Wow, $10 seems like a deal! So I have been doing some reading and it looks like if I don't make it on the 75 days out booking, head right to wavebands to see if I can get in.

Is there a dress code for brunch?

Well now that you have cruised Disney before you can book it at the 90 day mark!

If you don't make it online however yes you head to Wavebands (or wherever they are doing Palo reservations on boarding day) and try and get in that way.

As for a dress code. Cruise casual. Dockers and polos are fine for guys, capris, pant suits or sundresses for ladies. No shorts and no jeans.

We did Palo's brunch for the first time this past cruise (Mary and Mark were at the table behind us). There was so much on the buffet, I wished that I hadn't gotten something made to order. It was worth the extra money. We tipped extra because the service is so good. One note though: if you order a specialty coffee there is an extra charge. Amanda had an espresso and we didn't know that wasn't included with the meal, but it was only around $4. I think everyone should try Palo's at least once. I think I want to try dinner on the 08 cruise.

Mark- I loved those pictures and cannot wait for the next one.

Good morning everyone!

Annette you do remember that you had dinner at Palo back in 2005 don't you? I know you did because we ate dinner with you! :) The chocolate souffle at dinner is wonderful. I still prefer brunch and we'll be trying to get that again on the 2008 cruise.

I much prefer Brunch over Dinner. Try not to miss any dinners in the dining rooms in case something special is going on. Sometimes we don't know ahead of time.

This year's Brunch was crazy with the Space Shuttle going off. We walked outside to see it and when we came back our table was cleaned off and we specifically said we'd be right back, leave the food here. No big deal - I know we could have ordered again, but just didn't do it. We were mostly finished.

What bothers me is that some people can't get reservations and then each and every time I have gone for Brunch, there are 1/2 of the tables empty. It is possible that they save tables for special VIPs onboard also for whenever they decide they want to go.

I STILL LUV THE BRUNCH........................

I think they might leave some open for that. We ended up having brunch next to X. Atencio and his wife but didn't realize it was them until we went to the presentation later that afternoon. We had a 10 am reservation at Palo and the room was pretty empty but started filling up as our brunch went on. I was thinking that because everything is made to order in that small kitchen (as opposed to the large ones for the other resturants) that they stagger when people come to give them the best service. So empty tables early and later but maybe pretty full right at the height of brunch. I think this also helps with the flow of those going up to the buffet.

Mary, I forgot about that!! That was a great night. First we went to the cocktail party in the Walt Disney suite and then dinner at Palo's with Jim Lewis and others that are now our friends. We didn't know about Dis then.

My land line is busticated and Verizon says they can't get someone to look at it until Friday!!!:scared1:  Thank Walt I have my cell phone as back-up. I need some Pixie Dust thrown my way, please! :grouphug:

It horrid when the land line doesn't work. My youngest DD doesn't have a land line and when she doesn't answer her cell phone, I go wacky.

I just think she should have a phone at home. Oh well, I'm just the Mom :confused3

Didn't have a good Sunday or today.

I am pretty sure I had food poisoning from some tuna salad I ate at the hospital on Sunday around Noon.

Thought it was my gall bladder acting up and was scared to death that the cruise was not going to happen this week. Just can't disappoint my 4 YO g/daughter and call it off.

I did take some strong pain pills and that made me even sicker. Was not a fun thing to go through.

Am just resting today and doing nothing at all.

Do feel much better now.

Hope everyone got the day off.

Hello from Disneyland! It's sunny California once again and I'm loving it out here - sure hope to be able to get thru on calling on Saturday but I'm sure that my roomie will have better luck than me this time around!

No day off here, but it wasn't too crazy a day.

Kay - sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope you are better in time for your cruise.

Mary - have fun in Disneyland!

Happy Tuesday everyone:

Back to work and our normal (if that is right) schedule.

One day closer to everyone calling in for the cruise.

And 2 days closer to those who who are booked already and will be finding out what Staterooms they have been given.

Nice morning here in Ft. Lauderdale. A little cool and the change is nice.

Have a great day

Good morning everyone! Another day closer!

Kay are you feeling better this morning?

Hi Mary:

Yes, I am a little better. Better than yesterday morning. At least I slept from 1 am till 6: - so that is a good sign.

Told my DD that I would rather had been in labor, as I knew it would eventually stop, but didn't know if this was going to stop or not.

I just have to get to Disney tomorrow and the ship on Thursday morning amd get home and I'll be a happy camper.

PS - edited to add: I just weighed myself and dropped 6 pounds since Sunday. Not good.....

Though I would just jump in and say good morning to all. Kay it would be fun to do a B2B but with only 260 points we can't do both although we would love to. I hpe you and Mary got your baking done this weekend?
Well Nanc and I are off to a Medicare suppelment meeting. April I go on Medicare. Ther are a lot of choices out there we want to hear them all so we can make the right choice. It helps that I sold insrance for ten years.I have an understanding of it.
Well enough gang will catch you all later

Dan - thanks for asking. Our bake sale was yesterday but I didn't really bake. Instead I opted to do white chocolate dipped pretzel rods. They were a big hit especially with the afternoon crowd. All told we made $400 some dollars to be donated to the American Red Cross in honor of the California Wildfires. Not too bad for a small company.

No back to back for us. We limited vacation time and the drive there and back we opting for a few days at WDW after the cruise and then the drive home.

Got back yesterday from doing Turkey day at my in-laws and Dads. Now I have a 4 day weekend with no plans or travel. Woo Hoo. If the parks weren't so busy that weekend, I would probably try use up more our our APs.

We won't be doing a B2B. We are already dealing with child care for the 4 -5days.

I have gone thru those choices also. Had to do the supplements after Harry's passing this year 'cause I lost the government insurance that I had for over a decade.

I feel so sorry for those who don't really undertand it and not even after they choose which options they want. It is an awful maze to go through.

I do have a much better understanding of it now.

I ended up with AARP RX and Pyramid. I don't even have to show my Medicare card anymore with those two. It has worked out pretty well.
