Hi Linda: everyone said to say "HI" to you. Had a great time.

I'll be back on the ship next Sunday again.

and BTW - Ian didn't tell us which line he was going with. I don't think he wants it known right now. It is really understandable. He is really excited about the new position. He wants a chance to write his own schedule and try new avenues. This Sunday coming up is his last day onboard.

I'm not Kay, but last month Ian and I talked in length about it and for the life of me I can't remember! But, it is a smaller cruise ship and he will be the cruise director and will be able to be very creative and do all the planning for everything on board. He was really excited to get this opportunity because when he returns to DCL he will have some great experience under his belt since he will have been able to expand his skills and be more creative with his new position. I agreed with him. A great opportunity and some new skills to add when he returns to DCL so he can continue to climb up the ladder and eventually be a cruise director with DCL!

good morning all ---

up early. I feel like I am visiting my home. LOL

Will get ready for work at the hospital shortly. The lady I work with had surgery for breast cancer this week and I am sure the office is piled high. Not sure what her outcome will be or if or when she is coming back and I am the only one other than her that works in that division. It is gonna be tough today. IT will be a challenge for sure.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone! Has everyone gotten their new DVC magazine Disney FILES?They did a nice write up on the last Member Cruise in it.

Good morning, Mary! Not much action on the thread today. It's supposed to get snowy here today. :sad2: Oh well, the price you pay to live here.

No confirmation yet. I'm not that concerned since I checked the reservation on the DCL web site.

Wendy, can we keep a pirate score here like you do on the Dec 8th Magic thread? I think it's mighty clever, arrrrrgh!!! pirate:

100th post = 1 Pirate
500th post = 2 Pirates
1000th post = 3 Pirates
5000th post = 4 Pirates
10000th post = 5 Pirates
15000th post = 4 Pirates
20000th post = 5 Pirates

Tinkerbelle77 - 3 Pirates (200th, 500th)
krdisneybound - 1 Pirate (100th)
Beastly - 1 Pirate (300th)
Tnrobin - 1 Pirate (400th)
WDWLVR - 1 Pirate (600th)
OKWMEMBER - No Pirates (Slacker)

Looks like you already have! Probably easiest to just keep it in the thread, since we won't need a blog thanks to our website. :thumbsup2

Wendy, I need a ruling. Does one get 2 pirates for every 500th post? (1500,2500,etc) 3 pirates for every 1000th? (2000, 3000,etc)

I'll be the scorekeeper :teacher: if you'll be the commissioner. :worship:

Oops, I answered the later post before this one.

That's the way we've been doing it on the Dec 8th thread. At one time we didn't think we'd even get to 2,000 posts! I think that was back in September. Now we're over 16,000:scared1:

There's also an unofficial "wench" count that came about for the person who gets the post after the pirate:.

Hi everyone! I just booked us yesterday! I wanted to call on the 17th, but I had a CCD meeting, and forgot all about calling. Then I figured it would be all sold out by the Monday.

Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to call MS took see if there was availability. The CM told me as of the day before, there was ONE cat.9 and a few inside staterooms available. She put me on hold to check availability with DCL. When she came back, she told me a few Cat. 4's had opened up! :cool1: We have 3 kids, so we need a Cat. 4. I booked it!

So, we are going. this will be our 2nd member cruise. We were on the 2005 Member cruise, and had a BLAST.

We are also going on the 4-day in April. So we will have 2 cruises in 5 months.

Good Morning Everyone. It's snowing here. Big, fat flakes.

Only 4 days until we see the World dressed up for the holidays.

Hello all! So glad to have found this thread. We booked on 11/17. I had two phones going at 9am on the dot and finally got through to an agent at 9:32 - what a nerve-wracking 1/2 hour-LOL! DH and I are so very excited to be going on our first member cruise. I'll be reading through all the posts here and checking in often!

See you in September!

Welcome Marie!!! Welcome Denise!!! Where are you in Pa? We're from Erie.
Thanks for joining the thread! :thumbsup2

Happy Friday to all! We are expected to get our first snow accumlation here in the Chicago area tomorrow afternoon...Hopefully it holds off! I don't like the snow and cold...I know we live in the wrong city for that, but I'm hoping! Maybe I'll get a good birthday present a day early, No Snow! My 30th birthday is Sunday! Were not really doing anything big, my mom had a surprise party for me last weekend. So dinner and a movie possibly! Hope everyone has a snow free and great weekend!

Welcome Marie and Denise!

As others have said the more the merrier!

If you want to get to the group web page just click on the logo in my signature. That will tell you lots about what the group has planned. It will also give you a link to the member gallery and tell you how to send in your own info for it.

Kay is also keeping a running tab of rooms and dates in the very first post so be sure and send your info to her as well.

We hope you join us often as we all get to know each other and plan for what I'm sure is going to be a great cruise!

Thanks! We're in the Philadelphia suburbs - no where near Erie I'm afraid. But, look forward to meeting you in September!:goodvibes

It would be neat to know where everyone is from. Like how Mary does that stateroom map. Maybe have a US map and you could click on a state to see who is cruisin from your state. I have no idea how to do that though.

Good morning everyone! Bruce - neat idea. I've seen something like that before but can't remember where. If I find it I'll post it. I think I remember a long time ago someone started one for the DIS boards and you could click on it and show where everyone lived. Now if only my CRS wasn't acting up I could find it. :lmao:
