HI DEBBIE IM GOING TO TRY CALLING YOU AFTER BOWLING TONIGHT. I WAS IN TOUCH WITH DVC AND THEY TOLD ME ABOUT ARRANGING BRUNCH AND ARRANGING ALL OF US TO BE IN SAME DINNING ROTATION WHO EVER WANTED TO SIT IN SAME AREA AND LATE DINNING. WE HAVE OUR SAME TABLE AS LAST YEAR BUT WE ARENT SURE ABOUT THE FROM NJ, LOIS AND LINDA. THEY WERE THE QUIET ONES AT OUR TABLE. THE ROWDY BUNCH ARE BACK TOGETHER:cool1:

Hi Eileen,
After thinking about it too, I'm sure that we will stick with early dining. If I miss the buffet, I always enjoy ordering a snack back in the cabin! How old is your son?

He is 8 now but will be 9 at the time of the cruise:) I think the amount of children on this cruise is small since school is just starting in most places which is why most of the people seem to have the later seating times. I'll stick with the early seating and see how it goes. If I hate it I won't do it again in the future.

This will be our 6th year in a row for the member cruise..... our first one of course on the Disney Dream. The real good news is this will be the 20th anniversary of the DVC...... OH BOY it will be quite a celebration. We were on for the 15th year. So I am sure they will do something big for the 20th.pirate:

If you don't mind me asking....how were the gifts on the 15th Anniversary?? My husband is thinking the gifts will be junk and not worth it. Just wondering.

Does anyone from the SSMC10 cruise have the Personal Navigators that they would be able to scan and post on here? Or if you would prefer to email, send me a PM and I will give you my email address.

I am looking at a couple of SSMC09 navigators and wanted to see if the types of activities and times for the 2010 ones are similar.

We did the late dining (8:15) last year and the early show. I did that so we would not be rushing to dinner. Figured it was better to be late to the show versus dinner. I signed up for the late dining (8:30) and the 7pm show for next year.

Now that they have 2 options for shows for each of the seating times, I'm not sure if I should switch to early dining. Wondering if this would maximize the kids activities....as well as mine. ;) I never made it to any of the adult areas on last years cruise. Kids and I had a lot of fun but I am determined to have DD spend more time at the club with kids so I can enjoy the adult entertainment. :thumbsup2

Any other parents travelling with children have any suggestions or preferences? Interested to hear your thoughts.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone is able to share their navigators.

Thanks!

Lisa :flower3:

good morning, its winterizing pool day.

Oh what a sad day that is!! I remember that day each year when we had a pool....I hated folding up the solar cover and unfolding the winter cover!

Good morning. :wave2: My husband and I will also be on the Member Cruise. Our names are Andy and Ginny...we're in stateroom 6170 and have the late seating for dinner.

Ginny

:welcome:

LAURA AND I WILL BE ON THIS CRUISE FOR OUR 35th ANNIVERSARY. OURS IS AUG28th . I WOULD LIKE TO DO SOMETHING IM NOT SURE IF LAURA WOULD WANT TO.:confused3I WOULDNT MIND RENEWING VOWS DEPENDING ON WHAT DCL DOES AND COST

Hey! I didn't know your anniversary is in August! Me & Junior celebrated our 15 year anniversary on Aug. 25th! Happy belated 34 yr anniversary!

Hi everyone! This will be our 1st member cruise but our 7th and 8th Disney cruise(B2B)!! My name is Janice and my sister Tammy and her daughter Disneyana(10, 11 by the cruise) are going too. We tried last year but we didn't know we had to be on the phone at 8:00(thanks to Disboards we got in this year)!! We will be in cabin no. 7527 and we have late dining. We're looking forward to getting to know everyone!! :thumbsup2

:welcome: to the thread!

We are doing the cruise after the member cruise. Is there a reason for doing the cruise before verses after? :confused3

We WERE going to do the 3 night AFTER the member cruise but saw that some of our fellow cruisers from the 2010 member cruise were doing the 3 night BEFORE, we changed it so we could join them. Not to mention my DBFF will be at WDW that week and we were trying to make plans to meet up with her and her family for a couple days after the member cruise.

Yes, we for sure want to do that, I will have a few others that will want to join us as well. I figure we can take over a corner of the dining rooms? :rotfl2:

Yes we will be the rowdy bunch back in the corner...... :lmao:

AWESOME!! So, it will be the DVCers taking over the Dream and then the DISers taking over the dining rooms! :lmao:

Boy I am trying so hard to keep up with all these posts:)
So we picked early dining but it sounds like all the grown ups are doing a later dining;) So if you do the later you still have time for everything like the shows?:confused3

Yes, you just go to the shows before dinner instead of after dinner. And then if you choose not to go to the shows, you're not rushed to get ready for dinner and you tend to have more time throughout the day to do other activities.

It's been a couple of years since I sailed, but weren't sodas free on the Magic and Wonder?

Before they had the drink station, sodas were only free during dining times. Otherwise you had to pay for the sodas and there was an automatic gratuity added to it.

I can scan my navigators and post them on here. It might take me a little bit, the kids are a little rambunctious tonight. :scared1:
