Dan - thanks for the warm wishes. We had a fun day at the Chicago Auto Show today (both took a vacation day to make a long weekend).

As for booking dates:

The 90 day mark for returning cruises is 6/23/08

The 75 day mark for new cruisers is 7/8/08

Remember that booking starts at midnight Eastern, 11 pm Central, 10 pm Mountain and 9 pm Pacific.

I'm sure we'll all remind each other as booking time gets closer.

Ugh- we will be on vacation.- Dan I will have to give you our res # in case you can't make it for four. Brunch is my favorite so if we can get that it would be great. Then if we get two two's they can move it together.

NoI forgot suncreen on the bike, it's feb. So I am a little pink!!! Sorry to all you snow bound people. Bu the really nice weather is gone for a few days.

Joanne - if you have your dinner reservation linked with Dan and Nancy then either couple should be able to make the reservation for 4 people. If you are not linked I'm not sure if it will let you book for 4.

Speaking of making room for your stuff. There is one person in the office who travels more than me (not to Disney though) He was telling me that they make room in thier suitcases for souveniers by buying new undies before the trip and taking all the "soon to be recycled" undies on the trip. Then they dispose of the old ones during the trip. Not only making room for souveniers, but lessing the amount of laundry that has to be done on thier return.

Gee I have been doing it backwards all these years and bring all new stuff.

Dan - you can link reservations with other parties to assure you have dinner together. To do this one party has to call DCL and have the names and reservations numbers of both parties. Then when you go to do your bookings all those names show up. For example we are linked with another family on our April cruise. When I went to make Palo reservations I could click on their names and add them into our reservation. Hope that makes sense.

As for Pirates I'm sure Gary can explain it better but each 100th post gains one or more pirates. Most gain 1 pirate but bigger milestones like the 1500th post gain more. Mandy gets a pirate because her post was #1700 on the thread (in the upper right hand corner). Hope that helps.

If you both book separately for the same time they should have no problem seating you together for brunch. We did this with another couple back in 2006.

Robin - I believe Kay and Linda are staying on for the back to back as is Bruce (Beastly) and his wife. Not sure of anyone else. Sounds like fun for the boys!

We get AP's even if we are going once a year. We just plan our June trips so that they overlap with the previous years June trip. usually it works out that we get two trips out of a one year pass. Last year we got passes on June 8th for that trip, travelled in October for a 4 day stay, and we are going again from May31 through the 7th of June this year. So we got three trips out of them and we won't buy new ones again until we go again in June or July of 2009.

Our DVC rep - who was absolutely wonderful - told us we could do this, and it makes perfect sense to us! I am in a new teaching position and my husband is almost at the 3 week vacation mark with his company. Maybe once he gets there, we can go often enough to overlap trips. I would love that!

Yesterday when we checked into riverside they said we had a package well annette said it was for someone else. She lied. When we got back to the room it was waiting for me. It was a cheerleader minnie basket from disney floral. I was so excited. I will post the picture when we get back. I had a meeting in the disney area today and it went really well. Well off to pack and get some sleep.

I wonder how it felt to be on the island all by yourself. I would think it might get a bit boring after a minute without anyone else on it.

They'll have the permanant CMs to keep them company. The only downside I can see though is that they'll have to stay inside in the evenings, as the mosquitoes are very bad. I've heard they have satellite TV and internet though to keep the CMs entertained.

The only thing is that when you book Palo, the ressies show as tables for 3-4 or tables for 1-2. I'd suggest emailing the Palo Hassle-Free specialist once you make your ressies, and have her combine them for you.

Another option, if you can get 12 folks together is to request the private room at Palo for a group brunch. We did this on the Magic in December.
