just let us know...We are staying at BCV.

Dan and I also vote for something that does not require park admission because we really would rather not have to spend Sat. in a park. If we had to use a pass for the evening, we would feel compelled to use it the rest of the day too so as not to waste the admission money. As for something else, we might be interested - it would depend on where & how much. Since the meet is going to be at BCV, perhaps we could do it at Cape May Cafe or another restaurant in Boardwalk area. We will not have a car to travel too far.

Nancy

got it - not in a park.

Either way is fine with us. We are buying A/P's so we are ok with anything. But a day of hanging out by the pool at BCV would be nice.

I vote for either way also. We are game for just about anything! If we do something at the Epcot resorts, we will be able to see the fireworks from Illuminations. We could see them from our studio at BCV last year.
I love the tee shirts!
Thanks Robin for coordinating all this!

Annette :)

P.S. re gathering - We would have broken into a day's pass to go to the original idea gathering in Epcot (in fact we would have just spent most of the day at some park). However, since it now appears that dinner isn't going to happen our second choice is to not have to go into a park at all that day. That's why we suggested something outside of a park. We don't have an AP because of living so far from FL. it wouldn't be worth it. Hope that explains our position a little better. Also, I doubt we would do the fireworks cruise. We do appreciate all your efforts to organize something for such a large group. Thanks.

dan & nancy

Robin - Mack and I are game for the pirate cruise or a non-park dinner. We don't particularly want to get in the car and drive somewhere, but something like what you have described where we might be able to still see the fireworks would be a go for the 2 of us if the pirate cruise is a no-go.
