I am so sorry to hear that. It isn't an easy decision to make but it is the kindest act of love we can do for our furry family members once their quality of life is gone. If Filet Mignon is her favorite then yes. Whatever her favorite yummy is, bring some with you to the vet or have it on hand if your vet comes to you so she can have one last bite. Bring her favorite toy, make sure she is surrounded by the family she loves when it is time to say goodbye. Don't let her see you cry. There will be plenty of time for tears later. She'll sense your emotions so hide your sorrow and focus on the 17 years of the unconditional love she gave her family. Hold her and tell her you love her just as the pink stuff is about to go in because she will be gone before the syringe is out. I've learned that with time the tears that come with the memories fade and are replaced by smiles somewhere along the way.

I don't know if that was hard for you to write but it was very hard for me to read! Thank you very much!

That just makes it all the more funny :rotfl2:

When I saw the merged thread had one entry added to the beginning I knew that we had switched ownership of the :bride:/pirate:...

Like I said, I am not in the competition, it was all for the :goodvibes:lmao::rotfl2::happytv::rotfl: and this just gives us more. :thumbsup2

I think you should give it a shot; you're only 22 :bride:s behind Truffle :thumbsup2 (I can give you the "key" to catch up real quick :rotfl:)

Hey now! You'd best share with the group then. I'm busting my rump for my pirate:s and :bride:s. If there's some secret trick, I'd sure like to know it.

Thanks Wally!!! I will make sure to use that "key". I should have the lead in no time at all.

I was wondering, will that work for pirate: also? It would be pretty funny to claim both prizes LOL. :woohoo:

Yeah, it was since I was thinking of Ophelia who we had to let go after Thanksgiving. It's hard to see the keyboard and monitor through the tears. You're welcome.

Life Insurance policy THAT good huh? :rotfl2::lmao:

Sorry! I had to do some work!

Yes the policy IS that good. I'm worth more dead than alive. :confused3 Money wise anyway.

I wouldn't say it's THAT good....it's good enough that it would pay for funeral expenses and pay off all of our debt, but I'd still have to work. :upsidedow

Terrie - Thank you so much for the words of wisdom! This is the hardest decision I've ever had to make!!! How do you just choose a date to end your dog's life?! Especially when she's been the best dog we could ever have asked for! She has been such an obedient dog and a great watch dog, too! We will miss her sooooo much, but we are so glad for the nearly 17 years we got to spend with her. For a mid-size dog to live that long, I KNOW she has always known how much we love her!

Chuck and I were on the Dream 5/12-5/15. Remy was outstanding-a total dining experience-there are many ways to pick your meal-we had 6 courses each-we were so full we skipped the cheese course! We also found the pools small. There was a high school Sr. class trip as well as college students who took over the adult pool. We got the rainforest pass for the spa which we enjoyed. A hot tub for 2 overlooking the water!!! Heated tile chaises to rest on -oh yea. Take the tour of the ship some really interesting facts. Example-when you get out of the elevator if the carpet is gold you are on the back of the ship, if it's blue you are in the middle and if it's red you are in the front. When you leave your cabin look down at the carpet the point of the star points to the front of the ship.

Hello everyone...

This may have been asked and answered somewhere else but I'm just not up for going through 1250+ pages of posts in 6 threads to try to find it so I appreciate your consideration. :)

Anyway, has anybody confirmed the entertainment schedule? I am assuming that Pirate Night will be on the 3rd night which is our at sea day but I haven't found any published itinerary information to back that up. I'm trying to decide which night to shoot for when trying to book Palo reservations and it kind of hinges on that.

Thanks for your insights! Looking forward to sailing with all y'all in less than 120 days.

I'm sure glad "RAPTURE" didn't commence this past weekend. :thumbsup2
"I didn't say rapture, I said Rap Tour. Look for Tupac's 'Second Coming' tour in a city near you. Sorry again for the confusion." -God <-- Stolen from Randy Cassingham

Wow, I must type too slow. I almost lost where I was responding to.
We'll see if at least Laran and I could make it. I'd love to meet you all too ... and if Wally & Terri can travel 2,000 miles surely I can make an effort. Lara is gone half the time, and the rest of our weekends, especially during the summer, get pretty booked up.
Heck, we travelled farther than THAT to see you folks! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It would be great if you could manage it! (Sue thinks so too!)

This question was just asked a few days ago (and for the very same reason you're asking it :thumbsup2), but as quickly as these threads move, trying to find that post would be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

DVC/DCL does not announce the entertainment schedule ahead of time. We find out when we board the ship. I wish they would let us know ahead of schedule so we can all plan accordingly, but I guess they don't realize what a bunch of planners they are dealing with. Last year, Pirate night was the second night of the cruise (after our first Castaway Cay day).

On the cruise we were just on they had dress up optional on Monday night and Pirate night on Tuesday night.

I will warn everyone that pirate night is nothing like it was on the Wonder, they have changed it substantially. They also have no deserts on deck, everything is in Cabanas.

Lara reminded me that we invited some friends to the boat that weekend. So unless they can't make it, we'll be entertaining that weekend. Of course we are just across the lake from Chicago. Let's see, maybe 200 miles at maybe 0.5 mpg. So 400 gallons each way. Currently $5 per gallon ... Oh wait, the NOAA weather report is calling for rough seas that weekend. Darn it all.
