Actually is a DIS decision to not allow the phone#.

Just a little background on the MS phone number. We found out a lot of "point-renters" were getting from our website. They were tying to use it to get thier reservations changed, make room request, verify reservations. Some were not very nice to the CMs. That is why we decided to filter it.

Hey Robin! Don't get to "see" much of you and that would be great to meet up on the cruise. Wasn't our in person meeting at MGM like 5 years ago now? This will be a great group, I can already tell!

I hope everyone gets their rooms, too. I am pretty flexible but will have to see how long it takes to get in. Hugs all....

So, are we going to have the chat room going that morning? I'm going to be in Calif and it will be 6 am so Karen plans to do the calling - she's nervous about getting thru but I'm sure she can do it! I think the chat room has always added to the excitement on those mornings!

I'm up for doing chat that morning. It was great fun in 2004 and 2005 (for the 2005 and 2006 cruises). Last year we called in from the Poly but it was a little anti-climatic as the first time cruisers had already booked. We got right in. I hope we have that luck this year.

That is the wonderful thing about longer cruises - more down time to do things as a DIS group. I loved the scrapbook class Linda did for us on the 10 day cruise on a sea day. While the one of the '05 Member Cruise was just as fun and I enjoyed the scrapbook swap it seemed more rushed as there were other things going on. On the 2007 cruise there always seemed to be something happening and very little down time. We even cut our visits to CC short both days to get back and cleaned up for some 3 pm presentations.

Linda I loved the mini navs you did and I'm glad that the colored deck plans were a help. Like I said we're willing to do all that again if that is what the group wants and if not we're fine with that too.

Shirts, lanyards, buttons, and anything else the group can think of. Bottom line is for the DIS group to have fun and plan for a great cruise.

FISH EXTENDERS! We can't forget Nemo and Crush! (Glad you liked them!) I loved the stateroom door that actually had the fish hanging from the fish. Now those were adorable!

We were married on April 11, 2004 so it is possible it was after that. Your son was so cute on that cruise, when I saw you. He just was adorable but I bet he has grown up quite a bit by now!

actually it is 320 days until we sail. We didn't have that year to plan like last year.

It is cool here in Ft. Lauderdale this morning. Went out to get the paper w/o shoes on and came right back in and got them.

Where did you get those fonts?

I'm not Linda, but yep, the mini navs were very cool

And we've had a zip file of disney fonts up on the website including the script one she used, you can find it here: Fonts

To install it, open the downloaded file in one window, and open 'my computer' on your desktop in another window and browse to hard disk c, then into the windows folder. You should see a folder called fonts, locate it but don't open it. Drag the font files from the first window to that folder and you should get a message that it is installing them.

Hi everyone!

I am so excited as I just found out Food and Wine Festival 2008 starts September 26, so we will be there after the cruise!

DH and I talked and everything is a go for us to call in on booking day for the cruise! Yay!

I went ahead and booked our rooms for before and after the cruise as well! Things are moving along here!

Question about booking with cash and points. Can you choose what people you want to pay with points and cash? For example I would like to pay cash for one adult and one child and pay for points for one adult and one child, will they allow this or do they dictate where the points have to go to?

You dictate everything, not them. The only thing they dictate is that it is a member doing the booking. Beyond that any combination of cash or points is entirely up to you.

In 2005 I used points for one of us and cash for the other. It worked out pretty good.

The point system isn't too bad for next year. If I were paying this year, I would do cash again, tho.

My husbands work is paying for his portion of the cruise since he has worked with them for 10 years that is his little bonus. Actually they are giving him a 5 day cruise for 2, but since through Carnival that is only about $850, we asked if we could just take the cash and apply it to the Member cruise. So that leaves only 3 of us to pay for. And since we JUST got back from the cruise I haven't exactly saved up another 2G to drop in 2 weeks, so points and cash it is.

So for the 4 of us it will cost us 224 points and $676 in cash. Not to shabby I think. I have to borrow 09's points so I don't think I can transfer them to anybody for cash just yet. Although that would be ideal because then I wouldn't have to have any cash out of pocket.

So if anyone knows if you can move 2009 points in 2 weeks or less, let me know!
