What you REALLY need is someone to show you stuff...or you can learn stuff on your own, if you're motivated.

That is EXACTLY it. The best IT staff are people who are dedicated to learning on their own. The internet makes THAT part SUPER easy if you take the time to look. Seriously, type a question into google and look at the wonderful answers you get. Heck type in RAID and lookit all the answers you get regarding what it is in computers. You will learn more questions to ask the more you read (IE: I thought RAID was a can of bug spray!).
