09/21/08 SSMC08 S.S. Member Cruise 2008 - Part 3!

Okay, just got finished shipping stuff to BCV - including the prizes for our DIS Games. Plus I just printed all the questions for the game.

Everyone better be brushing up on your DIS Board knowledge and getting know your fellow DVC Cruise DISers.

I have one piece of exciting news. Not cruise related but Disney related. I just ordered Mark's and my birthday presents to each other. For those that don't know we are 2 days (and many years) apart. He's 3/22 and I'm 3/24. Well I got home from work and what was in the mail but a flyer about Mary Poppins coming to Chicago and being able to buy tickets early as a Disney Visa holder. We have 2 seats at the Sunday matinee on Mark's birthday!

I didn't know there would be a test! How did I miss that? Anyone have the Cliff Notes? Three threads will be a lot of review before Saturday.

Am I the only one who gets stressed out before going away....... Or like vikki calls it , my ADD takes over me and it takes me till we are on the plane to calm down.

Just got home from work and offically on vacay Manda just walked in, so she too is now on vacay

Now we need to get everything done before we pick up our parents for the ride to airport at 5am. Yikes! That's early. That includes some of this

Manda is taking her laptop so I can lurk and score more

We are having pizza for dinner. It's tradition. and you know you don't mess with tradition.

I will be making a list of all FE participants and thier room numbers

They are already all listed in the Mini Navigator numerically and alphabetically with a NEMO next to their name.

No need to provide another list.

I don't think I do , BUT if you ask my wife she'll say I am the most difficult in the days leading up to any type of travels .

Sorry to say but, on this trip vikki and are not bringing my laptop. We are going to try to "disconnect" from our office and e-mail for this trip. Even though we have I-phones, we are not going to answer every e-mail and work related call. Wish us luck..... If any one sees us twitching, you know why

Well, just checked my flights for Saturday and my first class upgrades came through on both of them.

Then, went on to Priceline and put in a bid for $35 Saturday night for the airport area. So Priceline came back, said they accepted my offer and I'm staying right outside the airport over at the Amerisuites Hotel with free breakfast before I head to the port Sunday morning!

Now, just printing mini-navs, a little laundry to do, and then finish my FE gifts and packing and I'm on my way!

I do not know if it a sign from above but, the sunset over NYC tonight was breathtaking. Lets hope that we all have great weather for our trip.

What is the 5K at AK or Castaway Cay about? Is it too late to enter?

It's the Expedition Everest Challange. Its a 5K race with an obstacle course and scavenger hunt through Animal Kingdom after the park closes.

Thanks for letting us know about the open spaces for dinner on Saturday night. Steve and I will be coming to the meet, but we arent gonna be able to do dinner too. We are leaving the kids with my mom during the cruise and I want to spend as much time on Saturday with them as I can before we leave.

Les & I are going for our anniversary in November! We're very excited after seeing "Beauty & the Beast" a couple of years ago.

One suitcase is packed. Cookies are baked and house is vacuumed. Ran out to buy lottery tickets so I won't have to work tomorrow.
