OK, Terrie & I survived the 1st day of the D23 Scavenger Hunt. OMG, our legs are so sore and I think I'm starting to get a cold :headache:. We did EPCOT (95 questions) & Hollywood Studios (95 questions). I took pictures of the questions for both of those parks <CLICKY HERE> to see :thumbsup2

I hope you are feeling better today! I'm sure you'll feel much better once you are sailing away tomorrow. After the CRAPPY week we've had I really wish we would have booked this cruise with you guys! I'll let Junior fill you in on today's event that makes the Mother's Day event minor. :sad2:

Oh, and BTW....LOVE the scavenger hunt questions! :rotfl2:

Oh dear! Hope your weekend is better than your week!

Thanks! Me too!!! I'm going to a baby shower tomorrow....and then out to eat tomorrow night with Kelly & Jim!! I think I'll have an adult beverage with my meal! I need one or two or maybe five to serve as a stress reliever! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

And the week really was going pretty good until today (besides Sunday). DS-11 had his music program last night...it was sooo cute! It was his last one...he'll be in middle school next year. :scared1::scared1::scared1: And I've had a good week at work...actually got all caught up today! :thumbsup2 On second thought...that means I won't have anything to do on Monday! That makes for a really long day!!

Sounds like a great weekend to me!!

Debbie....what happened??? Hope you are ok. We will talk tonight.

Hello my friends!!! Welcome to a crappy Saturday morning if you are in Chicago area. We go from high 80's low 90's to 50's...:headache::headache:
Not cool.

I know - what the............ Between the weather and once again, waiting for the refrigerator repair man, I'm never gonna get my veggies or herbs planted. They are supposed to be here between 8 and noon. Just got a call saying he was in Winnebago then going to Belvidere then back to us and it would be sometime early afternoon. The guy knew I was pissed - asked him why he wouldn't stop here BEFORE Belvidere since it's on the way. So much for asking to be the 1st stop today. Can't wait till it's fixed and see what kind of HE!! Tim stirs up because of all this mess. :)

Since Terrie or Wally didn't post last nite, I assume they didn't win the scavenger hunt. Can't wait to hear all about it and get the real scoop on the Dream. Sure wish I was there with them!

Hi Kelly! Yeah, this weather just sucks!!! Why couldn't we get the 80's and 90's on the weekend and the crappy weather during the week?!!! Or better yet, why can't we just do away with the crappy weather all together? :lmao: Oh yeah...that would mean moving to a warmer climate. Well....with the way things are going in my family lately....maybe that's not entirely out of the question...but only if my mom will move with us.

Well...I'm off to a baby shower....everyone have a great day! Kelly - see ya tonight!!

Oh, by the way, is anyone else extremely jealous of Shawn & Milford and Terrie & Wally? They're at WDW right now and will be boarding our ship tomorrow! *sigh* our day to board the ship can't come soon enough. :upsidedow

We survived (sort of) the D23 Scavenger Hunt at WDW. Day one was at Epcot, start time 10am with 4 hours to complete the hunt. This was followed by DHS with 3 hours to complete the hunt and we had to turn in our answer books by 9pm so we were able to get a few hours rest in between which was nice. Day 2 was start time 9am at MK with 3 hours to complete, followed by AK with 3 hours to complete and turn in answer books by 5pm  That was brutal! My legs barely function at this point  I gotta say whoever came up with the questions/clues (especially the 10 pointers) was a sadist. Each park had about 95 questions, with about 10 or so worth 10 points, another handful worth 5 and 70 or so worth 1. The questions and clues were not in any order with regards to location in the park so it was worth taking time and categorizing areas to find and answer the questions with a highlighter. Books were not allowed to be torn and teams had to stay together at all times.

Here's one question of the easier 10 pointers from Epcot. All the 10 pointers have multiple parts to the question that lead you to the correct answer:

* Count the number of boats that are on the beach near the Refreshment Outpost - (There are 3. For those who dont know the refreshment outpost is in World Showcase past the China pavillion and just over the bridge.)

* Go to that pavillion identified by that number on the park guidemap. (number 3 on the park guidemap is Mission Space so now we have to head all the way back towards future world.)

* Without entering the que line locate the plaque within a plaque. Write the 6th word found on the inner plaque as your answer. (the word was dream).

We also registered for D23's Destination D but Wally is under the weather and I am beat. May do some of it later. Tommorrow we will be sailing away on The Dream with Shawn & Milford :cool1: I think a spa treatment and massage is definitely in order :cloud9:

Oh I hope you feel better, and hope you have a better weekend! :grouphug:
The weather has been crazy here in the West Coast too. Mother Nature can't make up her mind and have a nice, smooth transition from winter>spring>summer. :sad2: There's still snow in the Sierras.

I wish too that you can be on the Dream this weekend! Sept. will come through for you. :flower3:

I'll be in a run tomorrow called "Bay to Breakers" in San Francisco. It's the centennial run, a 12K, about 7 miles, and it's supposed to be raining! :umbrella: So, I'll just be "walking very fast"...:rotfl: The start of the "losing weight so I can gain it back" theory.
Have a better and wonderful weekend, hang in there! :goodvibes

Jennifer :thumbsup2

So this is what happened to me Friday. I went to the gas station about 10 buildings down from my work at lunch. Speedway (the gas station) has a rewards program where you get points for everything you buy and they will give bonus points for buying certain things. One of these items is loading a gift card with $50 you will get 1000 bonus points. Since I fill up 1-2 times per week I can add those points up fast! I almost have enough for a free $200 gift card.

So I took my wallet out of my pocket and grabbed the rewards and gift cards out of it then set it down. I took the money to load the card out of my front pocket and gave it to the cashier, she gave me my change then I payed for my lunch with the card I just put money on to get more points. I put the cards in my pocket thinking I would put them in my wallet later since it was so busy . There was a big line behind and I didn't want to hold things up any longer than I had to.

When I got back to work I went to grab for my wallet and realized that I left it at the gas station. I went straight back there and it was gone! I was gone only 5 min tops! I called and canceled the cards in it then called the police. The cop got to look at the video and he said it was the lady(b*tch) behind me! This chick had the opportunity to do one of two things: Say hey don't forget your wallet or Steal it. She chose to the latter and now I'm out $350 and have the headache of canceling and getting new cards, getting a new license and doing everything else I need to do to get correct the situation. I even signed up for lifelock to help in all this.

All in all it's not the end of the world but it sure does sting. I firmly believe what goes around, comes around and something bad will happen to her! I'm just trying to figure out what I did wrong to deserve this. Oh well, it feels good to vent! Again! Hopefully next weekend will go off without a hitch! Please!

Bummer. I believe in carmatic (not a typo-I will explain why some other time) equalization. She will get what she deserves. And there are some biblical words too. As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Yeah, I believe she is screwed.

I think we are about to make Hoosier John do some more work here. My BIL just signed up for the boards here. I would like to be the first to bid SonOfAGoofy a big :welcome: to the crazyness here!

Maybe I was a bit hasty in welcoming somebody who may not be quite ready to post. :confused3
