Has anyone ever added a person to their cabin this late in the game? If so, what are the costs involved other than the initial fee? Is this even an option?

Thanks!

I added someone for the 2006 member cruise, and it worked out like this, I had booked just myself, and 2 daughters, so I paid for one of them as an adult. So they knocked them down to a child, and the adult that I added was charged at child price, because I had paid for an adult already. But its based on availability...So I would call and check, and if you are told no availability at this time, check back a few more times and see if anyone cancels. They did charge the $75 fee(now its $95) to change the reservation.

Mary, You're awesome! And fast!!!! Thanks for letting me know about the online registration and not having to have it done before booking anything. Regarding flight information, if we are flying in the day before the cruise, then we don't need to put that - is that what you are saying? What about if we are flying home the day we disembark? On other lines, if you are flying out that day it affects your place in the order of disembarking.

Thanks again, Mary!

You are very welcome! You are correct that if you are flying down the day before you don't have to enter it. As for flying home - everyone can disembark at the same time. DCL doesn't call names, colors, or numbers. You are assigned breakfast times based on your seating but if you want to get off earlier than that just skip breakfast and get in line. The only time I've seen them dictate when you could get off is on the 2005 Member Cruise when we got detoured to Ft. Lauderdale. Then they gave out stickers and those who had flights got off first. They did it to control the buses coming to take everyone back.

Good morning all. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Mine was busy. Had to take Annie, my female meeser, to the vet Thursday. She was all lethargic and down. Turns out she was running a fever of 104. (About 101 - 102 in humans  ). She has been at the vet now for 4 days. We have had blood work done twice and xrays. The results for the 2nd blood work come back today. The vet suspects a tick disease. He even went ahead and started the treatment Sat for the tick disease and her fever finally broke. I am hoping to pick her up today. I am so not looking forward to the bill. - but she is worth it.

Thanks to all the well wishers on my Dental Implants Surgery. It all seems to have gone great. Not a lot of pain after the first few days. I haven't had to take anything (not even Advil) in over 24 hours. :)

I promise to get my act together this week for the DIS Games and the pre-cruise meet. It is my second priority after getting my Books caught up for Boy Scouts. My third priority is packing for Holiday World this weekend. Woo Hoo.

Robin - here's hoping Annie is better. What a small world as our family that lives near you also has a dog named Annie. Glad to hear you are healing well after your surgery.

OK Mary heres an answer to yourDisney Inspiration question...

The first time I took my girls to Disney World was right after 9/11. We had the package booked for about 6mo before 9/11, and I really contimplated cancelling, but then said right now is probably one of the safest times to fly. We went down 9/21 and stayed for 5 nights. Just me,Krystina(age 5 then) and Haylee(age 2 then). On one of the bus rides back to our hotel, the bus was full, there were a few standing, and the driver turned the lights off, and on came the music...This was the first time on a Disney bus that they had played any music while we were there. About 2 songs into the ride, God Bless America came on, we all started singing, and there were tears in everyone's eyes by the time the song ended...It was a great tribute. I will never forget that bus ride.

Tina - that is wonderful! What a moving story. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Online check-in is now complete. One more thing to check off my list and back to work I go.

Joanne - sent you a pm!

I can't online check-in till tomorrow or tonight at midnight, but since I can make ressies for Palo anyway, that's okay! I guess we will do the online stuff tomorrow. I want to get it all out of the way before I have to go back to school for pre-planning!

Now that you mention it online check-in wasn't available before we booked Palo. You'll be fine with doing it tomorrow. Only took me about 15 minutes and most of that was waiting for the screen to load. The DCL site is slow.

It is, but since this seems to be a lot of repeaters I was just going to look and see if they opened anything up.

Hi Joanne
I'm going to try again tonight also. Frank & I would really love to get brunch reservations at Palo. If that doesn't work, we're going to keep our fingers crossed and try again when we get onboard.

b/t/w we had a great time at Yankee Stadium on the 4th, even through the rain delay. Unfortunately, we got an up close view of Johnny Damon crashing into the left field wall. Ouchee!

I remember you said you are planning to go to Yankee Stadium later this summer. Hope you are planning to take public transportation since the parking around there is horrendous due to the construction.

Mary I didn't know we could do it this early. If I guess we didn't know last year.
Mary your door tagss are great. As Nancy said I wish we knew how to do it.
Joan the heat is in Maine now and is going to be here all week. The weather man say it will be close to 90 the rest of the week with Florida type muggies.
Everybody have a great night.

Mary - What program are you using to do your door tags? I have been on the DISign board a lot and love the talent I see over there. I don't have photo shop nor do I know how to use it, but I would love to learn. I was just wondering what program you use.

I actually have a couple of different programs I use depending on what I want to do. I am no where as good as the people on the design board! :worship:

The programs I use are:

Paintshop Pro 7

Microsoft Picture It 10

American Greetings CreataCard 7

Now I use these for a lot more than just sign making. :lmao: For example I use Paintshop Pro to resize the pictures everyone sends in for the web page and to make the thumbnails.

Good luck to everyone trying to get reservations tonight!

PDFG and all our friends who need it.

Thanks for the parking hint. We aren't sure how were are going down from Albany. I want to take the train so we don't have to worry about parking and we can stay in the city later and sleep on the train. I don't want to waste a minute. I want a slice of good greasy pizza and a black n white!!!!! Some times I miss NY.

Good luck tonight. I am going to try to stay awake until 11.

I can't even get on the site. Ugh I am going to bed,

Nothing available is what it is showing. :-(

Well, I logged on at midnight and, alas, it still says there are no reservations available at Palo. We'll have to give it one more try when we get onboard (we will be arriving at the port around 11:30, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.) The last time we sailed on the Magic, we were in a suite with Concierge, and they dealt with all of this for us.

Ok, Wayne and I logged on and managed to get even more confused. We did get to book the glass bottom boat thingee, and we did the nursery for the baby =). We also managed to book something for our oldest child.
For those of you that have kids: How do you get the kids into the clubs? Do you have to do that once you board?

Palo was full. Do you have to book any of the other dining?

I'm getting so excited. I can't wait.

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Sorry to hear that those of you wanting Palo weren't able to get it. I really didn't think that they added more times in at the 75 day window but it didn't hurt to try. I thought I saw some openings yesterday during the day when I was on and even pm'd Joanne but I guess it was a false reading. :confused3

Steph - you should be able to register the kids for the clubs/lab at any time and then you just check in at the port or on the ship and get their wristbands. Try logging on again today and you should be able to register them. As for other dining - you don't have to do anything. You'll be assigned a rotation and a table and that will be noted on your KTTW card and you will most likely also have a "ticket" in your stateroom listing your rotation and table.

When I logged on before 11 it did show dinner at Palo available. After 11 it just froze up and them we couldn't even log in. It kept saying our reservation was in use by some one else. I did get to fill in all the paper work so that was a good thing.

Have a great Tuesday. It's going to be a bad week here, firdt it's July second one girl who works for me is on vacation and third I am still playing catch up. Who has time to do three jobs??? Oh well I will get doine as much as I can and the rest will wait......

Has any one ever doen the hike & kyack?

I totally forgot about last night. Joan I guess i didn;t miss much. It sounds like the system was not cooperateing.
Well we just broke down and had to turn on the ac's. Its going to be a warm one here in Maine. It's already 85 and only 9am.
Joan take it easy today and do only what is required you can't help it if everybody is on vacation.
Mary you and Mark have done a great job on the door tags. Ithink today Nancy and I will go on line and regester. Boy the time is just flying by.
Everybody stay cool.
