Give Lady Liberty a salute for us as you sail by and be sure and duck as you go under the bridge.:goodvibes

Will do. The last time I was traveling on a motorcycle and specifically went there to see the Statue of Liberty. It was 1986 (?) and Lee Iacoca (sp?) from Chrysler was a key player in her restoration which was initiated around 1976 during our bi-centenial. It was just before the 4th of July, and sadly she was all covered up for the big unveiling. So I have never really seen the Statue of Liberty. It will be great seeing her as my ancestors might have when the first arrived to America.

I would still have to research when they actually arrived, though. As I recall Pheobious (sp?) Dickerson arrived sometime in the 1800's, and if my history is right the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France on our country's 100th birthday in 1876. The other neat thing is, he may have even sailed Cunard Lines to get here. Cunard has a link to passenger records on their website, but I have to figure out how to spell his first name before I can find out. Plus a lot of passengers were merely listed as 'male' with no name.

I think that being listed as a male with no name might be something I could use for the members cruise for my protection and the safety of others.:rotfl2:

Howdy! How was everyone's day? Mine was ok. Tomorrow is payday and the next day is Friday!!!! Woohoo! I sooooooo look forward to the weekends! We are supposed to get snow tonight. Yuk!

John - that is sooooooo cool that you get to come home on the QM2! Please make sure and post pictures on here! I hope you have calm seas. And here's some pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: to help get you to DLP.

I know we talk a lot about adult beverages on this thread ... but it docks a 7 AM! That's even too early for me to start drinking. :)

I'll be sure to wave. Would I be able to pick out your station from the water?

Well, in honor of England and the Queen's Royal Time, I would actually be drinking much closer to lunch time which is quite acceptable, pip pip and all that rut...

As you are going under the bridge, look to the starboard side. The very last piece of property before the bridge is where I work. The footings for the bridge are technically on our property.

What date are you going to be coming in?

Andy, you should set up a webcam so we can see the QM2 (with john and family) as they pass by :thumbsup2

WALLY - where the heck have you been? Haven't heard from you in awhile.

 Hi Terri...I've been busy making Di$ney Dollar$ so I can take 30+ days worth of magical vacations this year (you know, couple of cruises on the Dream, few trips to WDW, etc) :goodvibes
