We did it!!! We just booked the members cruise! I just got off the phone with MS, and it is official!

This is our first Disney Cruise, first Members Cruise, etc, and I'm so excited! Thanks so much for this detailed thread of information, and I can't wait to get to know you all!!

Thank you Mary,Tina and Robin!!! 16 years ago we got married in the gazebo on the island in the lake at the Carribean Beach Resort at WDW.

Gary and Gail:

you should be back at Caribbean Beach in that same gazebo to celebrate.

I know you'll make it another 16 years and then another

Hi Tinkerbell77! I meet you at the Cove Cafe meeting. It was a great cruise. We are leaving everyone home this time. Just me and DH.:cheer2: It will be great seeing you again. Did you see the pictures from the weddnig? They were beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Thanks for the welcome!

Now........I already have a question for the cruise veterans! LOL!!

After the cruise, we've booked 3 nights at SSR. Will DCL provide us with transportation from Port to WDW/SSR? If not, can we get Mears or something like that?

Thanks so much!

I know it is early to actually plan this, but would anyone be interested in a game of "Tag?" We did this on our last cruise and it was loads of fun. I will be glad to organize it.

Brief description. I will make up a list of all those wanting to participate. I will need Disname, name and room numbers. I will distribute the list at the beginning of the cruise. You will "Tag" the person below your name with a little trinket/gift to thier room - fish extenders work well. When you are tagged, go to the next person on your list and tag them. So forth and so on until everyone on your list is tagged. It was really fun. One person on our last cruise made a CD of cruise music for his tag. Another had coma inducing candy packet. I left little edible/drinkable goodies that were made in Tennessee. We also had a little magnet that we used to indicate the Tag. You get to keep the one you get after you tag everyone else.

Just for you guys to think about, I will actually take up names closer to the cruise.

I did see the pics and yes they were beautiful!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, also! We are cruising in Feb just the 2 of us for a 4 night...So that should be fun! Can't wait to see you again in Sept.

Gail and I have visited the island and gazebo several times since being married. We went there on our last visit in September and were pleasantly surprised to find that the whole island is being refurbished after several years of neglect. We were assured that the gazebo will remain intact.:thumbsup2

Robin, that sounds like fun. I'm in!

Robin - sounds like fun. We did a "fish extender" gift exchange on the last cruise and this sounds like a nice little twist to that. We're in!

P.S. If you want to do a short write-up on it we'll be happy to add it to the web page.

DCL has transportation, but I thinks its like $59 or $69 a person RT. You can also do a towncar service, or rent a car at one of the close agencies. We used Budget, and it was a very inexpensive rate, I think like $100 for a full size van for a day. They have shuttles that pick you up at the port and take you to the rental agency. Then you can return the car at the doubletree in Downtown Disney or at the airport.

Disney can provide the transportation for a fee. I think it is around $35 per person each way. (They use Mears)

You can also hire a private towncar for around $100 - $110 each way for upto 4 people. (you can schedule a store-stop to pick up food for SSR)

Finally, you can rent a one-way rental from AVIS, Budget, etc. These usually turn out to be around $45 - 70 each way depending on time of year.

Linda and I will join in "tag" also.

We will also have our Fish Extenders out on our fish.

For the new cruisers, this is a FE that we hang outside our Stateroom on a peuter "fish" that holds messages when they are left by someone:

Here is a picture of one type of fish:

I have one hanging in my kitchen also:

This year it was $140.00 per couple from Resort to port and back via Disney Cruise Lines buses.

Welcome aboard!

If you click on the Member Cruise logo in my signature it will take you to a web page we've developed for the cruise. Feel free to send me your information if you want to be included in the gallery (details on the page).

Kay (krdisneybound) is also keeping a listing here in the very first post on the thread.

We've got a great group of new cruisers as well as returning veterans so any questions you have just ask away and we'll do our best to answer them!

Just noticed that Kay did not add us to the first post on the thread for booked cruisers.

Do you take that off Mary and Mark's site, or do I need to PM you separately?

Thanks...just let me know! :)
