Joan-
Why did I think you were on the cruise already?? Well anyway HOORAY you got in!

Thanks, I was wishing but I had to talk Roger into it. He likes the 7 days but there aren't any in Sept.

Glad to be back.

Joannel:

got your PM and thanks so much.

If those who are listed on Page 1 want me to put where they are staying the night before our cruise

and

whether you have main or late dining, I will add that also.

If you would please be so kind as to list it here forward and I will pick it up or PM me, I would appreciate it very much.

I will only list what you give me and ask me to list.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

make it go away by the 24th ---------------

I broke down and went to COSTCO and got a warm up suit with a hood on it.

I wore it out today to go get me a book and almost roasted in it. Not used to wearing clothes that cover me ALL over....... ha ha

Harry also had one of those old postal blue hats that have the ear covers on it. Got it out to bring with me to cover the ears.

Hope all is well.

It is snowing here............but the weatherman didn't tell us it was going to snow...........go figure..............I just finished shoveling all the snow off our driveway last weekend because the sun was out for the afternoon. Oh well............

OK - don't make it go away - just go get that SHOVEL and start what comes naturally - after all, it is my job to have the pool heated when you come to my house :rotfl2:

Hey All - Mack and I are so excited. We have heard so much about Member cruises. I know Disney has said they are still working on the theme, but would any of you please give us information about what special activities you had before on member crusies, what speakers, what fun "gifts" were you given, etc???? Thanks!

Joan- Congratulations on the stateroom. We had 6004 last year it was a great location. We are also changing our dinner to late seating. We like late because we get more time relaxing before dinner and the shows.

Kay how is shelby?

Did you ever consider flying out of Manchester NH? I used to fly out of there frequently and often did my Orlando roundtrips from there. Very convenient and a whole lot easier than Logan. :)

Well here I set at the Computor it's 6:30 I have my first cup of coffee looking outside. Nanc is still sleeping. Im looking outside at the snow I have to finish cleaning up wishing I were in a warmer place. You all know what I mean :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: .
Yesterday Nanc and I were looking at Park and Flys out of Boston for Sept and came to the conclusion its not worth it. Most all of them are at least $300.00 or more to stay overnight one night and park the car for 11 days.
So I think we are going to take the 3:15am Conorod Trailways bus from Portland To Logan Airport for $42.00 per person Round trip. It gets us there at 5:00am for our 8:00am flight to Orlando. Thats a hell of alot cheaper.
Counting the days.
Catch you all later after I get through cleaning up the snow.

it wasn't a good day at all.

finally operated on her about 4 pm. Dr. had two house calls and could not get to her before that. some things happened inbetween and I had to go down to the office and talk to him before that also. too long to post !!!

Well, the Dr. called about 6:15 pm and said he had finished. Shelby was trying to wake up from the anesthesia. Took the mass out of the shoulder/throat and it was hard 'cause there were blood vessels traveling all over it. But he did the best he could.

There was another one (mass) beneath that one going into her chest. I totally lost it. It is being sent out for testing.

I ran back down so that I could see her. Didn't tell the Dr. I was coming and he had just left.

Shelby was laying down and tried to look up at me. She saw me and pulled her little body up and put her nose to the front and mine touched hers. It was such a beautiful thing to see.

She had a heat blanket laying over her to keep her warm and cool at the same time.

The incision looks good. The techs couldn't believe she tried to get up. That hour was the most critical.

I had stopped crying by the time I left and couldn't go home alone. Went to my DDs house and took Kaitlyn some pics from her cruise. I had a booklet made for her with all the pics in it. It made me feel better.

I'm not sure when I am leaving for the ship. Definitely not in the a.m., as of right now. Will go back down to see Shelby in the morning and make my decision then. The money I would lose is not that too important to me right now. I have to make sure she is going to be OK. I'll not call my friends at WDW until tomorrow and see what happens first.

When she gets home, I'm going to treat her like she is in Heaven 'cause I know she will be going Home soon in the future. I'm gonna make this a better World for Her....................:cloud9:

I must try and sleep now - the house is so quiet - when I got up, there was no one to follow me around

before I go back to bed and on a more cheery note, I was watching AI tonight. It was pretty good.

I'll never forget the song:

Let My People Go

if you saw the show, you'll know what I mean :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

I take it Shelby is a 4-legged friend? I know how hard that can be. I hope she is feeling better soon.:grouphug:

Don't forget everyone -

let me know your dining and where you are staying the night(s) before the cruise so tht I can put it on Page 1.

I was salso thinking about our meet onboard.

You know the SECRET DECK 7 - aft???????

That might be a nice place to meet up also.

Good morning everyone!

Amanada and Annette - welcome to Chicago! Have fun at Oprah. How was the train ride?

Kay - so sorry to hear about Shelby. Here's hoping today is a better day for you and her. She reminds me of a cocker spaniel one of my Mom's friends had years ago. His name was Charlie and I know how sad she was when he finally left her. They definately own a piece of our hearts.

Joanne - got your e-mail. I hope to have the webpage updated this weekend.

Have a great day everyone!

Thanks for the info Carol. Nanc and I have flown out of Manchester before and did the park and fly. To tell you the truth Carol I don't think we though of Manchester this time. I know the last time we flew out of Logan we had good luck with on layovers. Our flights are only $228.00 per person round trip with Delta. Leaving Logan at 8:00AM and arriving Orlando 10:45AM.
I know it use to be cheap to fly out of Manchester but in the past few years there flight rates have gone to equal what it cost to fly out of Portland.
To do a park and fly in Boston it cost on average $150.00 per night plus 12 days of parking at $15.00 per day. I don't think so.
Flights out of Portland averaged $279.00 per person with layovers in NY or Atlanta.
Its a trick these days to find a good deal.
Well Nanc just got a call she has to Sub in fourth grade today so I better go check the Honey do list. Catch you all later.

do you have any FF miles to use?? If you can find a flight for under $300, it is better to pay for it and get mileage rather than use FF miles and not get any extra.

thanks to all for the well wishes for Shelby. I am dressed now and ready to go down and see her. If all is OK I'll head out to Disney and then the ship tomorrow morning. If not, you'll see me on the boards later.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
