We had a great time this afternoon meeting and hanging out with John, Lara, and of course Laran! As John said, it was just like old friends meeting after a long absence. It is funny that both John with his family and us had to travel to a foreign country to meet when we only live about a 4 hour drive apart!
Something that John didn't mention was that the restaurant, as busy as it was, didn't pressure us in the least to leave, so we were able to sit and chat for quite a while. After lunch, Sue and Lara were off on a mission to find a couple of scarves, leaving John, Laran, and me in the dust! They finally found the ones they were looking for and we didn't lose them in the crowds!

The reason that John beat me to the boards was that we arrived home to a veritable flurry of activity consisting of DD, Terra, getting clothing together for a several day driving adventure with a 19 month old son who is suddenly growing a fair amount and a pair of month old twins who are just plain messy. After we helped get that done by taking care of all 3 kidlets, it was time for dinner. And feeding. And changing. And then we got to eat. Needless to say, it has been a tad hectic around here this evening! After all that was sorted out we got to eat, and after clean-up, I finally have time to post. Whew! I don't envy their lives for the next few years with the amount of work that 3 boys that age brings!![]()
I will eventually get the pictures together, it will take me a little while to have the time to get it together. Maybe tomorrow. We can hope!
Now, I bid you all a good night. I need my rest for the late shift with the twins...![]()

It's really great you all got to get together in London.
John - how much longer are you going to be over there?
Well the Potter clan has there dining reservations all taken care of for before and after the cruise.Packing for Ireland is just about complete, just a few more things to throw in tomorrow.
So now, it's time to catch up here since it might be two weeks before I get back to it. Although I don't think that will happen with as many communicative devices that will be along with us on the Potter family trip!
Anyway, it was neat to see the pictures many of you have posted, I am not a big drinker, but there are many drinks on that menu I might want to try!!It was also really cool to read about the meeting at Bistro 1 in London. That is the same resturant Michael (M & N Potter) and I met Terra (Clayfolks & Truffel's DD and our niece) a few years back. It is a great resturant. It was also really nice to meet up with family in the middle of a trip where we had lots of firsts. Like driving
and then heading to France with little or no knowledge of the language.

It's nice to read about how everyone here is meeting up. I know we enjoyed ourselves so much at DWTD a few weeks ago. It's cool that we have all gotten to know people from all across the country and I can't wait to meet everyone in September!
Oh well, I have a few more things to do tonight, so I hope the first day of springhas treated everyone well.
I thinks it's only about 26 weeks till we cruise!!![]()

Wow two families from the mid west travel to London to have lunch. Sounds like the plot of a Disney movie. I am glad I only have to travel from Texas to Florida to meet all you fine folks on the member cruise. Travel safe back to the USA.
We are all less than six months from starring in our own Disney production.
Wow, nice pics!Sleep Perhaps to Dream.......
Sweet! No pun intended...Debbie---We had a great time last night too. Lilly is still asking where her "friends, Emilee and Brandon," are!! I can't believe we sat in that play area for so long. Went by way too fast. We definitely have to get together again! How was your drive home?? We took the LONG way...for some reason, Jim was in a good mood and he just wanted to drive.
Anyway, dentist appt. went fine. The usual.."you need to floss", "have you ever had your teeth whitened"?? But... No cavities!!
That is so great meeting Dan and Sue in London.Hi Terri,
We are about half way through our visit. It's going so fast, I hope we have time to do everything we want. I've been sending mini-trip reports back home every week, but when we have company the tours are increased and the free-time decreased, so I'm falling behind. May have to finish after we return.
Dan & Sue asked about driving on the other side of the road. After driving home from London, I think I am nearly accoustomed to it now (since I don't drive much here it took longer for me than for Lara), but I am beginning to worry a little about driving on 'our' side of the road upon returning. And I really love to drive.
Speaking of which I was comparing the British to Americans. I believe the British have a slight advantage over us when traveling abroad. First they are close to others who drive on our side of the road, but even if they rarely get out of the UK, they are still exposed to a lot of American movies, where they see from a young age the difference. We don't see many British movies, except maybe James Bond, where they drive on the UK side of the road.
I have a friend who has a 2 year old son, who just found out she is having...We had a great time this afternoon meeting and hanging out with John, Lara, and of course Laran! My FIL is a true Englishman, he grew up in Putney, near Wimbledon. He still has his accent. When my daughter was learning how to speak, she had an English accent because my FIL was the main babysitter. It was so cute!
I was just wondering if Terrie (Calypso) is still eating Snickers or has she given them up? After checking out the link below, you will understand.
