5 O'Clock Somewhere, right?

Good Morning everyone!!!
Off to the dentist. :scared1:

We had a great time hanging with you, Jim & Lilly tonight!! Definitely have to do it again! Oh, and I forgot to ask you how your dentist appt went!

Not sure where to eat the other nite. Maybe Via Napoli - anyone eaten there? or Tutto Italia

Haven't eaten there yet...I think we'll be having lunch there post-cruise. :thumbsup2

Gotta start diet/exercise Monday.

Yeah, me too!!!

Can't wait till we hit 70 degrees!

Me neither!!!

Love this picture!!!!

Kelly - here is the picture of the ingredients of the konk kooler. All the drinks sound so good right now, I think I'm going to try one of each on the Member Cruise to see if they taste equally as good! :lmao:

:lmao: That is soooo true! It is supposed to be in the 60's here on Monday, so that should be a good day for tanning....you wouldn't even need a jacket!!

Debbie---We had a great time last night too. Lilly is still asking where her "friends, Emilee and Brandon," are!! I can't believe we sat in that play area for so long. Went by way too fast. We definitely have to get together again! :thumbsup2How was your drive home?? We took the LONG way...for some reason, Jim was in a good mood and he just wanted to drive. :confused3 Anyway, dentist appt. went fine. The usual.."you need to floss", "have you ever had your teeth whitened"?? But... No cavities!!

Feels good to be under 180 for the 3 day before the all important member cruise..don't ya think.... :)

I can't believe I beat Dan and Sue (Truffle and clayfolks) to the DISboard. We all ate together at Bistro1 in Covent Garden area of London. It was recommended by their DD Terra and it was great! The prices were remarkably reasonable compared to the Midwest, not to mention the middle of London. We had a 3 course lunch including starters, main, and desserts.

Backing up a little ... Lara and I were in London overnight to drive her mom (mum) and sister to Heathrow first thing this morning. We left the car at the Hotel, took the city bus to the Tube (subway) station for the 50 minute ride into town. At Terra's recommendation, Dan & Sue would meet us at the subway exit around 12:30. While talking to them the previous night, I ran out of minutes on my pay-as-you-go cell phone, so when we just missed the city bus to the Tube and had to wait in line for Oyster (metro) tickets I couldn't call them (Lara left her phone in the car). But they were still there awaiting our arrival (sorry Dan & Sue!).

I recognized them immediately from DISboard photos. We had great conversation, just like old friends who hadn't seen each other in a while. Keep in mind this is the first time I have spent so much time getting to know people before I met them. For others who are new to the DISboard this cruise, I can definitely say, it is very worthwhile. Dan showed us photos of their 19 month old grandson and the new twins. The looked like two peas in a pod, each swaddled up and laying face to face. So cute!

In this area, the streets are closed and completely open to pedestrians. We walked through the human statues and other performers on our way to lunch. Following lunch we went to the Disney store and did some shopping at the marketplace. Sue managed to find a scarf which matched her bright green shoes and purple purse. She nixed the near perfect match, figuring it would only work on the rare occasion she wore that combination of clothes again. Her and Lara went together on a 2 scarfs for one combo price, and Sue found another one she liked too.

We took a few photos, which Dan and I will exchange. I'll ask Dan to post whatever ones he likes for me since I don't have a site to host them (I know I could use photobucket, but I don't really like using those sites). Laran was a little shy at first, but quickly returned to normal ... I think sitting down for a meal together helps with that.

I really enjoyed talking with their daughter Terra on the phone ... very energetic and bubbly. I know you are both very proud of her and her accomplishments. In talking about her participation in a prestegious sailboat race, we learned of a mutual friend in Michigan. A boater named Jack who is related to Sue has a nice boat in the same marina where we have our boat. Over last summer we got to know Jack pretty well. It's - A - Small -World - After - All... Don't sing it, or it'll be stuck in your head all day.

Best wishes to Dan, Sue, and the rest of their clan who will be joining them for a tour of Ireland!

Just Awsome....

I don't think I could do a night shift anymore. Wasn't too crazy about it when mine were little. How much longer are you in Ireland?
We haven't even made it to Ireland yet. In London until Tuesday. We met up with Hoosier John, Lara, and Laran today at covent garden!!

We had a great time this afternoon meeting and hanging out with John, Lara, and of course Laran! As John said, it was just like old friends meeting after a long absence. :grouphug: It is funny that both John with his family and us had to travel to a foreign country to meet when we only live about a 4 hour drive apart! :lmao: Something that John didn't mention was that the restaurant, as busy as it was, didn't pressure us in the least to leave, so we were able to sit and chat for quite a while. After lunch, Sue and Lara were off on a mission to find a couple of scarves, leaving John, Laran, and me in the dust! They finally found the ones they were looking for and we didn't lose them in the crowds!:worship:

The reason that John beat me to the boards was that we arrived home to a veritable flurry of activity consisting of DD, Terra, getting clothing together for a several day driving adventure with a 19 month old son who is suddenly growing a fair amount and a pair of month old twins who are just plain messy. After we helped get that done by taking care of all 3 kidlets, it was time for dinner. And feeding. And changing. And then we got to eat. Needless to say, it has been a tad hectic around here this evening! After all that was sorted out we got to eat, and after clean-up, I finally have time to post. Whew! I don't envy their lives for the next few years with the amount of work that 3 boys that age brings! :worship::worship::worship:

I will eventually get the pictures together, it will take me a little while to have the time to get it together. Maybe tomorrow. We can hope! :thumbsup2

Now, I bid you all a good night. I need my rest for the late shift with the twins... :goodvibes
