I agree - not too early. DH will talk sports (any kind) with anyone.

I'm from the other side of the state, but Muncie is home to Ball State where David Letterman went to college. It is named after the Ball canning jar company which was lured here from out east when 'free' natural gas was discovered. I don't know what might remain of the Ball canning company, but it evolved into Ball Aerospace (satellites), which is located somewhere else, I assume.

Topographically, I think that part of the state is the highest in Indiana, but that's probably still less than 1000'. It's near twin city, Anderson, supplied quite a bit of General Motors with Delphi Electronics (and possibly others components). This might be how Ball got into aerospace because one of the satellite radio companies was originally Delphi (then sold to whichever it is now: Sirius or XM?).

Unless he is interested in something above, I honestly can't think of anything to do/see there.

Was given a free lift ticket to Northstar Ski Resort, worth $90...
Went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco, packed like sardines...

Then I read the latest posts here, wondering, "Let's go Hawks!", 2 man advantage, I thought, baseball?! Basketball?! Not footballl, then it dawned on me...HOCKEY!!! :roftl2:

Hi everyone! Hope you have all been well. I can't believe how time is flying by! We have our Alaska coming up in August, then this one will follow so quickly.

Anyone else planning for MNSSHP after the cruise? I know we are.

I have not been able to keep up with this thread, you guys are very chatty! lol. Do we have a meet planned on embarkation day? Would love to meet everyone on board..

I'm more than happy to elaborate on this. Dyngus Day is a Polish-American tradition, that celebrates the end of the often restrictive observance of Lent and the joy of Easter.

It is custom to throw/squirt water on and tap members of the opposite sex with pussywillow branches. I cannot specify the word tap enough, because some people (especially older ladies) go too far.

The city of Buffalo has the largest Dyngus Day celebration in the United States due to their large Polish community. There are locations all over the city (and in the corresponding towns) with events and music. Honestly though, it just a big reason for people to drink and drink heavily. This year, they are expecting as many as 50,000 people to participate in all the events, including visitors from Western New York, Southern Ontario (Burlington, Hamilton and St. Catherines), and from different parts of the country. On April 25th...everyone around here becomes Polish.

Here ya go <CLICKY>, currently there are 146 "correctional" facilities in Florida.

Wow! That's a lot of prisoners! I think he's just looking at Federal facilities. There are a handful. If he takes a lateral transfer he keeps all his benefits, etc. And depending on the situation, they may even help with relocation and selling the house.
