I am looking more and more opptimistic...Looking at the radar, it looks like there is a big break in the rain and snow and it will fall where we are! Hopefully!

Mandy keep chatting and you'll hit 700 real fast!

I am also going to give Mark one of pirates..so now he has 2! Thanks for the radar maps, I'm watching them closely! If you in the car:rotfl2: I'm sure Mary is going to take it real fast from you!!!:lmao:

I will keep everyone posted on the flight as soon as I know something!

For now it will be an early morning, so off to watch my tiv and american idol, and then to bed!

I hope all of our friends are okay tonite with those horrible storms breaking out - stay safe!

Thanks Mary. The tornado sirens are blaring outside as we speak. I think we are not in the path of the main storm, but I am a little concerned about my sister. The big system is moving over her now. My biggest concern for my family is the system that is currently hugging the Mississippi. I am not sure what it will do.

Update on system - Sister is fine. The "hook" or rotation center move over the top of her house. It did not touch down at her house, but did touch down about 3 miles from her house.

The system in now in Nashville. They are holding the attendees of the NHL Predators Hockey game and moving them down to the lower floors. They will be released once the system has past Nashville.

Mary and Mark. Looks like the system may be passed you guys now. I am hoping you guys fared well.

How about you guys Carol?

Sofar, so good. It looks like Tina might get out ok, as right now the big stuff is still tracking way north up into Wisconsin.

The stuff that happened down your way just looks horrible. Latest says 26 fatalities. :(

It looks like the real snow may not hit here till at least 6a, if even then, not too sure of the track of this mess.

I'm still headed into work early, as what did come down last night left an icy/slushy film that I'll need to dump some salt on if nothing else.

Good morning everyone!

Mark's right we didn't get the snow we expected but it sounds like we still will. Hopefully Tina and Tim will be able to get out ok. The good thing with an early morning flight is as long as the plane makes it in the night before you're good to go. In December it even helped us get a bigger better plane! So best wishes Tina for a safe, ontime flight and two great cruises!

Everyone stay safe from all the nasty weather!

Well we are here and so far so good our plane is here and we are scheduled to leave on time thanks to everyone for your Pixie dust and for watching the weather for us! We are making these 2 cruises!

Tina:
glad you checked in and are OK to leave on your flight. Have a safe trip.

Great news Tina - thanks for letting us know. Have a WONDERful time!

We are on the plane set for take off on time everyone in the storms path be safe and I hope there is no snow in Chicago!

Yeah Tina! Wish I was joining you!

Well instead I'm going to be a home body today. Twisted my ankle the other day on some ice and then aggravated with my work out the other day. I was able to make it to work yesterday but was limping all day and it was really throbbing in the afternoon. I iced it last night (and skipped my workout) and it helped but it is still bothering me. So I'm staying home and resting it. My back is also bothering me a bit - I think from over compensating with the limping. Yuck!

Glad to hear they got out ok, there was a simply perfect window of opportunity between there not being much weather last night for planes to get in(so there'd be a plane for them to leave in this morning) and this morning it's just now started getting bad here, and I expect a lot of daytiome cancellations at both airports, wouldn't be surprised to hear they called ground stops before this is over.

Glad to see Tina made it out okay. Also glad everyone is doing well. I hope te snow is not too bad in Chicago.

Yes there is mass distruction here last night. The tornado hit a Natural Gas Plant and you fould see the flames for about 50 miles away. It burned for about 3 hours before it finally burned out. The system moved just north of us. There are about 30 house destroyed in the little town where my sister lives Luckily there were not deaths there. Most of the deaths happened out of west or north of here.

Tina have a safe trip and have fun, have a konk kooler for me.

Mary- feel better and keep icing it.

Robin- that is awful, hope it all works out.

We are under a tornado watch now until 11.
