Thank you for your offer - what generosity and blessing!!

I would like to be on the "list" of people for Mass. I actually canceled my DCL bus reservation and rented a car specifically for Mass (its a math thing - buses and cabs vs car rental). I enjoy both Mary, Queen of the Universe and Corpus Christi (new parish for Celebration), but I agree with a previous poster - celebrating the Eucharist together would be special.

That said, I know some of my priest friends need a break on vacation - and some celebrate in their room anyway. If you are one of the later, could you maybe count me in? I am a daily communicant and miss being away that long....

And as another side note to the rest of the DISers - if you are still in the World the following Sunday - and need a ride to Mass, we have room for 2 in our car rental - let me know! Happy to pick up and drop off!!

I must admit, I do not celebrate Mass every day while on vacation, just on Saturday/Sunday. That being said, we will be glad to have you (and DH?). Let's make it official that it will be Saturday, after the meet, at 4. As you may have read, a couple of places have been suggested. We'll decide when we have a better idea of the numbers. Right now I am counting about 9/10.

Notice to all participating in the FE game. I need everyone to confirm with me that you still want to play once more before the cruise. Just in case someone had a change of heart at the last minute. I know on my last cruise we had two families do a no show to pick up thier list. If it turns out two families are not participating, I will move our late entries to the main list.

Thanks

We're still in - don't know that we will be getting extras as we are already mailing down our FE gifts, but we bought for the originals and still want to play! Do let us know if some originals drop so we can redistribute and include others.

Where is everyone???
This thread sure got quiet!;)

I love the Stollen bread too, but cannot imagine it without the whipped cream and fresh berries they have at Palo brunch!

That's pretty close- It's a German recipe, a very.. sweet bread, extremely delicious especially with the aforementioned whipped cream and berry preserves. :)

Annette- Thank you! I would never want to take someone else's hard earned pirate though!:goodvibes Since I think we are dinner companions on this ship, it is nice to know you would be willing to share a pirate with me!

All this talk of Stollen Bread is making me hungry!

I'm not sure how hard earned some of them were. I took advantage of the fact that there isn't a lot of posting in the middle of the night :)

Hi there everybody... It has been a busy and wet day here in South Fl. Gustav is sending some rain our way.... Yippee... Why can't these storms stop? It makes me nervous. I know they won't cancel the cruise, but I am soooooo worried that my DH's boss will make him not go on the cruise because he will have to work some crazy storm.... Please say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed and say all your nighty night prayers so that the Atlantic will calm down.

I just hope that everyone in New Orleans is going to be OK and that they listened to the warnings and got out of there this time....

How are my chances at getting Palo reservations when we get on board. I tried the first day we were able and it must book up super fast because I was out of luck!
I am hoping Gustav stays away too, for the safety of all the people and for the gas prices, we pay $1.25 a litre here in Cold Lake, Alberta. Which is funny because my husband works for a drilling company (one of many in Alberta) and we pay huge prices here.
I am so excited that in three weeks we will be on the cruise so I hope the storms stay away and things settle down, like others have said I wouldn't mind a different route as long as it isn't somewhere cold. I am looking forward to some nice weather as in Alberta are fall comes early.
:cool1:

Good morning Member Cruisers
We sail in 3 weeks!

Remember too that TODAY is the last call for buttons! You can verify you are on the list by checking out the member gallery on the website and seeing if there is a yes next to your name in the button column. Also please check that I have everyone in your parties name correct as well as join date and which DVC's you own at.

So if you have been lurking until this point come and say hi on the thread and then send in your info! Sorry - no posting no button. Also remember we need your room number as well but won't post it if you don't want it posted. That concludes this PSA. :)

We will have a few blanks at the meets.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

You don't have to use your KTTW card to lock your safe. The safes in the room lock when your KTTW card is slid through it. Problem is you need the exact same card to open it. If one partner is up at the pool and the other wants to get something out of the safe you are out of luck. Plus if sadly you misplace your KTTW card then you have to call to have someone come and open it up for you.

Here's the tip of the day. You can use any card with a magnetic strip. Like your grocery discount card! Then if you use that you can put it somewhere else in your room where everyone else in your party can get to it if they want to get in the safe. Of course you don't want to just leave it out on top of the safe (since the safe wouldn't be very secure then) but tucked in a drawer out of sight should be fine.

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday!

What is stollen bread? Is it like school bread from Norway in Epcot?

Amanda

I've never had school bread but looking it up online it looks like it has some custard in it. Stollen bread is made with an almond paste. It is a very sweet moist bread as Mark noted but I love adding the whpped cream on top. Still it is nice plain with a cup of tea.

Here's sending good wishes to everyone who might be effected by the storm. I was looking through our 2005 pictures the other night to upload some pictures to face book. There were 4-5 pictures we took on the drive down a teams of work crews heading up I-75 in FL to head over to LA and help. Convoy's of 8-10 trucks at a time. Let's hope the storm weakens and that much help isn't needed again.

:cool1:

Just judging from this thread alone a lot of people will be trying for Palo. Best suggestion is get to the port early and as soon as you board head to where they are taking reservations.

Good luck to everyone who is trying for Palo reservations.

I think we sail in 3 weeks!
Please don't add another week onto the wait, I am going nuts already! :lmao:

I love the magnetic stripe tip! I never heard that. very cool!
Thanks Mary for posting such great tips:hug:

Alberta- I am with Mary. If you want Palo, get to the port early. We were fortunate enough to get dinner ressies, but want brunch too. So we plan to be at port by 10am! (if I can get DH out of bed early enough;) )

Good morning everybody. Our thoughts and prayers with with the people who are in harms way of Gustav. All of us here in the Northeast will be thinking of you.
Mary did get the post where I said Nancy and I will give you and Mark a hand setting up for the Meet seeing we will both be there the day before. Just an offer.
20 DAYS;S 15 HOURS WE WILL BE CRUISING
DANANDNAN

To all of you in the path of Gustav, please be safe and know we are thinking of you!
We are heading to Vero Beach Tuesday morning and are watching Hanna very closely. Hope she stays away, or at least slows down and weakens.

I cannot believe that starting tomorrow I can say that I am cruising THIS month!:cool1:

Question for all of you who have done the Member Cruise before-
I know we get a bunch of gifts on the member cruise (is it true I need to bring another bag?), but if we are Castaway Club members, do we still get that gift as well?
Not that I am tryin to be greedy for gifts, just curious!:goodvibes
