I'm cruising B2B, after the member cruise is anyone else?

Linda and I booked the B2B while we were on the Member Cruise this past year. I don't have time to go back and look, but I think someone else is doing it also. We did it this past year and loved doing it.

Anyone else joining in?

We woke up to 6 inches of snow this morning.:scared1: Winter is officially a pain in the butt.

That would be me! Oh yeah....I'm in the same stateroom, guess you know that! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Greetings from the Boardwalk! It has been a long but fun day. We got lots of snow overnight in Chicago which led to little sleep. I was so worried our flight would be cancelled. So I'd wake up, go on line and check it out. No, still on time. Then the alarm goes off at 4 and we get up and start getting dressed. Phone rings at 4:05 - it is my FIL saying they are heading out now to take us to the airport.

A slippery ride to the airport as the roads aren't plowed yet. The benefit of the snow...we get a bigger plane since flights were cancelled yesterday. We check in and we're offered an upgrade to First Class for a really cheap price so we jump on it. These just aren't regular First Class seats - these are the type for long flights like to Hawaii which is where we think our plane came from. Fully reclining with leg rests and everything. May not mean much to some who fly this way all the time but it was a real treat for us. Flight was about 45 minutes delays taking off due to de-icing but not too bad. We get to Boardwalk to find the room wasn't ready yet and we were way too tired to hit the parks right away so we chill out in the rockers and then grab a quick lunch at the hot dog wagon. We then call and find the room will be ready in about 20 minutes so we head out to Publix and stock up on some supplies. Back at the resort the room is ready and we make our way too it. A long walk for sure but a beautiful Boardwalk view! I can see Spaceship Earth as I'm typing this.

We chill in the room for a while, head on over to Epcot to activate our new AP's and then dinner at Chefs de France. We've never eaten here before and we really enjoyed it. We even got a nice table for 2 right by the window. After that it was a walk around World Showcase, some shopping at Mouse Gears, Finding Nemo, Turtle Talk with Crush. We were going to wait for Illuminations as we both love it, but we are dead tired and have a few other nights we can catch it, plus we can watch most of it from our room. So there you have it...a fun day.

Tomorrow is sleeping in a little, then Animal Kingdom, the DVC Member Member Mixer where we hope to meet up with some fellow Member Cruisers, then off to MVMCP.

So nice to be able to walk around in short sleeves after leaving the snow and cold of Chicago.

Good Morning everyone from OKW! It's been quite a trip for me so far - first trip with my grandson. He really likes his grandma's castle!
And last night in front of the castle, one of my sons proposed to his girl after they lit it up - it was quite a site - it did the getting down on one knee and everything - I heard cameras going off all around me but of course the one shot I got to take someone walked right in front of me!
But to say magical is an understatement, a very nice young man who said he was a CM and around just taking pictures heard the moment was coming up and shot a few pictures which he promptly went and got prints made of - I'll try and remember to post them when I get back home.
Welcome to WDW Mary and Mark - it's my kind of temps down here! See you later today.

Mary and mark, We didnt walk past you did we. We walked from MGM to Epcot around 7:00 after the osbourn light were done. We then shopped around epcot and had dinner at chefs de france at 920. What a great way to watch illuminations. We sat next to the window and had a great view.

We are now waiting for our flight back to cold and snow. We both have to work today.

Have a great day everyone.

glad everyone is having a good time at WDW. I thinkthe weather will nice the whole week for you. I'll be there on Saturday at BWV.

yep, Chef de France is a nice place to eat. It is arranged that many tables are by the windows and that makes it nice. Don't think I've ever been there w/o sitting so that we could look outside by the windows.

Annette and Amanda - sorry you have to go home and to work. :sad2: Youo need to stay longer........... I would have loved to come up and hang with you for a while, but the week is crazy here. With the snow birds coming down, it is a busy time for the hospital and working in the nursing network, there is no holiday for that department. I'm being gone enough as it is with these cruises I have booked.

OK - everyone have a magical day and stay safe

Glad to see everyone is having a great time at WDW!!! I'm jealous! We still have 22 days before we are down there!! I want to be there now! Enjoy the warm weather while you can! See ya all soon!

one more day and I'm off to Disney also - bags all packed and ready to cruise again on Sunday.

where has the day gone??? off to bed now -

Good morning everyone! Checking in from the Boardwalk again.

Yesterday was a fun-filled day for us. We started our easy with breakfast in the room and then headed over to Animal Kingdom. We got there just a few minutes after opening so missed the opening crowds and walked over to the Safari. It was posted as a 30 minute wait but it was more like 10 minutes. After that we did the trails and headed over to see Nemo the musical. Fun show. We finished up the day with lunch at Yak and Yeti. We did the fast food side of it not the sit down. Mark deemed it very good. I'm the picky eater so had a kids meal of chicken bites. :)

Heading back to the room we opted to get off at the Swan, walk over the bridge and then up the stairs to our room. Much faster than if we had waited for the bus to get all the way over to Boardwalk and then had to walk to our room from there.

In the afternoon we headed over to Epcot for the Merry Member Mixer. Got there about 2:50 and the line was already pretty long. Dee Vee Cee was there in her holiday finery. What a funny lady. We got to meet up with some of our fellow cruisers from past cruises. Once inside we had our picture taken with Mickey and Minnie and then headed over to the back corner where the DIS group tends to hang out. Saw lots of old friends which is great. Karen and Mary were there which was really nice. We got to see Mary's grandson Christopher who has grown so much since I last saw him. We also got to see pictures of the engagement. Fun.

We left the mixer about 4:30 to head over to the Magic Kingdom. As we were getting near the monorail at Epcot we ran into Webmaster Doc and his wife (they had been at the mixer ealier and left maybe 10 minutes before us). So we rode the monorail over with them and then took the ferry to the Magic Kingdom. We had a 6 pm reservation at Tony's and got there a little before 5. We asked if we could check in early and the girl said we'd probably have at least a 25 minute wait which we were fine with. I don't think we had sat down more than a minute when they called our name. I guess they had a open table for 2 and not many parties of 2. Yeah! We haven't eaten here in forever and have wanted to for some time since we heard Ducky Williams talk about how he did all the artwork and designs for the room. Beautiful!

After that it was time for MVMCP. We usually opt for the second parade but this year we camped out a spot in Frontierland for the first one. We ended up sitting right outside Diamond Horseshoe which was one of the cookie and cocoa spots. We spend an hour just people watching and talking to the families around us. The parade was a lot of fun. Seeing the wooden soldiers is always a highlight for me. Then after the parade we headed over to the castle (we missed the lighting during dinner - I forgot to mention how beautiful it was in person). Anyway the parade was still going through at this end so we found a bench between the hub and andvertureland and sat there watching the end of the parade again and looking at the castle. Beautiful!

At 9:30 Holiday Wishes started. Nobody does fireworks like Disney! Wow!

Then we went over to Tomorrowland and saw the stage show "Mickey's Night Before Christmas". Fun show and it was the first time we saw the charcters with the new head pieces that had moveable mouths and eyes. Very cool.

Heading back the line at the Boardwalk/Swan/Dolphin bus stop was pretty full and they were loading 2 handicap patrons. The Yacht/Beach club bus pulled up and there was hardly anyone in line there so we got in that line. There was one handicap person there but the bus driver got him in and starpped in quickly and we were on our way before the Boardwalk bus even started loading. Once at the Yacht club we walked over the bridge and up the back stairs again to our room.

All in all a great day.

We slept in a bit this morning. We'll head back to Magic Kingdom, then we have a late lunch at Le Cellier and the Candlelight Processional planned for this evening.

Have a great day everyone!

288 Days until we cruise

one more sleep and I leave on another Disney Cruise. YIPEE !!!
(Linda, guess who I will be getting a call from on Sunday morning???)

Mark and Mary, sounds like you are having a great time. We are getting more snow here in Utah today and through the weekend, so it is probably a good thing you are not in Chicago as it is headed that way!

Mary, we learned that very quickly about getting off at the Swan and walking over. Since we were in the Crest of the Wave bldg it was far faster than waiting for the bus to get to the BW.

Sounds like you are having a lot of fun.

Yep - we are in the Crest of the Wave building too!

Back in the room after CP to chill for a while and then we'll head back over in a couple of hours to see Illuminations.

Hey everyone,

As you may have read, Amanda and I went to WDW for a couple of days this week. We stayed at SSR. We did the Dining Plan. We both felt it was worth the money and we will do it again in 2008 even with the changes to the plan. We had 2 character breakfasts (Cape May and Tusker House), dinner at Chefs de France. By the way, the morning we were to have breakfast at Cape May our ressie was for 740am. We weren't sure how we were going to get there, so when we checked in at 1am that morning, we asked the CM and she said to come to the conceirge (sp?) desk at 715 and they would take us there as the buses to Epcot were not running that early. To our surprise, we got a driver and a van to take us to BCV villa for breakfast. I didn't know they would do that. It was great.

MVMCP was good, but we both like MNSSHP party better. But that might be because of the fast we only had about 5 hours sleep that night(morning). The Castle is amazing though. Can anyone tell me how its done? It has been driving me crazy.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
