I can't imagine Disney bringing on anyone that I wouldn't consider as a very special person. I am SO excited, and while I would love looking forward to whoever it might be, not knowing sort of makes it more exciting.

Coming down the stretch. I would like to ask the members of the thread to make less then 10 consecutive posts to earn pirate. I feel this is fair for all thread members.

Just a reminder that Sunday night is DVC night in the chat room. Chat starts in about 15 minutes.

Just click on the word chat in the bar at the top of the page to get there and use your regular DIS id and password to get in.

Sounds fair to me! :thumbsup2 Plus it is a lot more fun when you have a couple of people chatting away going for it. :)

I agree!!!! But I won't say that the suspense isn't killing me... LOL... OK so I was on the Members cruise 2 years ago and I cannot for the life of me remember If they tell us what night will be what on the cruise. Will the dinner's follow the usually rotation.... I am just trying to figure out what kind of clothes we need to bring. Will there be a formal night, etc... ?

To all, I know its been a while from since our last post but we are still here.:cool1:

Does any one have the cliff notes version of what the group has been up too? Any updates on our group meeting? Is any one staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? We will be there on the 18th till the cruise.

3 pm Sunday in the Promenade Lounge on the ship

As my fellow Girl Scouter knows, summer camp is finally over! I cna't believe how quickly the summer went. I am so ready to vegetate in the spa on one of those warm stone chairs in the spa!!!!:lovestruc

On a different Disney note, we are going during Xmas week and have booked two tours--does anyone have any thoughts on the Yuletide tour and the Backstage Safari?

26 DAY'S 17 HOURS WE WILL BE CRUISING
Joan I think it's between 5:00 and 5:30 PM soon after the Meet. If im wrong Mary will correct me:rotfl::rotfl:.
This morning Nancy and I will be taking two of the actors who preformed at the Playhouse this summer back to the Jetport. Yesterday was the last play of the summer.
Being an angel besides being an usher they help with the actors transportation back and forth to the Jetport. This is the second time we have done this this season. By doing ushering and other odd jobs to help you earn points for free tickets.Well enough of that everybody have a great day

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Joanne - not sure about dinner but like Dan I think it is in the 5-5:30 range. Robin will know for sure as she set it up.

Les & Vicki - we've never been on those tours but they sound like fun. We've always enjoyed the backstage tours we have done.

Good morning all,

I don't know what is wrong with these weather men. Today it is windy and the rain is blowing sideways, it was such a fun ride to work. I guess fay is back to get us since it missed us the first time.

Have a great Monday!

On a different Disney note, we are going during Xmas week and have booked two tours--does anyone have any thoughts on the Yuletide tour and the Backstage Safari?

I have taken both tours and think they are both well worth it. The Yuletide Fantasy involves both the parks and resorts. It includes gingerbread from the full size gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. The Backstage Safari is exactly what it sounds like-a chance to see how they take care of the animals. We went to the place where they prepare the food for each animal-very interesting. You get to see animals up close, too. We got to touch a rhino and spent some time with a giraffe. When I went on it, the tour finished with a ride through the savannah on a Kilaminjaro Safari truck, but with the tour guide speaking. He points out places the animals enter from and relates them to some of the places you have visited. All in all, a great tour, but it is not for people who don't like to 'spoil the magic'.

What night is formal dining on the Member Cruise? I'm not bringing my Tux or even a suit. Would a sport coat and tie be inappropriate? I don't want to be banished to the lido buffet. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. BURP):faint: :rolleyes1

Reminder to all those with Medical needs. Including Allergies, diet requests etc. Your form is due in 14 days prior to sail date!!

Joanne, Do you know who Gail and I are linked with for early seating?
I promise to be on my best behavior!:rolleyes1

There is no real formal night. The last two Member Cruises I wore Sport shirt and Blazer and ended up taking the blazer off. I hope that answers your question.

We were watching the Olympics. Sad to see them over, but I won't loose any more sleep.
