Good morning all.

Dan- last time we were in NY we went to Fenway. So it's my turn, plus it's the last time for the old stadium.

Disney inspirations- They have to be all the wonderful family vacations.

The first one was in 72 as a kid with my parents, sisters, bil and two nephews. We stayed off site, every after noon we hung out at the comtemporary so nephews could nap. My dad who is no longer with us loved- and worked two jobs to take us city kids on vacation every year.

Now I have had great vacations with my kids with their Granny and sister and her family. We have also gone with our extended family- our next door neighbors. I wish I had found DCL earlier. Our first one in 2002 is still one of our favorites. We were all teary when we got off.

My last trip with my mother & sister meant a lot also. As we were on the bus entering MK my mom looked at me and said" I nevr thought I would be back here again" It made me tear up.

I just love all the memories we are making as a family. I can't wait until I can take grand kids...... but not too soon!!

Hello Everyone! Happy 4th of July! Only 6 more days til my birthday =) I'm getting so excited about the cruise.

Jennifer thanks so much for the ideas. =) Kids are getting excited too. I got the stuff to make our fish extenders the other day. Not that I have had a chance to sit down and do them. I worked 12 Sat and 12 Sunday Then 19 on Wed. I was soooo tired, I didn't do a darn thing yesterday. Now it is the 4th and I'm so far behind.

Hubby neglected to tell me that he invited both sets of parents, his best friend and wife, my best friend, and a few of the girls i work for over for a cook out. GEEZ! Who does he think is going to cook and clean the house???? Oh I guess that would be me.
I'm just gonna have to assign kids jobs, and get it done quick.

Hope everyone enjoys the firework celebration.

I was born exactly one month after Disneyland opened in 1955. From what I have been told, my first contact was with the Mickey Mouse Club, first aired between 1955-1959. Apparently I would sing and dance :dance3: along with the Mouseketeers. (I have no recollection of this.) I remember seeing a short about Disneyland at the movies when I was pretty young (I particularly remember the tea cups!) and hoped some day to visit. That day didn't come until 1976 when I was 21, when my dad and I visited California. This was my first Disney park and my memories are somewhat mixed up with MK WDW memories. I did make my dad go on the teacups, though! I didn't get to the World until 1980, but have been back numerous times since then, especially since I bought into the DVC in 2000. The first on property resort I ever stayed in was Dixie Landings, now Port Orleans-Riverside. I celebrated my 50th birthday with a dessert party at Epcot just three years ago. I guess you could say I love Disney.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYBODY
Joan How did you talk Roger into going to a Yankee's game? Or maybe he isn't going:rotfl2::rotfl2:.
Well everybody only two more months and we will be sailing.
I was talking to one of the men I worked with this past month and he's going to Disney in Nov. When I told him I was a DVC Member he wanted to know all about it . He has two young kids so I told him when he get to Disney talk to the DVC people and you will get the whole story.
Well enough talk.
Everybody have a great day

Great pictures Joanne - thanks for sharing!

Joanne,
Thanks for sharing your pics but who is the man in the last one?

I think it is Thaao Penghlis. He is currently on Days of our Lives (according to IMDB) but I remember him as Victor Cassadine from General Hospital back in the Luke and Laura days.

Great Pics Joanne! I remember meeting Susan at the Soap weekend two years ago. She's soooo nice!
