Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. Ours was pretty quiet. Mark went into work for part of the morning and then we went over to my in-laws for a nice thanksgiving dinner. It was a pretty early evening for us. Today Mark works but I have the day off so I'll be cleaning the house in preparation for holiday decorating this weekend.

Anyone here a Black Friday shopper? I'm not at all. They were reporting on the news that one mall area had a 7 mile back-up in the middle of the night due to people going out for the sales. Too crazy for me!

Mary - you wouldn't find me shopping for "anything". I can honestly say that.

My sisters got up at 4 am and were at the stores by 5 am - and the stores were already open.

They won't be home until afater 7 pm tonight, if that.

For those who go out, hope you find some great deals.

My day yesterday was very tiring, after I am looking back on it.

Went to oldest DD's house - then went to youngest DD's house. Stayed there for a while and helped cook and ate.

Rushed home and took the pet out and feed her.

Rushed back over to oldest DD's house and ate some more.

Today I will eat NOTHING - :rotfl2:

I have the new James Patterson book, Double Cross, and will read that today.
Love the Alex Cross books.

Good morning Kay,Mary
Well I see you guys had a busy day like we did. We all ate too much ,but two or three days of the right eating we will be back to normal.
We had a busy day the whole family as usual had our Thanksgiving at Nancy,s Mom and Dad. The Mom and Dad who just celebrated there 65th anniversy. As long as she is able she wants us all over ther for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are both amazing.
The sun is out her today so I guess I will go finish cleaning up the leaves before the snow starts to fly.
Catch you all later

Good Morning All,

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

We just added a room to our reservation, my wifes Aunt and Uncle are now going on the cruise with us. I was very surprised that they still had openings and to be able to put us together.

I have sent Mary and Kay the info for updates.

I'm glad to see that everyone survived Thanksgiving! I don't participate in Black Friday and Gail had to work today. We are leaving for my Folks house tonight and they don't have internet access so I'll catch up with everyone Sunday night or Monday morning. Have a great week-end everybody!

We'll be doing the 300 day dance this week-end!!! :cool1:

Gail and Gary - have a nice trip an safe one.

I also am finishing packing for the Wonder on Sunday. I am looking forward to the day at sea and just hanging out by the pool and doing nothing special.

Hope all our shoppers had good luck today

Just checking in. Annette had to be to work at 2:30 this am then worked almost 13 hours. The line was around the building and some of them had been there since 10:00 am yesterday. I drop off and p/u her on this day because she would have to walk for ever to get to the building.
Had a great day yesterday.
today we are going to see enchanted with the nieces and nephews so should be fun.

Kay have a great cruise, im jealous. It's going to be in the low 20 here tonight.

Mary,
My Mom and I went to Walmart this morning at about 2:30am, we got in line and a couple of younger people got in line behind us and said they went out to the Aurora Premium Outlet mall at 10pm for their midnight opening, and it was insane there. The Coach store had a line that was probably 200-300 deep to just get into the store. They said upon leaving the expressway going towards the exit ramp was so overcrowded with people getting off, that it was backed up quite a ways. That is so unbelievable. I was out at the mall on Monday and they has some pretty good sales then. I have 100% completed my shopping for the girls. I only have a few people left.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! We went to my mom's and enjoyed the day! I am cooking my turkey today as I type! Have a great weekend!

Just a reminder that if anyone is tired of shopping and eating leftovers that tonight is cruise chat. Chat starts at 9 pm Eastern. To get there just click on the word chat on the red bar at the top of the page.

I do most of my christmas shopping on the Vetern's Day holiday, but I do like to see what they have on Black Friday. I guess I am just a glutton for punishment. We has a late start around 7:00AM this morning. It really wasn't bad at Target and Michaels, but at Kohl's we stood in line for 65 minutes to check out.

Good morning everyone! Hard to believe it has only been one week since call in day. It seems like longer that that. :lmao:

Our Christmas tree is up and all the tubs full of decorations are down from the attic so we'll be decorating today. The one tub also contains our Mickey Santa hats and all our Disney holiday shirts. I'll be washing those so that next week we can back for our trip down to WDW! I love holiday time down there.

Mary:

I'll be at WDW on the 8th. Are you there then???

We are staying at Boardwalk before our Dec. 9th cruise on the Wonder again.

M DD and I are in our favorite room, 8102, and there is a party of about 50 people that has been arranged.

It should be lots of fun.

Off to do the last minute things before I leave for the Wonder in the morning.

It is raining here and pretty nasty outside. Hope it stops 'cause I do not like to drive in the rain, especially on I-95.

Hope everyone has a great day

Yes we get in on the 5th and stay until the morning of the 9th. Then we are heading over to Vero for a couple of nights. I wonder what time the ship sails past Vero and if we'd be able to see it.

I know a number of us are planning on going to the Merry Member Mixer on the 6th as well.

not sure about that - I'll wave at 'ya if when we go by. Don't think we get close enough to see it tho.

I love those merry mixer parties.

I know, Dan - I'm just having some fun right now
yep, I did the B2B, then 11/15 and now, 11/25 and then I go back for 12/9 w/my DD and the g/baby, Abby. Then I have Jan 10th.

After that I am slowing down a little 'cause I have to go in for some more surgery.

geez, we only live once - ha ha

EDITED TO ADD:

I changed the Jan 10th cruise to Jan. 17th because one of my sisters will be in Nassau, as she is sailing on the Sensation and we are going to meet up in Nassau and spend the day together.

That was better than paying for a plane ticket to S.C. - LOL

Just had to share this with everyone. Today was decorating day and one of my favorites of the holiday season. As I put each ornament on the tree it brings back a memory. From the satin ball Santa that was given to me by a clerk at Jewel (a local grocery store) back when I was about 6, to the entire collection of Hallmark Frosty Friends (they were my Mom's and we've kept up the collection), then there are many Disney ornaments like the pewter ones DVC gives out at the Merry Member Mixers and of course those given by friends on our cruises - especially the 2004 Holiday Cruise. Takes a long time to decorate as I really look at each one and bring the memories back.

Well while I was decorating Mark was up cleaning the attic and found an old box of mine with books in it. You aren't going to believe this - inside was a 1982 Steve Birnbaum brings you the best of Walt Disney World. Talk about memories! Some highlights:
  • A tower room in the Contemporary will set you back $95 a night.
  • A one day ticket to the Magic Kingdom (all that was open at that time is $11.50 if you are staying onsite and $13 if you are staying offsite.
  • Are you a smoker? Stop by the Tobacconist on Main Street for a full variety of smokers aids and special match books.
  • Come visit the Epcot Preview Center in the Magic Kingdom.
  • Be sure and catch the Tencennial Parade celebrating 10 years of Walt Disney World.
  • Want Sunday Brunch? Head up to the Top of the World Supper Club at the Contemporary.
  • Looking to do some shopping? Then head over to the Walt Disney World Village.
Well I could go on and on but you get the idea. So today was definately a day of memories.

yep, lots of memories each year. My children made ornaments and such for the trees over the years and each time I take them out, it puts a smile on my face.

I have enough Disney ornmanets to put on a tree by themselves and each year collect more. Two trees would be more appropriate to hold all of them. :cool1: My oldest DD was born the "day" that Disney World had its opening and I think back to that time period often. My two girls have always been Disney babies - not so much my son.

OK - I'm up and getting ready to leave in about an hour now.

Hope everyone has a great week and I'll catch up when I get back. I cleaned out my inbox so that nothing would get rejected.

toodles ------------
