On the website there is a Watercraft Ski Adventure (single or double) listed but it is not listed in the materials sent to us in the mail. In the mailed materials is a Personal Watercraft Eco Tour (single or double) but this is not listed on the website. The names sound as if they will be different activities. Does anyone know for sure what the Watercraft Ski Adventure is? We are thinking it could be jet skis or it could be water skiing - anybody? Beuller?

I totally forgot about last night. Joan I guess i didn;t miss much. It sounds like the system was not cooperateing.
Well we just broke down and had to turn on the ac's. Its going to be a warm one here in Maine. It's already 85 and only 9am.
Joan take it easy today and do only what is required you can't help it if everybody is on vacation.
Mary you and Mark have done a great job on the door tags. Ithink today Nancy and I will go on line and regester. Boy the time is just flying by.
Everybody stay cool.

Totally not about cruising - Dan, does there seem to be much of an allergy problem in Maine? Our a/c was on in March - not so much because it wasn't tolerable to have the windows open, but if we did, I would have been in bed with sinus headaches for days. We even had days where we had to have the a/c on in the day and the heat at night since the highs and lows were 30 and 40 degrees apart.

I just thought there would be more to sign up for. I was shocked when there were only 3 buttons to register for. Maybe I'm just in an OCD crisis. I like to have every minute of every day planned out. Hopefully I didn't plan babysitting time for the same time as our dinner. I did do a day hike/kyak thing for my oldest. That is in the morning so there shouldn't be a conflict. I guess I'm just used to registering for all 3 meals. This is sounding like its going to be easier than a few days at WDW. It almost looks like I will have a chance to relax this trip. LOL NOT!

Next note. On the fish extenders: Anyone have a guess as to how many people are signed up so far?

Steph, I asked Robin (who is organizing it) if we could have a cut off date for the fish extender participation, so we could plan for definite numbers. I am hoping we get a cut off date, because Mack and I really want to bring things that represent where we are from, but that requires some planning since Atlanta's traffic requires us to spend a good bit of time on the road to get anywhere. We are really excited about participating in this.

I was thinking the same thing. I know it will be hard to know a for sure #, but a close would be nice. We live between milwaukee and chicago so there is tons of stuff we can get. =) This being our first time, any hints on what to get?

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been posting, just swamped at work with things I wasn't planning on doing this year and I have been out of town back and forth participating in a discovery team for the new accounting system we will be using. So, needless to say I am on a pilot program and will be one of the first to be using our new software that will be introduced across the country later.

I haven't bailed. Still planning on coming and I will plan on doing the mini-nav's if you still want me to. I have a gty room at this point and will give Mary the update as soon as I have a stateroom assignment.

Can't wait till the 21st of Sept. (I guess I better look into making plane reservations......)

I took a look at the photos from past member cruises and sort of made note of what others had done. Some people are far more creative than I, but that's okay - that is part of the fun of it. I believe there is a link to the photo galleries in Mary's first post on page one of this thread.

We got a lot of cute stuff last year. Pens, stickers, note cards, beach balls, beads, pirate stuff, buffalo wing sauce- I don't know how they got all those bottles on board. Glow necklaces & bracelets.

The cut off date for fish extender participation is Aug 1st. I will get a list of current participants together this week.

Ah! Excellent!!! Robin you are great! Thank you so much for organizing all this! We are really excited about participating.

We used the Oriental Trading Company for a lot of the gifts we gave last year. To be honest, it was just fun stuff that you would put in a kids bday goodie bag, but everyone really liked them (I think). Not sure what we are doing this year. I would like to do something that represents our state but snow and potholes don't travel very well :rotfl2:

I can't wait for more info about the cruise to come out.

Is anyone doing MNSSHP? We did it last year and a couple of times before that but we are on the fence about it this year. The fireworks and the parade are amazing. It was a blast. How many 37 year old women do you know that will dress up like Underdog? You know one now :)

Mandy- I am so excited! I just did 2 miles in less than 34 minutes! That is 2 minutes off my per mile time. Gotta get ready for the Yeti!

Have a great day everyone :)
Annette

Makes note to self. Next year don't plan a family vacation anywhere near anyones bday. Mason turns 5 on the trip...actually the first day on ship. Now he seems to think that this whole vacation is for his bday. LOL. That is the major fight in the house today. =(

You mean it's not??? That made me laugh out loud :rotfl2:

Are you doing anything special on the cruise for his bday? You can have the stateroom decorated. That would be very cool for a 5 year old. Actually it was very cool for a 31 year old when my Dsis did it for me on our first Disney cruise.

Welcome back- didn't you do the repo? Was it wonderful?

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Sorry to hear that those of you wanting Palo weren't able to get it. I really didn't think that they added more times in at the 75 day window but it didn't hurt to try. I thought I saw some openings yesterday during the day when I was on and even pm'd Joanne but I guess it was a false reading. :confused3

Hi Mary

I'm not too disappointed about the Palo brunch - we've done it before and we really loved it. Hopefully, we'll be able to book onboard. Plus my cats were thrilled that I got up at midnight to check the website :yay:

In light of the PI closing news, I thought it would be fun to post the Adventurer's Club Creed. I hope it describes some of the folks that will be joining us on the S.S. Member Cruise:

We climb the highest mountains,
just to get a better view.
We plumb the deepest oceans,
because we're daring through and through.
We cross the scorching desert,
martinis in our hand.
We ski the polar ice caps,
in tuxedos looking grand.
We are reckless, brave, and loyal,
and valiant to the end.
If you come in here a stranger,
you will exit as a friend.
KUNGALOOSH!

Question...this is our first time using the nursery (Rheya will be 16 months) and I reserved her a spot while we are on the Glass Bottom Boat tour however they didn't have a 1pm slop available. My question is this...our tour is over at 12:45. Is it doable to get back to the boat to get her out of the nursery by 1pm? I've been checking daily to see if anyone unreserves that 1pm slot but so far no luck. :confused3 Hopefully they won't kick her out right at 1... :)
